Hi I rooted my Galaxy Gear 2 using ODIN flashed with R380XXU0BNDDrootfs_root.tar.
I had troubles getting it to detect so I installed Android SDK Manager and only ticked Android SDK Platform-Tools and extras Intel x86 emulator accelerator to install,
Anyway installing Android SDK Manager got my phone detected in ODIN (Gear 2 (08FF)) and I was able to root my phone with ODIN.Now Im going to the next step to run Cyndia Impactor.Well I open Impactor.exe but I get the error no device found.I tried going to usb >driver scan it also says no device found. What am I doing wrong ?
Also , I just installed Wondershare on my pc and also my galaxy s5.I connected the usb cable to the galaxy gear 2 and launch wondershare. It keeps showing the screen please enable usb debugging to continue.I have already enabled usb debugging on my gear.I didnt need to click the build number to activivate the screen on my gears firmware.Just clicked gear info and there is a checkbox right there to enable usb debugging. I really like to run playstore apps on my gear but it seems in stuck atm .
Thanks in advance for any guidance and help !

I installed the Samsung USB drivers on my Win 7 64-bit laptop. I have ADB installed, and have used it for other devices, no problem. I can still use it to connect to my Color Nook.
I kill-server; start-server, and look for devices - nothing. But I can see the USB installer and those other few files on the phone, and I can see everything on the sdcard.
Any ideas? I'm going crazy here.
Do you have USB debugging on?
Sent from my SCH-I510 using XDA App
I had this problem as well.
First see if you have the "SAMSUNG usb driver" installed in control panel programs.
If not, take off usb debug and connect phone to computer. Then you should get a "install verizon software" option once you plug it in. Install software .. Then, enable "usb debuging" try it again, if that doesn't work .. remove verizon software, not usb drivers. This is basically what i did, and it started working
Bought this Galaxy S USED yesterday
I cant get it to connect to my pc
i have done the following.
-installed and reinstalled Kies several times
-Installed and reinstalled drivers several times
-Tried 4 different usb cables
-Tried in USB debugging mode
My phone connects to the pc and then i get a message that my phone is not recognized (windows error 43)
The phone does charge . I have tried all of the options like Samsung Kies , Mass storage , Media player
Nothing seems to work when i select media player option the mpt application starts to crash , i have read on forums that if the mtp crashes i can just select mass storage mode but when i select mass storage mode my pc says device not recognized
When i checked the Build info it says on Kernel Version 2.6.29 [email protected] #4
Firmware version is 2.1-update-1
Build number is Eclair.XWJM2
Please help me with this , i thought maybe there if i flash everything but in order to flash it i need to connect it to my pc which is becoming impossible
have you installed the usb drivers for it? What windows you running?
installed drivers several times but it doesnt seem to help
windows 7 32 bit
You can try using a program called usbdeview. Google it and download it. It shows you all of the drivers installed on your computer. Delete all of the drivers affiliated with your phone. Make sure USB Debugging is checked and connect your phone and allow it to install the drivers automatically. It might work, either way, worth a try.
I get this error when i try to connect my tab to adb ..do you guys have any ideas what i can do to make it to work?
I mention that i have the drivers(from Kies),usb debugging is enabled and adb works on my phone.
I believe you need the android usb drivers supplied by google to get it to connect. They can be downloaded using the sdk package manager. Also I'm not sure it will work having the Samsung drivers installed and you may have to uninstall them first.
they are installed already since i installed the whole sdk manager pack

What drivers are showing up when you plug in the device? If it says Samsung then you don't have the android drivers installed. And I believe you can't have both installed only one or the other as only one will load when you plug in the device not both.
I have the Samsung Android ADB Interface driver(although is not showing when i plug in the device) and the drivers which came with sdk manager

When you plug the device in, under Device Manager in Windows, there should be listed Android Composite ADB Interface under the device. If not the Google USB drivers were not installed properly.
yeah I dont think my theme is the culprit, there are many reasons why ADB wouldnt show devices. Also Heimdall>Zadig is good for drivers.
run sdk manager and install latest google drivers as well.
are you on Windows OS?
nope, not your theme its the culprit..cuz i didnt install it and i cant install it cuz of no adb connection which is required by a tool named AutoDEOTool1.0.3
I installed latest google driver via sdk manager too..
yes,on Win 7 64 bits
*pulling hair*
I didn't have my usb cable yesterday to check it out but adb actually works with the Samsung drivers. Device Manager>Android Phone>SAMSUNG Android ADB Interface. And when I type the command "adb devices" it shows up. This works both if you plug the tablet in wihtout powering it up and when its turned on so I'm not sure what your problem is. I do have Kies installed on the laptop too so yours should be working if you installed the sdk and drivers correctly.
Which Tab do you have? I have the 6210 unlocked wifi only, it could be other models work differently. Not sure if you have a locked bootloader that you can access the tab through adb.
GT P6200 European
and here is what i get on cmd
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
C:\Users\Tavi>adb devices
* daemon not running. starting it now *
* daemon started successfully *
List of devices attached
C:\Users\Tavi>adb devices
List of devices attached
C:\Users\Tavi>
EDIT:SOLVED!
Thank you all for answers
How did you solve this?
I input in cmd adb fastboot reboot and suddenly the device got the command and then recognized my tab..(pretty strange i know)
make it done

Alright, here goes my first post. I have lingered in these forums for awhile, and have always found what I needed. This is the first time my searching on here, as well as google, has let me down.
To clarify, if I connect to my computer and have USB Mass Storage on, I can see it, move files to it and everything. My problem is, I am using my old phone (P500) to learn and practice ADB (I own a GNEX), and would like to install CWM via ADB, but I need to move files to the root of my sd.. but my phone won't show up if it's in debugging mode!
I have the drivers installed, and used a toolkit to root (worked fine, no errors). Am I missing something here or is there another issue?
Info:
Windows 7 64bit
Telus Mobility (Canada)
Model: LG-P500h
Android 2.3.3 (stock)
stock kernel

Since the device is not getting detected with USB Debugging enabled it's safe to assume a bad driver installation. To verify tho, enable USB Debugging on the device and connect it to your PC. Go to Device Manager. Somewhere towards the top, assuming the drivers were installed will be a device "ADB Interface" with a subitem "Android Platform Sooner Single ADB Interface" or something similiar. If the "ADB Interface" item isn't there then the drivers weren't installed correctly. Uninstall them. Reboot computer. Rerun driver installation program. When it finished, reboot your PC. Power off the device. Connect it to your PC. Power on the device and let all drivers install. You should be good to go from here.
If you'd like a good known set of LGE USB drivers, download Android Flash Recovery, link is in my signature. Hope this helps.
EDIT:
Oh, and Welcome to XDA
I have latest Android Studio installed and Android Debug Bridge version 1.0.41.
In Android Studio SDK Tools I have installed Google USB Driver v12.
My ONePlus One has Carbonfibers ROM, has developer options turned on and Android Debugging turned on.
When I plug in OnePlous One I get no mobile notifications and nothing in Win 10 Pro.
Device Manager / Portable or Other devices does not have the phone beneathn it.
When I run adb devices in cmd there are no devices attached.
I cannot find a OnePlus One adb usb driver.
Any suggestions how to diagnose this problem and get my OnePlus One recognised by adb?
Unable to connect to usb
I installed Carbon-cr-5.1-moo-release-bacon-20180202-1444.
I am unable to get usb connection working and having tried many different things...
-I have latest Android Studio installed and Android Debug Bridge version 1.0.41.
-In Android Studio SDK Tools I have installed Google USB Driver v12.
-I have developer options turned on and Android Debugging turned on.
-When I plug in OnePlous One I get no mobile notifications and nothing in Win 10 Pro.
- when I go into developer options and hit 'select usb configuration' my selection of mtp or whatever is always ignored and charging selectiomn remains
-Device Manager / Portable or Other devices does not have the phone beneathn it.
-When I run adb devices in cmd there are no devices attached.
-I cannot find a OnePlus One adb usb driver. I thought I found one but I have no way to verify and after installing it made no difference
I want to update to the latest rom in case this may be the cause, but after I download it to the phone and click flash
I just get the oneplus icon forever and the recover app twrp does not come up. It used to be there but then after I installed
the first rom after a couple of uses it disappeared for some reason or at least will not boot to it.
When I installed that first custom rom I folowed instructions for rooting and on completion it says to open up the installed
su app but when you open it it says there is a more up to date version but when you try to install that it fails.
Now all the apps that will not run if your app is rooted say it is rooted and all the apps that will not run unless it is rooted
say it is not rooted.
I think I need connection via usb in order to reinstall the twrp recovery app in order to install an up to date rom, hoping this may help
me solve the usb issue, but I cannot get the usb connection working as described above,
any hehlop would be appreciated.
Same Situation
