[Q] How to flash a rom ics from ginger.

Hi all, I wanna know how to flash this ics rom in my SGS2 with gingerbread 2.3.7. Thanks

0. Download the ICS ROM and extract it to your SD Card and place it in any folder you want.
1. MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP!
2. Select the "-wipe data/factory reset" tab and select "- Yes -- delete all user data" Now, you may be asking, WTF!? why do I need to wipe my phone?! Well this is so the ROM will function properly. To restore your apps from the previous backup use AppExtractor available on the Google Play Store.
3. Goto "- install zip from sdcard"
4. Select "-choose zip from sdcard"
5. Browse through your filesystem and find your ROM.
6. Once you have located it, select it and confirm the install by selecting, "- Yes - Install [Rom Name.zip]"
7. Once the installer says it is completed, go back to the main menu of CWM and select, "-reboot system now"
8. Enjoy your newly flashed ROM!

Do I need an ICS base first?? I'm on gingerbread...Thanks

You shouldn't, if the ROM includes a full kernel. Read the ROMs prerequisites very carefully

And...
HOW TO INSTALL MAGIC ROM :
• Rom is Full Wipe
• You must have Root on your Device With CFROOT or any other Kernel (speedmode or siyah ... )
• Copy MAGIC_ROM_v1_XWLPG.ZIP to sdcard
• Make Backup to your apps and data
• Go to CWM Recovery and Wipe Data and ,cash ,Dalvick
• Then from CWM Recovery choose install zip rom sdcard
• and choose MAGIC_ROM_v1_XWLPG .
• after finish installing reboot your device .. and enjoy ..

I just flash the rom and all ok, thanks to all !!!

rename zip file to update.zip
put in SD card (don't put in folder.. root directory only)
then go to cwm
choose update.zip from SD card
then flash it...

Brother you mentioned that we need to install the zip twice...please request you to explain the steps again...

Got bootloop

The reason u all r getting bootloop is because u r directly formatting the system that shouldn't be done. Miss that step and continue. Hope it will work.

this Rom is only DeoDexed, Zipalign, etc..

yes there is no change in ui... but try installing lewa and see its working or not for further improvement
