Depends what your dad needs.
The OnePlus One is perfect for those who want to CyanogenMod without the risk of a voided warranty or breaking their phone
The S5 (for once) is the more rugid phone with water resistance so if your dad wants a fairly tough phone then the S5 is probably the better choice

Hi all. I'm trying to find the best phone for me and I value your input. I have had all of the Galaxy Phones except for the S5. I really am big on flash and eye candy. I'm trying to decide which At&t phone to get next between the LG G3, S5 and the HTC One M8. I'm obviously going to want to root it and such, but I just want to make sure that I pick a phone that I'm going to be happy with. I currently have the S3 and it does what I need for it too, but I just want a bump in hardware and such. So, between these 3 phones, which do you think I would be happier with? I am about to buy a new phone. So my questions are as follows:
1.) What Carrier has the most active phone being worked on by developers?
2.) Which phones (regardless of carrier) have the most devoted developers working on them?
Note: Basically i want to be able to be a flash addict and try new ROMS with new features made by decent developers (Although beginner or pro, all programmers deserve respect).
What are your guys opinions on the best Android phone to get? My carrier currently is MetroPCS but i might move to T-Mobile. I do not like big screens. The biggest screen i could probably deal with is the Galaxy S5 and that's because i use the hip clip.
I am leaning towards the Galaxy S5 (Upgrade from the S4).... The Sickness makes AWESOME ROMS for the M919 and i'm looking for a new phone with a similar caliber developer that's just as devoted as him.
ANY opinions or direct answers to my questions are greatly appreciated.
Another aspect the phone should have is that it has a great kernel... I LOVE the KT Kernel. Stability and profiles make it so easy to overclock/underclock.

Hello everbody!I need some help with choose my new android phone.i have samsung galaxy ace now,and i want to buy a new android phone,one of those(lg g3,htc one m8.one plus one,samsung note 3) and i need help from someone who has expirience with this phones..i watch rewievs and comparison a lot ,but its not the same..lg g3 i like a lot,but i see users write a lot that he is turning off a lot by itself,and overheating and its stupid to me to buy something for my money that has that issues..i need some advices about what is best to buy..thanks a lot for the answers and sorry for my writing i dont write english so good

Currently i'm using Samsung S4 and i won in a contest the Huawei P8. I haven't received it yet and i'm checking out about it and gathering opinions. I've never used any phones from Huawei, so i was hoping someone could throw in some info/advice and which one should i keep. I'm gonna give the other one to my father mose likely.

Due an upgrade now. Currently have the one M8.
I am mixed between the LG G5 or S7 Edge.
I've not had an LG in decades and I've not been overly fond of the Samsung rand as I dont or didn't like the menu button lol. I also root my phones and I know Samsung have had issues with bootloops.
I know there are both similar in spec for most.
Which phones do the pubic recommend, Doesn't have to be the ones I've chosen so far?
