Hello guys how are you? i found this thread here which explains how can i root my phone without unlocking bootloader. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41714109). I just wanted to ask one thing that how can i install a software so that i can backup official rom incase anything goes wrong and i have to re-flash that rom and if anyone can tell me the procedure to do it. And if you guys could, can anyone one of you tell me how can i unroot it if i need to sent it for warranty. Thanks that is all i wanted to ask
Hi!
You can ask questions in the thread you linked. For any help, that's where to ask.
I'll tell you though, after looking at that, you can't install a custom recovery.... So backing up your whole system won't be possible. Not without a custom recovery to do it.
If you're very concerned.... Don't do it.
Good luck!

So i did root this phone although not by the one mentioned in the thread (i installed the drivers but the unlock root couldn't detect my device). I followed another method in which i have to unlock bootloader and in that i could only reach to the point of unlocking boot loader and flashing twrp recovery but twrp recovery screen wasn't working so i was stuck with unlocked bootloader and browsed the net for several hours until i found the
ProHunter method of Modaco forum in which he provided a complete software to unlock, install recovery, and then install SuperSU. But now i am concerned about one thing. Can anybody of guys tell me how can i completely backup my system so that i can restore it if something bad happens? And can any of you guys be kind enough and tell me how can i backup my stock rom i would be in forever debt of you. Thanks for the reply.

You need a custom recovery installed, like twrp or cwm, then you do a nandroid backup in the recovery.
Any further questions about that device should go here...

You can reinstall bootloader through installing right RUU for your phone, then HERE you have multi-purpose guide and THERE you have all roms and guides for everything for this device. If you need with something help, ask. :fingers-crossed:

What "toll kit online" did you used?
Anyway this is a good guide with a step by step for you to unlock > flash.
Read thoroughly and try to understand each step before proceeding.
Cheers

Even after unlocking your device`s bootloader, it still remains as it was- stock,
the only difference is, that it is unlocked now-
security-on flag, has been lifted, for certain device`s nand partitions.
so, you now have rights to write to those,
that`s what it means...
...and is enough to load and use, any custom rom
to your phone...
To revert to the state from before unlocking:
simply- in ADB ,with device connected and rebooted in to bootloader,
issue command:
fastboot oem lock
the phone will then do its thing and that`s it- it is locked again.
For the record:
even if you wish to run RUU,
before it, you MUST relock bootloader,
otherwise RUU will always throw back an error...
I do not know about unlocking or rooting kits,
but in my opinion is best to do it manually,
then, at least you know what you`re doing,
and where it is failing- if so...
1. HTCdev- as easy as one can imagine
2. Flashing recovery of your choice via fastboot
3. Flashing superuser via newly installed recovery
..and that`d be all- it`s rooted...
...If you want to flash custom rom, after unlocking bootloader,
you do not even need to root your current system,,
just need CUSTOM RECOVERY- through which, you can- then
flash system that is rooted already.....
In desire S/android development/ index of roms recovery...
you`ll find everything you`ll ever need,
or:
Desire S/questions&Answers/DesireS help thread noob friendly....
posts:
#2 and #3.....

flooded with tutorials, how to`s, ROMS and other goodies....

So I have a noob question for the experts here. I generated my blob and bricksafe image and related tokens. I just can't figure out how to use them to unbrick the tablet. Got the pinwheel of death after updating bootloader and installing cleanrom inheritance. Tried the recommended downgrade method but no luck. TWRP still works like a champ as well as fastboot and APX mode and I can still get into nvflash. Just don't know how to "flash" the images and tokens to get moving again. I looked through thread after thread telling me how to generate but not one to install or use. If there is and I missed it please do point me to it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
P.S. Long time lurker but this is my first post. Quite the place you have here.

If your TWRP, fastboot, and adb are still working, then your bootloader and custom recovery are still good.... You may want to format your data partition and wipe everything on your internal SD and then flash your custom ROM again... You may need to check that your TWRP and your bootloader are compatible before installing the custom ROM... Good luck..:fingers-crossed:

I did but I disregarded it since it was done in Linux. I will give it a try though and change commands where needed. Thanks for the reply.
I don't think you need to use the nvflash files as you are not bricked. If you have a spinning wheel and can get to TWRP then make sure you flash the booloader package in the first post of CROMi-X first, reboot and then flash the rom again.

You know that you have to boot back into system after flashing the bootloader, do you?
The sequence is:
flash bootloader in TWRP
reboot system
boot back into TWRP
flash rom
Hello, I recently attempted to flash cyanogen 9.1.0 onto my sensation z710a using the HTC all-in-one toolkit by hasoon. I am new to the process, but managed to unlock my bootloader with the application. I flashed CWM recovey as provided by the toolkit, and then booted into recover with that to install superuser and cyanogen from the sd card. In the process I neglected to wipe the previous rom or back it up as everything seemed to be working well so far. When I booted the phone afterward, the htc load screen appeared, then the Cyanogen logo, and everything seemed to be working fine, but it never got past that bootscreen. I tried to flash some of the other recovery mods provided by the toolkit, but couldn't access any of them from hboot afterward, only the original CWM I flashed. I tried flashing the kernel afterward to the stock kernel and since then the phone has just gotten stuck on the HTC boot screen any time I try to power on. I can still access Hboot, and the CWM recovery so I'm hoping the phone isn't completely wrecked, but I've hit a wall for options on how to get it functional again.
My phone is an HTC Sensation z710a with Virginmobile Canada
hboot 1.27
unlocked with s-on
Any direction in what steps I can take to either get Cyanogen working or find a stock rom to flash if that will help get past the bootloop would be amazing.
Hi, thank you fro using XDA Assist. You'll probably have to return to stock and start over. See if this helps you, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1848804&page=6

Firstly, I'd really like to thank you for your response, this is horribly frustrating and having any guidance at all helps a lot.
I started by visiting your recommended thread and reading through that a bit. It looked like I wanted a copy of my stock rom to flash.
First I found out my CID is BM___001
Then that my software version is 3.32.666.53
I tried to find a RUU based on that and had success finding the rom.zip for it, but not the executable, which I'm not sure I'll be able to flash properly on it's own with the bootloop still occurring, but that's my next step. Should I be formatting the system and recovery partitions before re flashing a recovery like 4ext instead of CWM which I had before? what do you recommend in regard to recoveries?

Our mission on XDA Assist is to get you to the right place to get help. We are not experts on all devices. So it's best to ask in the link I gave you. But don't format any of your partitions. Android is not quite like your computer. Formatting partitions can brick your device if you don't really know what you're doing.

None of that makes sense. You don't need a recovery to unlock your bootloader. Your bootloader can't disappear either. Look, you're going to have to provide a lot more information if you expect anybody to be able to help you. We need details, lots of them. We need to know exactly what you did to the device, we need to know exactly what the device can and can't do now. You need to explain everything with as much information as possible, because honestly, with the information you've given so far nobody can help at all.

Ok well..
I was recently trying to flash the new oxygen OS onto my oneplus, but when i was trying to flash a custon recovery to do so like TWRP, it said bootloader needed to be unlocked, I did what was needed but my phone wouldnt boot into the stock recovery (or recovery of any form) and just stayed at the boot screen. This made me unable to unlock my bootloader so i am basically stuck on the current version of Android and cannot upgrade or flash.

That still doesn't make sense. Where did you read that you need to boot into recovery in order to unlock your bootloader? That isn't true. You use fastboot to unlock your bootloader, not recovery. Have a look at my guide here:

have u try flash magisk with twrp ??is it work?
Relocking device with modified partitions can possibly brick your device, please do not post guides without trying it on your device first.

@sayan8, please be careful as to what you are posting in your help thread / guide...
1. You have almost copied the unlock /relock steps from the realme website...https://c.realme.com/in/post-details/1134295513231785984 without giving credit to the website link.
2. Mistake as pointed out above by @acervenky.
3. You have linked the twrp to the realme3pro twrp thread where NOBODY has been able to boot up his phone / boot into twrp after flashing the twrp posted there.. Under these circumstances, why would you advise anyone else (probably a noob) ti brick his phone by doing what you posted?
A better method would be to add the caveats (warnings) for flashing twrp (nobody has successfully done it, yet) or the relock method.
Regards.

Hey ,
1. I have given proper credits to everyone. See at the bottom.
2. I know that and should have mentioned the warning there.
3. I know that , I thought anyone who's familiar with xda would've known that custom partition can brick your device while relocking. Yeah you are right , should have tried this on a device first before posting the guide .
I'm removing this guide and request the mods to delete this thread.
No need for such an extreme step. Keep it as work in progress...after all you are the OP of the thread....wait a while twrp, root, all will fall in place...
