[q] please help...!!! Firmware error

i wasnt thinking and starting to flash kj6 and kc1 on my wife phone...and she already had kj6...i was using odin...and it just stopped and didnt finish...so i took it out now on her phone it says...firmware upgrade encountered an issue...please select recovery mode in and try again......what do i do...it doesnt have cwm...so how do i get in recovery....and fix this...??????????please help...she soooooo mad at me...thanks in advance...
edit...at first it wasnt reconizing my phone...now i got it to...but it says samsung usb- composite device... but when i plug in to keis...it wont reconize it...and in odin...is just stuck on "set-up connection...what can i do...?

Power it down. Hold the Volume Up, Volume Down, and Power keys down. Don't let them go. When the phone shows the Galaxy S screen, then you see that screen get a little bit brighter, only let go of the Power key. Hold Volume Up & Volume Down until you see the recovery screen.
I think all you really need to do is get it back into download mode and either reflash KJ6 with ODIN or use one of the one-click ROMs by bhundven.

Does it recognize your phone now? If so, what is on the screen of the phone?

No, the phone!triangle is another screen for "download mode".
You are in download mode.
You must have the cable connected to the pc and phone, then start your phone to this mode. Don't plug in the cable after the phone is already in this mode, or it won't detect it (sometimes...).
Follow Bassmanjames's guide that uses my heimdall one-click. Promise

no...its a different triangle...im NOT in download mode...nor can i get it in download mode...its a tiny triangle with an !! in the middle with a pic of a phone on one side and a pic of a computer on the other...i know all about download mode and recovery which it wont go into...IM SCREWED...AINT I...??? if your phone was "hard bricked" you wouldn't see anything on the screen. Your phone would act dead.
Your phone is soft-bricked. I know what you are seeing on your screen.
Trust me. Open the back of your phone. Pull the battery. Count to 10. Plug the battery back in. Put the battery cover back on. Plug the usb cable into your computer. Hold vol+ and vol- and plug the usb cable into your phone. Keep holding vol+ and vol- till you either see the triangle or dl mode. Either way, Heimdall should detect it as being connected. If not, you need to make sure the odin drivers are truely uninstalled and the heimdall driver is installed correctly. I don't use windows, so you'll need to find help elsewhere on that.

o.k...so...i dont know what just happened...but i was doing baseman heimdall way and while i was waiting for the oneclick jar file to download i was looking at the heimdall program and i clicked on the utilities tab and clicked on "detect device" and it found my device so i was happy. so for some reason i decided to click on the next option to the right which is " close PC screen"...i clicked on close and then all of a sudden my phone just rebooted itself and now its seems totally fine, lmfao! does anyone know what happened? is it because i thought it froze and pulled it out while it was still downloading in odin? and why did clicking "close pc screen" make my phone reboot? im gonna unplug and check out my phone to make sure everything is good with it. Ill get back to you guys soon. Thanks for all the quick responses to my problem, I was super skitzed about it! I really appreciate you guys thanks for your time... ;-)

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S2 gt-i9100 Rom

Please This is my first post and I am so nervious because I took my girlfriend Samsung galaxy s2 and told her that I was going to upgrade her phone to 4.0.3 and I root the phone, then I installed the rom and when is finished it says complete (on the recovery mode) After that I select Reebot and the phone stays on the screen that says Samsung Galaxy SII GT-i19100 with a yellow triangle. Please I need your help because it does not want to boot. What can I do because I already try to put it on recovery mode and the screen flash one time but then the screen appear again. Someone please HELPPPPPPPPPP

how long does it stay on the yellow triangle?

Since two hours Ago and I tried to recovery and the screen flash but then It appear again the yellow triangle with the name of the phone. The only thing that it response is when I click the home button,lock and the volume- at the same time and there it says something about the OS that is for change the OS or something like that :S

with the phone off, press and hold the power button,volume up and down at the same time once the phone turns on release the power button but still hold the volume up and down for about 2 sec. then if you did it right you will be in CWM and then scroll down with the volume buttons and select with the button in the middle or the power button and do a factory wipe/reset,also clear the cache,and also go into advance and clear the dalvid cache. then reboot it and let it reboot for at least 5 min,it will be on the yellow triangle for at least 3min dont worry. and report back to me You can also PM me for a faster response.

How did you root the phone? Did you wipe the phone before installing? Which rom?

Thanks because I know you want to help but I thing that these does not have resolve . When I installed a the ROM I didnt clear the data or something I just put the phone on recovery mode and then find the ROM and installed it. My phone do not want to put on recovery mode :S. Is there another way to put your phone on recovery mode because I cant and also it does not boot.

look 1st of all tell the name of the rom that u flashed, and whether it is rooted or not,
if it is official rom without rooting, yellow triangle should not be there, and if you have rooted the phone or if there is any custom ROM, then either you can go for triangle remover, look into the gt-i9100 forum, how to remove triangle, you will find it or either you can go for USB JIG, that u have to purchase, if u r from INDIA and i don't know whether it is allowed or not in this forum, u can share ur no if need to come out on urgent basis.

1st step

3rd step
now open odin if u see COM something which is hilighted in green colour or other colour your good to go
4th step
now click pda in odin and browse the recovery-cwm-touch-6.0.1.2-i9300.tar the one u have downloaded dont click anything else just press start
5th step
your phone will be restarted now you have CWM touch in your phone
now put the SuperSU-v0.94.zip in your mobile memory not in memory card e.g put it in download folder now power off ur phone.
6th Step
Now Hold voulme up+ home button+ power button for 15 secs until u see the recovery click on screen install zip from sd card then click choose zip from sd card then find the folder where u put CWM file click e.g download click SuperSU-v0.94.zip and click yes and install it
now u have ROOT reply me if some problem happen

I'm relatively new to rooting and I dont know what to do but the steps and videos that I found on google seems simple enough. I just want to know if this will work on any S3 JB 4.1.1 regardless of the firmware version. My "baseband version" is I9300UBDLI2. I have seen the links that I found on google specifying the root will work on a specific version of 4.1.1 (i.e. 4.1.1 XXDLIH Official Firmware). I just want to make sure so that I wont damage my phone in any way.

hi kicker this is a complete safe way to root your phone i also have galaxy S3 4.1.1 on three uk network.....this rooting works on every baseband but the phone must have jellybean and works only on galaxy S3 Gt-19300 try this method it is totally safe and i am 100% sure this will not damage your phone

Hi thank you for that. The problem I have at the mo is that Odin doesn't see my phone when I connect it. I have tried the 3.04 , 1.85 version and have debug clicked in development, tried a different usb port, keys air not no etc but nothing happens.
Phone connects to the pc normally fine.

i have got it so oden sees the phone now, I have installed the cwm .tar file and it passed.
but when i hold v up, home, power, i can not get onto the cwm section, it changes screens between a samsung and a green droid. there is a blue screen with options comes up, but not like the normal cwm screen, and no options to install like you said above?

the blue options screen that comes up when trying to get inti cwm is called, android system recovery

Hey man, cheers for the info... I normally don't have any problems rooting and was rooted before updating to jelly bean, but every time I try it now (have done it a few times) my phone will turn on for maybe 30 - 2 mins and then reboot... so basically unusable.
I don't quite get what's going on, any help would be great

Tipo single phone briked

I think I've bricked my Xperia Tipo Single Phone...
I wanted to flash it to CM10. (fxp)
What I did:
- Unlocked with "unlockroot" (and verified with root verify app)
- Installed CWM
- Then I restarted my Phone and went to CWM.
- Then I whiped cache & reset...
- Then I installed the fxp (cm10) zip file
- Then I installed the gapps zip file (I think maybe this maked my Phone bricked ?)
- Then I did restart of my Phone through the CWM menu.
And then... nothing... black screen (NO logo or anything).
When I put the power button, I feel one vibrate (if I hold it, it continues vibrating with a pause).
I search on the internet and I tried to hold the power button and volume up (I get vibrate and blue led),
with power button and volume down I get vibrate and red led. Led is only one time.
Removing battery didn't work.
Also, I've got another Tipo Phone and drained the battery and placed it in my bricked Tipo and hoped that it reset.
But no luck so far.
I tried to connect through USB to my pc, but no luck. Nothing pops up at my pc... no connection.
I installed flashtool, but same problem... it does not see the Phone...
What now ?

Also, I already tried with androxyde flashtool, but I cannot find the Phone ! (USB connection does not work!)
edit: I left my Phone into the wall charger, and now a couple of hours later, when I unplug and press the power button, I does not vibrate anymore and I get 3 times a red led. If I plug it in again, it does the same as before (one vibrate when I press the power button)

Have you tried repair via pc companion??

How can I repair via pc companion if I can't connect the Phone to my pc through USB... (see begin post)

Well, if your USB-connection is dead, I don't think that there are many options left... Perhaps you could sent it to Sony, but they will charge you. And it will be alot.
So yeah, just try some different options, perhaps try another USB-cable? Another USB-port? I don't know, I assumed that you've tried everything already, so I'm out of options here! But there may be other persons who know more about this than I do!

Dude..when pc companion is in idle mode...ie not active, it doesn't search for any device.. But when repairing, the particular firmware is downloaded and pc companion checks every usb port for any flashmode device.. If it is possible, it pushes the firmware in...that's why I asked you to try it..

Ok, I've just tried it. No luck, pc companion keeps asking to connect through usb :crying:

For 2 days the phone is at the wall charger... no luck no red led
I was so enthousiastic to install fxp, but it's a nightmare

you said you get vibration and blue or red led on pressing power button right?
do one thing. download cm10 latest version. charge your battery to full somehow (universal chareger etc), then follow the instructions on "how to install cm10".
this should work

Have you installed OMAP drivers properly?
Open Device Manager on your PC and search for OMAP4430 (it connects and disconnects continuously) so, quickly double click on it and chose update driver. Select browse my computer for driver software > then go to usb_drv_windows folder in OS_HACKING tool then press Next. Wait till the driver installs.
After that, run the AIO Tool and follow onscreen instructions. You should now be able to enter Fastboot mode and flash your phone.

I've flashed, unbrick, made my Lg p920 dualboot several times before but now I have problem and need u advice.
Yesterday, when I was playing a game it suddenly turn off, and turn on to the lg logo and go off. At the first time I just think its the error came from the game so I tried to press power button to turn it on but no success.
After awhile I plug power cable in and the phone turned on and boot smoothly in to the ICS, but this time I realize that power button is not function anymore.

Power button dont work.
If I want to turn it on I must plug the power cable in and It boot completely to the ICS(when I put in battery the phone is wake up and boot to lg logo and go off).
I tried to install Omap driver several time but no success, There isnt Lg United Mobile port in device manager to change the port to com41.
I cant boot in to flashmode to flash but can go to TWRP (via a software in android - restart to TWRP option)
My power button physically situation is good (I mode build.pro to wake my phone up by camera button 2 years ago and it work well up to now with no problem) Therefore, I think the problems should be errors in bootloader or kernel , xloader so I think if I could flash them via TWRP may be solve.

I've flashed, unbrick, made my Lg p920 dualboot several times before but now I have problem and need u advice.
Yesterday, when I was playing a game it suddenly turn off, and turn on to the lg logo and go off. At the first time I just think its the error came from the game so I tried to press power button to turn it on but no success.
After awhile I plug power cable in and the phone turned on and boot smoothly in to the ICS, but this time I realize that power button is not function anymore.

XDA member Zogu made a thread quite a while ago. Here it is:

There you will find Wkpark's bootloader as a flashable zip that you can flash in TWRP. You said that you are an experienced user so I take it that you can also find and flash a kernel compatible with your ROM.
To be honest, from your description, I don't think any of the above will help you (but you can try, if you want). I believe that your power button is stuck to "pressed" state. If you could spray it with some contacts cleaner while repeatedly pressing and releasing it, you might get it to work again.

won't get into fastboot
hay i have GB and i want to install wkparks bootloader , but the problem i couldn't get into fastboot i had fallowed the guide but at the end it dosn't show silver LG but the touch buttons is on and when trying to flash the bootloader just show waiting for device after selecting "flash bootloaders" , i'm on win7 64bit and using v1.3 .

Hi guys
Does anyone know what is the best course of action to revive an lg p920 running stock ICS and died after twrp 2.3.3.0 was flashed via twrp manager from the market.
The screen went black and phone completely dead now.
I just ordered a factory cable on eBay and wondering whether to flash kdz or is there another fix that I can flash to revive it?

Even with factory cable, windows 10 PC was my problem.
I flashed kdz on a different PC running windows 7 and all is working fine.
