My HTC One M8 doesn't seem to connect with the GSM/UMTS network.. It only choose global / CDMA only.. can anyone help me with this?

YES.. thats right, I was able to use this phone just fine until I downloaded the LTE Thunderbolt on the appstore, changing the radio band, and that's it.. my phone doesnt get any signal now..

You want 3G data from other than AT&T? That's possible, but depends on where you live. Your post is a little cryptic (you're not a Jedi, are you?). Try to explain a little more about what you are looking for.

Inspire will not work with European 3G bands, it will work with AT&T 3G bands only. So you will only have Edge network in networks other than AT&T compatible networks.

im using smart simcard here in the philippines.
why does my phone dont recognize other simcard
when i change simcard(globe simcard in the philippines)it dont have signal but it can read my message and contacts that already stored in that simcard.
i also try to put other globe simcard it has the same problem.
i dont think that my phone is locked to smart simcard because it can read my
globe messages and contact and it doesnt popup any activation code

Did you check your career frequencies with your phone spec ? They should match. Is your phone is in WCDMA mode only ? If so change it to GSM only . Then try .

It just turn to gsm and when i try to change it do WCDMA it automatically back gsm only

Did it work in GSM mode ?? If so, then the WDCDMA (3g ) band of your career is not campatible with sensation . Sensation 4G supports 900/2100 MHz band for WCDMA. If you country allows 850/1900 MHz for WCDMA , then you have no luck to use WCDMA. Check with your career to clarify this ...

Before when im using 6.5.1 xe it is always in gsm mode but when i just flash it to 6.5.2xe just for a try it now just stay in WCDMA/GSM mode buy still it dont have signal

Service Provider GSM Frequency Band 3G Standard 3G Frequency Band

Is there any career logo on the phone ?? Like T-Mobile or Bell ??

DO you have the correct firmware and radio ? If yes , then I doubt it is a hardware issue.

Sorry if this seems noobish but I've read all the other threads I could find & I still haven't found a fix for my phone. I'm using a T-mobile HTC sensation 4G on a GSM network outside of america. the phone is fully unlocked & compatible with the 4G bands here but I'm still only able to browse on 2G networks. The APN settings in my phone are correct & work with other phones I've tried to connect to 4G. When I received the phone it was rooted with ICS 4.03 on it. I recently updated it to CM 10.2 AOSP 4.3 Jellybean in hopes that a fix for the problem would be included in the ROM but with no luck. Does anyone know how I could resolve this problem?

It has some options about network such as wcdma only,gsm only etc
Try some of them and see if they work

Hi, i im a GSM international user, i don't need CDMA, but when i have 4G LTE my phone not switch automaticaly to 3G when i need call or calling me, i m using latest InsertCoin ROM with VZW support. I use the phone in GLOBAL mode.The only way my phone calls works is change the mode to 2G/3G and off the 4 G. The HSPA service off my operrator sucks.
I ask this for i was a M7 Sprint use and if i will flash another no sprint radio the phone will be brick. (the radio partition is in different place in m7 sprint Phone).

I'm pretty sure you can only flash Verizon radios on Verizon phones. Any other radios you try flashing will most likely brick it.
As said above, radios are unique for each carrier. Flashing. Any other radio will brick the phone.

Hello XDA.I came 2 know verizon has rolled out android lollipop.But I am not able to upgrade using HTC sync manager.When I Purchased the phone it was 4.4.2 then using HTC sync manager i got updated to 4.4.4.I tried to search for update but it says there is no new update Please help.I am using non verizon sim there is no option for me to access cdma network

But when i upgraded from 4.2.2 to 4.4.4 i did not use verizon sim card I was using indian gsm sim card and everything was smooth.Hey did u use htc sync manager to update or by ota using wifi?

What you are needing it not available yet. Also, If you aren't S-off I would be very careful about updating.. Many non-vzw users reporting no cell service after L upgrade due to lack of apn support and they are not editable.

Got My update from VZW OTA on Friday, 3/6/2015 With no Problem. I am S off Unlocked, and it sailed through.
Came in 2 segments. I did however have to go back and do an update search for the second segment, which was over 800MB.
Definately want to use WiFi. Took quite a while to complete.

Hey bro. I just bought a verizon m8 and I'm at Colombia. I'm on stock 4.4.4 , well half roooted with weaksauce 2...but it doesn't fully root. How can I do it? And how can I update "ruu" like you said? Could you please share some links? Thanks!

You need to be S-Off for RUU and unlocked boot loader as I remember to gain full root. You can check there are many threads how to gain root.

I just switched to Adrenaline ROM but when I was completely stock there was option Mobile data -> GSM/UMTS options -> APN -> 3 dot menu add new apns

2 - check dottat's ruu located in Verizon Android development
3 - It is exe but you need to do some steps so the RUU can work properly

The only way now is sunshine. You need to do it either you won't be able to get update until dottat make RUU for S-ON users, but I am not sure will you need unlocked bootloader for that.

The only problem is, LTE not work!
