you can use any file manager on your phone and navigate to system/framework and find the framework-res.apk and simply copy it to your sd card. if you upload your framework i can make the changes for you.

HOW TO INSTALL:
I CBF MAKING UPDATE.ZIP NOW.
However, I'll do it when I get time
Now to instructions,
Option 1
Use ADB
adb push Home.apk /system/app/home.apk
Option 2
Use Root Explorer or similar.
put into SD card or w.e. and copy to /system/app/
LONG HOLD home.apk and select Permissions
Set Permissions to rw-r--r--
Option 3
Flash using xrecovery [SOON]

I replaced HOME.apk with yours on WolfBreak 2.3ROM, then reboot, it doesn't work for 2.3. Could you please modify the new HOME.apk of 2.3 with 5x4 or 5x5 icon in app drawer.

You'd have to clear data for it. Sorry, no other way.
Setting > Applications > All [at the top] > Home > Clear Data.

What you need:
Basic knowledge on decompiling and recompiling
Yourself
Steps:
1.) Download the 2 attachments below
2.) Decompile your framework.jar
3.) Go to smali/com/android/internal/app
4.) extract smali.zip from attachment then copy the 2 smalis then paste it on smali/com/android/internal/app on your framework.jar
5.) recompile
6.) install the CustomPlatlogo.apk
7.) Flash your recompiled framework.jar
8.) Jump High
NOTE: you can merge the customplatlogo.apk to your settings.apk, find the guide on how to put an extra activity on settings. (Im too lazy you know xD)
PS: tested on gingerbread version, not sure if will work on other android versions.
Update: CustomPlatlogo.apk reuploaded, no more black screen.

maybe it is not compatible on other android versions? it works fine to me. try to merge it on your settings, decompile it, get the smalis, and also the resources. Compare the ids then recompile. There's a guide out there on how to add activity in settings.

SystemUI LTE Icon Location

Hello guys, just a quick question.
Do you know if the LTE icon in our SystemUI is located as a PNG or is it generated 'at-the-moment'?
Because I've been looking for the .... icon in this Customized CE1 SystemUI.apk and I can't find it. I just want to replace it by a 4G icon (or 4G LTE as VZW for example).

In the framework? That's weird, on KK 4.4.4, they were all located in SystemUI...

I checked but coz we don't have deodexed SystemUI i don't know for sure. I changed some png but nothing works, in LP they might be pulled from xml's and smali so no luck there (yet)

It's Amber Weather, and it have option to put weather in notification so it shows like regular notification.

Everything is possible, you only need to find the way. Unfortunately until we have deodexed SystemUI i can't say. You can try to add amdroid:visibility=invisible but it may not work if it's in smali.

M2 Dual Audio Profile Switching Problem!

so with the lollipop update its kinda hard to switch to silent profile by pressing volume down button repeatedly.. on kitkat it hard buttons on the power menu to switch with one tap.. anyhow it can get like that ?? it'll most useful mod for me.. please help!

Find: "config_globalActionsList"
Add on top of </string-array> at end of that list:
<item>silent</item>
Save, recompile and flash it.
Make backup just in case.

So today i gave it a try and nothing happened.. No silent options like that.. Nothing.. !! I'm on stock rom btw..

RE: i found out that the flashing failed and framework-res wasn't replaced at all.. so i used root explorer method and now everything force closes and system restarts after some time and bootloops and then 'optimising application' starts and finishes and the system again restarts.. this has been repeating on and on. on first restart i caught a glimpse of the edit and it did work but how do i fix the bootloops and force closes? it would be great if there is a fix for it.. thanks...
