NTFS Support? - LG Optimus 3D

Hello. I would like to ask if any of you knows if NTFS support would be able for our device. I did a little bit research but if I understood it right only devices that support OTG would make it work. thanks in advance

[Q] Google TV: Largefile support on USB devices?

First, let me apologize if this is the wrong forum. If it is, please let me know where would be more appropriate.
I have been doing some testing for largefile support on USB devices attached to GoogleTV.
I am keeping the results in the Android FAQ I am maintaining at Android-DLS. (Google for Android FAQ and go to question 3.8, if you are interested)
So far I have tested ext4 and exFAT, with no luck. Has anyone had any luck mounting filesystems other than FAT32?
Thanks,
Brian

USB Controller Support? (6039y)

I've tried an Xbox One controller via an OTG cable but it isn't recognized by the phone. Is it possible to implement USB controller support via custom firmware or is it something we have to ask Alcatel to provide?

The version of the xpad driver shipped with this version of the linux 3.10 kernel doesn't support xbox one controllers.
https://github.com/TeamRegular/android_kernel_alcatel_msm8916/blob/dts/drivers/input/joystick/xpad.c
The driver is about 2 years old. If someone has a custom stock kernel available you could ask them to pick the changes here I just made for latest xpad driver from upstream
https://github.com/TeamRegular/android_kernel_alcatel_msm8916-stock/commits/cm-13.0-xpad
Thanks for the reply, there doesn't seem to be any custom kernels available for the 6039y so far (atleast here on XDA), maybe that'll change in the future but I'll have to wait it out and ask nicely when one arrives.
disregard this post, information gained after a bit of lurking on Github.

Does lsusb via terminal emulator show the device's pid/vid? If so or if you know the pid/vid please post them.

My interest in making the gamepad to work in the Idol 3 5.5 comes from this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.killig.gamepadime&hl=es, as the developer states that if the kernel has USB host mode and joydev.ko support it works.
I have found some modules here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=987482 in XDA.
Please, let me know if you need some more information. I appreciate your work and effort.

What is the smallest android that supports 4g and OTG at the same time ?

I am working on a project that requires i use an Android phone as small as possible. To just give you an idea about the scale of phones i am looking for : the first phone i thought about using is the Unihertz jelly pro but sadly it doesn't support OTG. (the android version doesn't matter to much to me)
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks for your help.
I'm assuming you've probably found by now that the new Unihertz Atom supports OTG - if not that's available now and having one myself I can say I really like this phone. I've also modded TWRP to work on it and after I made some changes in the modded TWRP it now even supports OTG while booted into TWRP. Details here:

We would need one of the amazing experts here to port the Kali kernel for our device.
I would also love to have this back with this phone.
Would be awesome if someone ported it :good:

My only trouble is making my external Alfa wifi card work on it. My questions are is there wifi drivers involve to my specific card add for it function.
I have no knowledge of doing this it. It will be fun and full of errors.

Some devices have the hardware required for OTG but do not have the software support, these devices can add the software and then enable OTG functionality.
But...
Some devices do not have the hardware that is required, these devices can not enable OTG functionality even if you install the software.
So, first, you need to verify whether or not your device has the hardware to support OTG.
