I've noticed that most game devs have started implementing the Gamestop wireless controller into their games such as GTA 3 and Dead Trigger, so I decided to buy one for my Galaxy Note N7000, but like a dumb ass and not doing my research I bought this http://www.gamestop.co.uk/PlayStation%203/Games/6234/gamestop-ps3-wireless-controller?previousUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gamestop.co.uk%2FSearchResult%2FQuickSearch%3Fq%3DGameStop%3A%20PS3%20Wireless%20Controller instead of the Bluetooth version, so my question is, is there any way to make this controller work with my Galaxy Note running ICS 4.0.4 stock?
Thanks for any help

My brother just got the galaxy s3 and thought what better present than the cast dongle for xmas?
but then he also bought himself the tf700 soo im wondering if the tf700 work with the allshare cast dongle?
do i need to root the tablet ?
thank you!
The short answer is no, it won't. Samsung allshare cast dongle is proprietary and it works with some of their newest models (like Galaxy S3). The miracast standard will fix this, but it is not ready for prime time yet.

I would like to know a few things about android peripherals:
I currently own a Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus and I'm about to buy a gaming controller for it.
First question:
What's the difference between 2.4 Ghz Wireless Connection and Bluetooth? I mean, can you use a 2.4 Ghz PS3 Controller on Android, or no?
2nd Question:
Is there any possible way of using a WiiMote Plus with this device? I know that Samsung changed the Bluetooth Stack Drivers, but I also saw a guy on YouTube connecting a WiiMote to Samsung Galaxy with no problem!

Nokia 5530 XpressMusic: Something went wrong on the motherboard!
Alcatel OT-903D: Retired
ZTE Blade: Retired
Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus: Current

Like I said in my above post, Samsung replaced the stock andoid Bluetooth drivers in Touchwiz with their drivers!
For this reason the WiiController app and other similar ones do not work on it.
Is there any game controllers other than MadCatz that work with the galaxy S7 ?
I have only tested with the PS4 Dualshock with no luck. I havnt tested with sixaxis app since it requires root.
Wondering since its REALY stupid to have to fiddle on your head with the pad on the Gear VR to even click on something. Why didnt they simply add a hover with timeout like it works on the kinect...
And were is the freaking Game Launcher app i cant find it on my phone..
Moga pro power. Also on occulus supported controller list

The allt
I asked this weeks ago and im in the same boat. I cant get my ps4 controller to work anymore. I tried an xbox one controller as well but that reboots my phone. the ps4 works with the note 5 and s5 i have? Is this a marshmallow issue?
EI-GP20
Well, the official Samsung (EI-GP20) one isn't very good, but at least works.
I purchased the moga power pro a. should get it mon. - tues. Ill report back. Has anyone received notice of approval for there VR so we can start testing games with it as well?
Moga hero power works on the s7 atleast in hid mode, you just need to pair it through Bluetooth on the phone then do it in the app. Also works on gear vr
Nyko playpad pro works, i did update the firmware on it. Paid like 13$ at Gamestop a year or 2 ago.
Had it laying around for my amazon fire.
Same problem here. used to play games with my Dualshock3 via USB on my S5 (never used Bluetooth as that resulted in unplayable input lag for me). neither my Dualshock3 nor a quick test with a Dualshock4 at a local shop worked. The entire signaling doesnt seem to work - no Key Events are being sent as it seems. Any cheap USB gamepad seems to work though.
If someone finds a solution, please report back!
Can you walk me thru the process

I am a newbie at controllers and Gear VR. I purchased a new galaxy s7. I read the Hero pro was a good controller to use. I have not been successful at pairing or being able to use with VR. Would you mind walking me through step by step how to do this?
Thanks!
Has anyone had luck with the dualshock 4 controller connected by a USB otg cable? I have been trying to make it work but I can't get it to be recognized.

For Gear VR, I use my old Ouya controller. Most things just work, but I'm considering Tincore Keymapper.

I am using the Xbox 1 wireless (white) Controller with my Samsung s7 edge (no root) and gear VR 2016.
This controller is supported by oculus and is fully working with Minecraft VR. Microsoft intends to support all gear VR software starting with Minecraft VR .......hope this helps!!!

Samsung disabled the use of PlayStation controllers, even through USB connection.
I use the Snakebyte Gamepad, can only recommend it.
