Xoom screen on PC

Hi Guys,
I was wondering if there is anyway yet to view the Xoom screen on PC..
Something like this...
I did search the forums but couldnt find anything..

What you could probably use is a VNC server on your device and then connect to it via a VNC Viewer on your PC.

Try connecting to the HDMI pc port. Every modern gfx card has one. After that just select on your tv HDMI as source

You could just use android screencast. I normally just use it for my cell phone, but I connected my xoom to it and it works with that too. You need to have the android sdk installed and the xoom has to be detected by adb first before it will work. The keyboard works, but I haven't been able to get mouse control to work with the xoom. The menu buttons in screencast work though.
It's a little slow, but it's free and works for giving control through the PC. There is also an app called WebKey that you can get from the market, but you have to have a rooted device.

ya, i tried the screencast, but for some reason the abd couldnt see my Xoom.. is urs rooted?

You have to turn on USB Debugging first, goto Settings -> Applications and then there should be a USB Debugging option under there.

thanks, i was also missing the motorola usb drivers..
Everything working fine now

[HOW-TO] Remote control your phone from Windows

Easiest way I've found to do this is by using a program called MyMobiler http://www.mymobiler.com
This was tested on ViperS 1.1.0 ROM and works like a charm.
1) Enable USB debugging on phone and connect USB.
2) Install and start MyMobiler on your pc.
3) In your systray on pc: right click the MyMobiler icon and select Connect. This will install MyMobiler on your phone.
4) Start MyMobiler on your phone. Enter settings as below.
5) Repeat step 3 and you should now be able to see and control your phone from your pc!
Settings are as follows (on phone)...
All display related settings on auto.
Display resolution: High
Change touch: Service-Touch
Change touch method: Ginger
Change touch origin: Default
Also, enable the MyMobiler keyboard from within settings if you want to use your keyboard to type!

Can't get it to work.
The Windows part and the Android parts both install on their respective devices but they don't communicate.
ADB recognizes the phone, but this program does not.

i ever tried remote windows from phone, but never from windows to phone
if you want to remote windows from phone, just use team viewer, and it will works like a charm

That's strange. Maybe it has something to do with USB device drivers in Windows?

That's very weird. usually if adb recognizes the phone (which means USB driver is installed correctly), then program based on adb will work. Do you see something like the attached image under device manager?

I have tried it and both are connecting well.
However i am only able to use it for typing and not for selecting icons on my handset.

ok, just another option, you can try our new app, vmlite vnc server, it will surely work, you have full control of the phone, wifi or USB, rooted or unrooted devices.

so far, users like it

Airdroid app is not bad either.
You can use a standard browser to control your phone.

Honda Connect Android System

Hope someone can help. This year, Honda released the Honda Connect system in their cars, the system runs on the Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 platform (yeah old I know) although it appears to be completely locked down, no Play store available! You can get into the typical Android settings menu where you can enable 'allow unknown sources', there is even an app available which lets you choose an APK from the USB stick, it will run through the installation routine although never completes. There is a Honda App Store built in although there is only 1 app available (spoilt for choice right!!!)
What kind of security do you think this unit has fitted? Has anyone ever come across something similar? Would love to install poweramp and Spotify so any advice appreciated.

Hello, I'm also interested. Actually, I've juste discovered a hidden menu by holding power+menu+brightness for about 2 seconds. In this menu, we can enable developer mode but apk install is still not possible...

Unfortunately Honda Connect is not Honda Link, your combination does not work here in Europe. Here we already have an access to Android parameters, but developer menu is missing, and we can't activate it by tapping multiple times on build number

I am french, with a european Honda Connect and it works for me. The menu is just a little bit different.

So, I took some photos to show you my Honda Connect system, and the hidden menu by holding power+menu+brightness for 4 seconds (and not 2).

Thanks for the developer menu tip. I have a Civic and CR-V with Honda Connect in the UK, I'll first need to splice together a USB A-A cable but once done I'll connect up a laptop in developer menu and see what we get.

Someone at piloteers.org was able to get adb connection over vi-fi. But still with no success installing custom apk.
How was your experiment with A-A USB cable?

I am Also very interested. You can mirror link your htc m8/9 phone but it would be better just to use the android itself. It has plenty of power from its Tegra chip. An a/a usb you say. I will buy one

honda connect custom apk install?
ANy news on the installs of apks?
i just picked up my Honda HRV with honda connect.
Enable developer mode and ticked the option to install from unsecured sources. Tried from usb install was greyed out. and tried to connect adb over wifi. got it to connect, but when you run the command to install apk it says device is not connected. Needs a reboot of laptop and car for it to connect again.
I looked at all the apps installed/running and theres loads of Fujitsu apps/services install. again options to uninstall/disable are greyed out. i guess the lock down is something to do with that.
I still need to try adb over usb and see if the laptop sees anything.

Just an idea...

Backup of whole system via ADB - Touchscreen broken & not readable

Hello,
unfortunately my S7 fell to the ground and what began with a very small pixel-sized purple dot, now spread all over the screen so I can't see anything on the screen. Thereby I can't confirm any prompts.
When I plug the device via USB to my Linux computer, calling for "adb devices" the phone is listed "offline". I also tried the ADB suite on a windows computer, where it is "unauthorized". I can't confirm the prompt as the touchscreen doesn't work.
Are there any cables, that allow to connect to a working screen (TV) or that allow multiple connections for PC and wired mouse? The idea is, to connect to the computer and then blindly clicking, hoping to hit the correct button eventually.
Is there a solution, using the hard buttons in order to get to a certain boot mode? I read something about this, but didn't find a way, yet. The phone is not rooted.

I use sydesync, only connecting the USB cable to PC and you can use your phone in the PC. But you need install the app before.

I installed the app via my google play account. Unfortunately, I am asked to scan a qr code and to enter a PIN. As I can't read and use the display, there is no chance to start sidesync on my phone.

If you can access by USB MTP you can take one screenshot and see the code in your pc

My Pc Won't Recognize Vivo Nex S

Hey guys,
I have an issue that's been frustrating me. I can't connect my Vivo to my pc. I should be fine because I did everything. I uploaded the newest driver (I believe), I downloaded Vivo Assistant to
pc and I turned on USB debugging. When I put on the cable to the phone it does nothing other than charging.
Am I missing something? I'd appreciate any help!

Have you enable under developer setting-select usb configuration-media transfer protocol (MTP)??
By default it's only for charging,actually all the smartphone by default is charging selected and every user must change it to MTP and so pc can recognized it as hard drive.

Just to clarify situation.
Did you do what I've suggested and still your pc does not recognize your phone??
Did you tried different usb cable or different usb port on pc and still nothing??
This has nothing to do with global or any region parameter.
It's simple how every android device works.

See if when you connect to pc there's a message in notification center asking how you want to use USB connection. Select file transfer. You access this notification by sliding down from the top of the phone screen edge.
Also, unlock the phone before you connect to pc.

Yeah, I did what you suggested but sadly didn't work. I have used a different cable but haven't used a different pc. Maybe I should try that.

Remove MTP or your device from Device Manager and give it another go.
