I have a 16 GB ROOTED Moto G, running LiquidSmooth ROM 3.1 with 4.4.4 KitKat, and no custom kernels... Every time I try to watch a video on YouTube, Instagram, Vine, etc., the video is displayed green and purple, and distorted. This also happens in the browser, however, when I switch to full screen, the video displays normally... What could be the problem? I can't find anyone else with the same problem, no matter what phone/ROM they are using... This has become extremely annoying as I can't watch videos because of the distortion, please help! Thanks. I have attached a screenshot as an example.

Hi everyone,
I am having an issue with my S3 receiving short videos via SMS/MMS. When I try to open the video via my messaging app (tried with both Go SMS Pro and stock), it just displays a still photo, but the audio plays. Also, the photo is very small and on the top of the screen. I'm aware of the stock messaging app giving people fits with a photo acting as a short, couple second video, but not in my case. It is the other way around, but the sound of the video plays, with a still shot photo.
I am on Clean Rom 5.5.1 with the latest version of LeanKernel.
Installed CleanRom 5.6 and the problem is gone. However, I doubt it was a problem with 5.5.1. Probably something I tinkered with and broke. All is well now.
Hello,
Stock galaxy Note Pro 12.2 (Android 4.4.2)
When playing back video, the screen goes dark but the audio continues.
At first I thought this was a "Yahoo Screen" issue, as it was noticeable when my wife tried to watch the Dave Matthews' Band broadcast a few days ago, but then I noticed it was happening on regular video playback taken on the internal camera as well.
BUT, the picture returns when there are at least *3* fingers on the screen. 1 or 2 makes it flicker like there is some sort of a short, but 3 or more and the video shows up crystal clear and normal.
I really don't want to send the thing back to Samsung if I can avoid it, so any other suggestions not requiring an advanced EE degree would be appreciated. Thanks!
Have you tried a different videoplayer? Diceplayer, VLC...

So far I have only used the stock player, another player attached to some photo editing program, and the Yahoo! Screen app, but based on the behavior I would think it software related (doesn't change behavior based on how "hard" I press the screen, just how many places)
After flashing CarbonROM onto my Galaxy Exhibit Sgh-T599n, any videos I receive over Snapchat won't play, and instead show a black screen. I can still hear the audio, but there's just a flash of the first frame of the video, and then it switches to a black screen. Anyone know how to fix this, or am I going to have to flash some other rom? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
Had anybody experienced this issue with their LG G FLEX 2 yet? When I watch videos on YouTube or Facebook, the videos slightly repeatedly turn red then refresh back every 2 secs or so. I bought a brand new H950 ATT model recently and just noticed it after updating my phone to the latest software. I did soft and hard resets already and nothing happens. I tried to watch other videos on different programs such as Gallery and Chrome and they don't have this weird issue. (Which i am guessing, is not a hardware issue)
Try turn off auto adjust screen tone in display options

Hi
I have been spending all day trying to troubleshoot this problem. On my BLu G9 (rooted), I have battled the occasional glitch where videos would stop playing. A simple restart would take care of it. Now, suddenly it has become a green screen. I hear the audio. But no video.
In VLC, I disabled Hardware Acceleration and videos work fine. I tried that in Chrome, and Youtube works. But nothing else. Twitter videos and GIFs show green. I also use Youtube Vanced and its green as well. So this is a global problem. And I see no way to disable HA across the entire phone like you can on a PC.
Anyone have any ideas?
