Okay, folks. I need some help. I was not able to flash new Cyanogen ROM's so I tried updating my TF300T to the latest US firmware. Here are the results and where I stand now.
1. TWRP 2.5 is loaded in recovery.
2. Latest ASUS firmware is installed.
3. Lost root.
4. Tried to re-root and cannot. SuperSU fails every time I try to update the binary.
5. I wipe everything and can boot into recovery.
6. I tell TWRP to flash the latest ASUS firmware zip file.
7. Firmware flashes but then when I go to reboot in TWRP it says that no OS is available!!
8. I can swipe the lock and reboot into 4.2.1 but obviously no root.
9. I have tried flashing the signed superuser file and it flashes and says successful.
10. When I use root checker pro to see if I have root it tells me that I do not have root.
What in the hell is going on????????? Any help or outline of steps would be appreciated.

Bootloader info plz. Unless you were using the experimental CM10.1 build (or a select few others), it sounds like you tried to flash a ROM compatible only with an older bootloader onto the "latest" build (from your description).
Is there an alternative to goo manager to install the latest TWRP. I already have a CWM recovery installed.

Flash this from CWM
http://nexfiles.kjonigsen.net/tf101/twrp/twrp2.6-tf101-unofficial.beta.zip
Or use Easyflasher in APX mode
http://www.putlocker.com/file/42672030BC26BD2F
Here is an even newer version built yesterday from Omnirom 4.4 sources synced yesterday also. It is in flashable zip form:

Ok I updated TWRP to the latest version now I cant install any ROMs so I was trying to downgrade to v2.3.3.0 using adb fastboot (see link) and I installed 2.3.3.0 and nothing will work I cant do anything in it and so I tried 2.2.1 and same. The error message I get when installing a ROM is E/error executing updater binary in zip/directory/blah/blah/name of .img. I have tried CM11 and omni 4.4.4 kitkat and I followed the instruction to a T.

Thanks for the answer but I got it to work using a selinux TWRP v2.6.3.0
I installed TWRP. It was supposed to be TWRP 2.8.6.0, but it is 2.8.5.0. Today, I just backed up my tablet with it. After using TWRP, my tablet boots up 6 times faster and the UI functions twice as fast as it did before. Overall, my tablet got better after running TWRP. So, what did it do? Also, I want to flash Lollipop. Can I do that with this version?
I don't know what twrp did to your tablet. If you want to flash a lollipop or a marshmallow rom however you should use this version of twrp : http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...overy-team-win-recovery-project-twrp-t3464050
And use one of theses rom :
lollipop : http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-2/galaxy-tab-2-unified/rom-cyanogenmod-12-cm12-t2997934
Marshmallow (recommended) : http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-2/galaxy-tab-2-unified/rom-cyanogenmod-13-cm13-0-t3303798

twrp manage all general functions before the android system completely started. you can compare twrp with the bios system on your pc.
if you want install the latest roms, you should upgrade your twrp to the latest unofficial common version (3.0.2-6). you can find it here: http://andi34.github.io/recoveries_tab2.html

Awesome.
It's official, my device will be upgraded. May the force be with us all!
Trying to download the latest odin version of TWRP for the Sprint N4 trltespr
upon using the search bar above I've found 2 different TWRP versions.. but can't determine the difference on these.
Is Odin TWRP only referred to as openrecovery or are they both the same. These were the latest options I found. But are they the latest and which one would I need to use for Sprint N4
