First, it's called an emulator. And you have quite a few options for android. The best tree are... 1- DraStic Ds emulator, 2- Nds4droid, 3- pretendo ds emulator. And you might want a file explorer if you need to install roms manually. Hope this helped!

[Q] ROM INSTALLER FOR SNES9x Ex & n64oid

Hi guys, I am having issues installing these lists of Roms. These are all in zip form
Contra
Final Fantasy
Mario Brothers
Megan Man
Super Mario Brothers
Zelda
When in CWM the zip shows up in "install zip from sd" but when I try to install zip it gives me a installation aborted. Can anyone help me figure this out please. Thank you for your time.
correct me if im wrong but I dont think you have to INSTALL the roms. At least I dont w/ my snes emulator. just put the files in the rom directory for the emulator. im using snesoid but i'd assume its the same for yours.
after reading the OP i really lost all hope in humanity.... this is why the green lanterns and all those cool aliens dont come down to earth >_>
Ok that helps, so do I go into cwm or how would I do that? I appreciate your time alot

Why do u say that? I might have the whole thing wrong just looking for a Lil direction I have installed snes ex and can't get them to work. I'm not trying to talk sh*t. Thank you

no prob just use either root explorer or astro to place the roms in the rom directory of the emulator. im assuming you have the files on your sd card already so now you just have to put them in the right place so the emulator can run them.
Also do they still have to be in zip or unzipped when moved to the rom section in snes?
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
usually they dont the emulator can just run the whole zip but it may require you to unzip it for the .smc file. depends on the emulator.
Ok ill see what I get and let u know thnx again

no prob
ok i have nesoid installed and have super mario brothers 3 and the original one installed now i had to get an emulator rom downloader to download the roms to my phone so if u already have the roms downloaded just open up the emulator u have and u should see a directory like for me i saw the contents of my sdcard i scrolled down and seen roms clicked on that then i seen super mario brothers 3 .zip and i clicked on that then woila! good to go , your emulator should make a directorie called roms for u, if u download androzip from market u should see it in there also
Dude you phukin rock i got it to work
Ya thank you both of you that worked to a T highly appreciated for sure
Hi i have just one more question. do you use the stock remote that pops up or do u use an aftermarket i guess you could say for it?
Hi I have a question....again is there any controllers u use for the emulators? The stock one is kinda annoying
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
I just use the stock one I know u can grab different skins but not sure on where to grab those maybe market? ..sorry
Thank u

Hey you guys!!!!!!
I'm a noob but can read and love the Mario brow. Anyone can point me in the right direction of some cool roms. Oh and an emulator.
Yes go to doperoms.com the site will have all the roms for each emulator system. I use Jonneslite n64oid and snes ex., emulators. All the roms you'll want can be found there.

Changing OS of a device ??????????

Hi Guys
I want to know can we change the OS of an android device.
Android ----->> Windows or any other OS and vice-versa. Like we do in our PC or Laptop. Or do i have to use a particular device to achieve the task
Thanks in advance
You usually can't.
If you want to mess with it, Google it and see who's done what with what device.
Ultimately it would be really cool if someone was able to develop some sort of boot-loader that allows you choose your OS at boot. Going between Android and Firefox/Ubuntu would be awesome (and seem more likely?)
yes its possible you can run wxp or ubuntu in your android phone, but dont run smooth...watch:
windows xp on android:

run linux-ubuntu on android:

That's awesome! Thanks for sharing the videos

It depends entirely on which phone, specifically. Remember, you need drivers for the various hardware components. Many drivers are closed-source, and we're at the mercy of whoever owns the code to the drivers.

Noob again! How to put game emulators on an R800x

So in a thread I posted else where,I said I got my R800x to run cm9 by Cyanogen Mod. I don't know if this is good for running a Snes emulator (main reason I did this was to have a portable snes emulator) or a ps1 emulator (don't know if they're different things). Can anyone suggest any good ROMs to run them on or any emulators? I've also tried installing them but I'm having no luck,I don't even know where to start or how to even get it onto the phone because every time I download it through the browser(I can't get Google play on the phone) it isn't able to install the apk or in some cases, down load it. Can anyone help me on this? I hope I've explained everything clearly,I'm still really new to this.>.< and maybe this can help everyone else out in the future as well

If you want to play games in emulators best is some GB ROM (as it is best for playing games generally). I donť know if Gin2KK is for R800x too (i have R800i). However there are some GB ROMs compatible with R800x. ROMs are available from many websites such coolrom.com, emuparadise.com, freeroms.com etc. Then you need to buy some emulator from Google Play (if your ROM doesn't have it, you can download one from here - there is special topic with Google Play Store apks). For PS1 - FPSE or epxse, for SNES i know only older Snesoid. Then put your games to SD card, run emulator and load any of them.

IBy GB do you mean Game boy? And is Gin2KK one of the roms(the system things like cm 9?) that is best for playing games? I have found Snesoid, but I don't know how to install it onto my PLAY which is the one I'm having trouble with. If you could explain how to install it,I would be really happy!

As i see, my explanation wasn't the best. GB is Gingerbread, codename for Android 2.3 - this is Android version for which is hardware of our Plays optimized the best. CM9 is Android 4 (which is named ICS - icecream sandwich) - heavy and slow system for gaming with 512MB RAM and 1GHz CPU (hardware specs of Xperia Play). For emulators you need maximum performance, so some Gigngerbread ROMs is the best options - beside that you said you bought Play only cause gaming, so newer Android than 2.3 is useless for you. Gin2Kitkatt is the best Gingerbread ROM for Xperia Play (in my opinion) - you can find it in Developer section of Xplay section.
To install any app outside Google Play. Download this app to your PC, plug the phone with USB cable to the PC and copy the downloaded .apk file to the sdcard (so you need SD card in your phone). Then in Google play search for ES File explorer or any other explorer (ES is so far the best and for free), install it, run it and then search for the downloaded .apk and install it by touching on it.
Is this clear?

First of all I said, I don't know if Gin2Kitkatt rom is also for R800x (you have to find this information in its topic) - most of all ROMs were made for R800i. If the ROM supports R800x then you didn't follow the instructions well. Flash right .tft, then proper kernel, wipe everthing and then flash the ROM. This must works.

Probably no one can help you here, it is a problem with the downloaded files or the game because it's modded. You should contact the one who modded the game to get some support.
how about unmodded games? spmetime games coming from offline download doesnt run too.

Maybe it is a incompatibility issue with the ROM you are running? Have you tried to run those games you have problems with on different ROMs? You could try to take a backup of your current setup and just try an another ROM just to test if those games will run on another Kernel and ROMs combinations. That's the only tip I have for you...
Hope this helps for you :good:
