Has anyone else noticed that the volume levels on everything in the phone do not go very loud at full volume? I'm hoping there will be a fix for it soon. Has anyone found an Android Market App that helps or fixes that problem on the Sensation?
My normal player is poweramp. But I found playerpro to give me the loudest sound on the sensation. So it's what I been using

I was thinking more of phone call and speakerphone volumes, but the the built in audio and video players have equally low volume levels. Sad when you can barely hear it in a quiet room.
My ringtones and notifications are pretty loud but when I use speaker phone its far too low to be useful.

I was gonna ask the the same thing. I think that the speaker volume is kinda low. My hd2 seems louder. And that includes all sounds . What do you guys think?

Nope, just tried it. It sets the volume to overload levels, and the volume rocker cannot lower it at all.
Reporting back on a somewhat different volume issue. Turns out that when I have wifi calling on, volume is really low when talking on speakerphone.
be careful on that 'hearing aids' setting. I have blown a speaker on a previous device (I think it was an Aria) when I had that setting and used the speakerphone. Doesnt mean it will happen here but just an FYI

I thanked you because I had no idea that setting existed.
Nice!
Same here, very low speaker volume. Does anyone know if the custom roms for this phone will have the higher volume fix?

Open your Keypad/Dialer and press the menu key. Under the sub-menu list tap "call settings" scroll down a little and make sure "Increasing volume in pocket" is not checked.
I am a bit anoid that in kitkat you cannot set / control the volume of the ringtone and notifications independently
On my old S3 I would use tasker to switch the notification sounds off at certain times but now this also mutes the ringtone
Does anybody know a way to split the ringtone and notification control??
You can't on stock... I learned the hard way. Now on a custom ROM and I can unlink them. Love it

Does anyone else struggle to hear the phone ringing when it's in a pocket outside? I've missed loads of calls.
Any way to make it louder?

Washer, you might be interested looking in HERE if you are rooted.
So far mine doesn't have any problem as my phone speaker is facing upwards in my pocket. I haven't tried yet the mod yet so if someone can report here it is working it would be great.
Hope this helps!
I have my phone upside down too! Not rooted, breaks too many of my apps

Try either "Sweet Child of Mine - GnR", "Still Got the Blues - Gary Moore", or "Bad to the Bone - George Thorogood", as ringtones.
Strange... My phone is so incredibly loud i always fear the speakers will break one day
But Im rooted and have several sound tweaks...

Try to increase the sound of the ringtone file. You can do it with some third party softwares. I used to do that with Nero's wave editor.

Using FauxSound the phone is insanely loud now.
Custom kernel needed.

Is there any way to set the vibration type for notifications, besides just the intensity?

I thought it was just me. I couldnt find anything to adjust the vibration for text either.
I use Textra and you can setup up a bunch custom vibrations for messages which you can choose per contact.. It's pretty useful.
