try holding down the power button and the volume up button at the same time. The tablet then goes into recovery mode and it will give you a list of options to choose from. Use the volume up and down to toggle from each choice and then use the power button to confirm.

What do you mean by that?
If you mean hard reset, to do that hold down the two soft keys and press the power button while still pressing the softkeys. Then press 0 when it asks you to do so and the phone will hard reset.

Your picture shows you have formated BinFS w/o SuperCID. You need to find a OE(ship rom) for your phone, install it, then follow Karhoe's guide to upgrade your phone.
Thank you, brother
how can we hard reset this phone??
Off the phone , press left and right soft key together, then use another finger to turn on the phone, with the two soft keys still being pressed

Hello guys. I'm using lenovo a889, and using xperia rom.
After i make some changes at xposed framework, and restart my phone, the phone stuck at boot.
What should I do?
I try to get into the recovery mode, but I get this. Do anyone understand and can translate them?

Translation done
Already get the meaning of the words. Thanks to this thread- http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-a3000/general/lenovo-3000-factory-mode-chinese-list-t2655858
But I still stuck at boot. Is anyone willing to help me?
Solved!
Already solved. All I miss was its need to push the three button together (volume up, down and power) to enter the recovery mode. I just push the power and volume up button before, so it goes to the factory mode.
And from there all I just need is another rom to flash with. Great! :laugh:

How would I do it?
Sent from my F1f using XDA-Developers mobile app
Did you encrypt your phone?
I'm assuming you fiddled with settings as I know you've already been using a lot of other functions in the phone.
I don't know if a wipe of data and cache will do it, but for a stock F1f you can enter stock ColorOS recovery by holding power and vol - buttons in from off and release power button once some action happens. Keep vol - in until it reaches recovery, then choose English by pressing volume up/down to change, power to select.
Have you forgotten the pattern? Or you remember but want to change method?
If you choose another option it will prompt for the unlock then once unlocked you can change it.
There is an option down that says "Clear Credentials" , just click that option and then the "No password " option will be enabled.
Clear Credentials worked, thanks for that tip, it was driving me crazy why it was greyed out ..
My daughter handed me her phone, as she was trying to lock the screen, but the button at the top of the screen wasn't responding. So I held it down for a few seconds to restart the device, which worked, however the following screen appeared:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The only button which responds is the volume up button (which moves the selection down). Volume down and power button don't do anything.
Is the phone bricked?
Thanks.
Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
No, the device is not completely bricked, its only soft bricked. That looks like the Bootloader screen to me, You should be able to flash it with its stock firmware to recover the device but I need you to post the model number of the device and the mobile network it is on. Then I can try to help you find the files you'll need and the instructions you'll need to recover the device.
