So today I have installed on my samsung galaxy s3 the C-ROM 4.4.4... But unfortunately I came across a really minor problem, which I am personally very annoyed with and I cant figure it out by myself.. (I've checked all settings).
So im asking for some help or advice of someone who is using this ROM too and has more experience with it than I have, the problem is, how do I "delete" the "google widget" (persistant search bar) on the main screen? ofcorse when i try to hold and move it it doesnt go and it moves with the screen like its shown in the pictures below:
Thanks
Hi!
Here is the Q&A section for the S3. Best to ask there about anything to do with the S3.
>*Samsung Galaxy S III I9300, I9305*>*Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
The best thing to do would be post in the ROM thread....but you will need to get to 10 constructive posts before you can.

BTW, if that's the GEL launcher or Touchwiz launcher....that search widget cannot be moved or deleted. Install a launcher from the play store and you can set it up how you like. ?

all i did was take down the battery, i was rooted though. This doesnt make much sense
Hi there!!!
Going to need a lot more detail to assist.
Like phone exact model. Android version. Stock? Rooted? What exactly happened and what it does exactly now?
Please provide as many details as possible. ?

Actually, I see you've started a thread already on this?
XDA Assist is to help point the way for people, show them where to find help. This is not a place for tech support.
I checked your post history, you bricked a galaxy tab 2, 7"? Or a phone as stated in this thread?
Here is your other thread.....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2784272
Tho you posted your thread in the general area of the forum. May I suggest you post your issue in the section for your particular device?
Found here...
> Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 > Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!
I own this device, can someone point me in the direction, and where I must go to add CyanogenMod
Hi there!
If that's the Galaxy Tab 4 you are referring to, here is the place to ask questions about that device...
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4Galaxy Tab 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!

Keep in mind that is a very new device. Development will often take some time on new devices.
Also, always list your model number when asking anything... There are many different models for the tab 4.
And only flash files made for your model.
As well, I'm not sure if it works on your model, but other tab 4's have rooted with towel root..... See this thread,
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4Galaxy Tab 4 General[ROOT] [Towelroot] Tab 4 - 8.0 and 10.0
You can ask questions about towelroot in that thread also.
SORRY! But I'm Disabled & only understand about 1/100th of what has been posted regarding this DUMB GD PHONE!
I don't own a computer & I have very little patience with Computer Syntax & general Computer Mum-Bo-Gum-Bo BS;!
I tried Towelroot v3 & it says it's not supported. I used Root Checker Basic & it says it's not properly rooted. I tried using Titanium Backup & it says could not acquire root privileges. Please verify that your ROM is rooted, and try again
Says attempt was made using the "/system/xbin/su" command. ??? Whatever the F#%K does that mean???
My overall goal is 2 jailbreak this phone & get rid of 100s of useless apps & irritating pop-ups every 2 minutes. I'd like
the overall FREEDOM of being able to do what I want to do without being extorted by AT&T or any other monopolistic corporate Giant!!!
I probably should have posted this under the "Dumb Questions" Section!
HELP, HELP, & HELP! Can Someone PLEASE ADVISE!!!
Hi,
Here would be a good place to ask for help with that device...
> Samsung Galaxy S 4 i9500, i9505, i9505G, i9506 > Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [HELP THREAD] Galaxy S4 | Ask any question | Noob friendly
I should advise you, this stuff does take a lot of work at times, lots of reading and learning, more reading, Troubleshooting issues... And... More reading. ?
You may want to reconsider if this sounds unappealing. Without all the reading, things can go wrong quickly, trying to do things without some knowledge up front.
Good luck, hope you get it worked out!

Oh, and some things just aren't going to be possible without access to a computer unfortunately.
Thank you. Thread closed.
I've spent literally days now looking for how to root my Galaxy Tab 3 7" SM-T210 and I'm utterly confused. I've found literally over ten different tutorials that all do different things. I want to make sure I'm not going to mess anything up so could someone here tell me the best way to go about it? And possibly what custom firmware to install afterward?
Hi,
I have the same tablet and this worked for me,
> Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 > Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 Android Development > [Recovery] & [Root]【T210R & T210】 TWRP 2.8.0.0 [Unofficial] Updated
If you need help, you can post there, but until you have 10 constructive posts, it will automatically open a thread in Q&A section.
Good luck!

Hello, today I rooted my verizon lg g3. After the fact I decided to install a custom rom. This rom was the most popular and best reviewed one I could find(aka sphinx g3). I installed twrp recovery aswell as made a backup rom. I continued the process and installed the rom. after the fact fact it told me to reboot. I did, and now it is stuck on a black screen while blinking red and blue notification lights. I went to recovery and somehow my backup rom was deleted. Help please, Im having a mini freak out at the moment
Hi,
That is strange your backup disappeared. The best thing you can do is ask in the rom thread for help, or post here in your devices Q&A section...
> Verizon LG G3 > Verizon G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!
---------- Post added at 08:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:57 PM ----------
Also, are you sure your model number is supported? It's not a rom in the Verizon section. It may not be compatible with your model.
Ask for help where I pointed you. You may need to flash stock again. Hopefully that fixes you up.
Thank you. Thread closed.
