3) Go To CMW Recovery

5) Pre-flash Wipe
6) Storage Management->Erase dalvik-cache
7) Zip Flashing -> Choose ZIP from SD Card->SPICE_S4.zip->No-Install without backup->Select theme
->Next->Next->Agree terms & conditions->Next->Next->Select default or custom installation
8) For custom->Select NVRAM and IMEI backup if you wish->Next->Next->Select desired applications to install->Next->Next->Next->Finish
9) Reboot Your System
10)After doing all settings again reboot into recovery and flash this update package

I did a factory reset and cleared cache and installed the update as well. It boots and stays there on the boot screen.

There is no bootloop problem in the ROM,Many people has sucessfully flashed it.No bootloop problem faced as of you.Try flashing stock ROM,then flash it.Thanks for feedback

Ok. After STOCK Rom installation I was able to get past the boot loop. But the WIFI connects but never uses it.
The SIM never gets initialized. And this is after a Stock Rom install, with all radio and other default images pushed.

I myself has tested this ROM and then posted above screenshots,There was no such problems I faced.Try Wiping cache and Dalvik Cache and do factory reset.

What is SmallDroid?:
SmallDroid is a great ROM based on CM7 for the LG Ally. Its main goal is stability, but also bringing users some extra space along with awesome performance.
Working :
everything except for listing below (I hope )
Not Working :
Camera works fine, no autofocus/flash
Bugs :
Music app starts when headphones are plug in - mostly after devices has fallen asleep, music will play.
Keyboard is tiny (3rd party keyboards don't stay after reboot)
Removing Provision.apk breaks HOME button
How to flash SmallDroid :
Download and copy the latest ROM zip to SD Card
Reboot into Recovery Mode
Select Wipe data and cache
Select install zip from sd card
Select choose zip from sd card
Select the new ROM zip
Select Yes - Install update
Wait until the Installation is finish
Flash gapps (optional)
Select reboot system now

Fix Blackscreen when phone is sleeping
------------------------------------------------------------------------
On 1st boot you must make sure that cyanogenmod > settings > display settings:
screen on and off animations are unchecked. Failure to do so will result in device waking up to a black screen.
Enable Data Connection
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Under wireless & network settings/mobile networks International Data Roaming must be checked. You will not roam on other carriers and incur any extra charges (roam is done via prl on cdma not a checkbox). This setting is required on cdma phones for cyanogen. Failure to do this will result in no data connection.

just flashed a few minutes ago, it seems to run as smooth as gingerbread gets! boot animation for me was a little laggy, maybe our old ally cant handle it lol, i tested most of the apps it does not have a sim tray so i cant activate it for testing messaging/calls/other network related stuff but im sure they work fine, didnt get any crashes the wifi works fine this overall is a great rom!

I'm getting a FC from the theme chooser, what gives?
This is due to restoring data/apps from Google. Go ahead and clear data and cache for theme chooser and theme provider then reboot you should be good moving forward.
I changed my LCD density and now the navbar looks weird, what gives?
This is currently an issue that we are aware of and are addressing. For now, after you've changed the density -- reset navbar layout or stay on the stock density.
TWRP and Rom install
- install fastboot and the phone drivers on the PC
- hold volume up and down and power for start fastboot
- search your device in terminal/cmd with "fastboot devices"
- if you see "<waiting for device>" , fastboot is not configured properly on your machine.
- you must start this command in terminal/cmd "fastboot oem unlock"
