[Q] Boost mobile has android 4.4.3 apparently? - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I emailed boost and then they said 4.4.3 is out. Can anyone confirm this? I even asked when they are going to release 4.4.4.

I have an OTA waiting for install that I've been pushing off. I'm using it for Perk TV, but don't want to upgrade if Perk is working fine. Unless I decide to root and go with a ROM, I don't see any benefit to the OTA.
If someone can tell me how to determine what version the OTA is for, I'll do that when I get home tonight.

Stettin, the OTA notification doesn't mention the version? Really?!?

The simplest way is to unlock the bootloader and pull the file from /cache with CWM. Or you can also temproot and pull it, as it works up to 4.4.3.
I also have a XT1031 for the same reasons, and you can unlock/root it if you want to do that.

I'll can't say for sure. I forgot to check it, sorry. If you want the update, why not do a manual check for updates?

The last part isn't correct. The phone continue to have issues with Sleep of Death and random reboots. Camera Software sucks now. This is hald baked update...i am switching to another phone and never coming back to LG product!
Do I have to recovery stock? or can I just restore my stock ROM and leave CW? Anyone can help me out here?
wow
They think we're stupid. Maybe we are for thinking the LG update was just a leak and that development was still in the works...

Restore to stock, data factory reset and you should get the OTA again and update.

[Q] [OTA][KK]Rooted and new 4.4.2 OTA update

After I received the first 4.4.2 OTA update I rooted my Moto G and installed TWRP as recovery.
I just received a newer 4.4.2 OTA update. Can I accept this? I am afraid my TWRP & root will fail
Current version 174.44.9

If you have twrp it won't work if you try and update , also if you flash stock recovery and update it will remove root, but you will need to have an unmodified system for update to apply, which means a full unroot is needed before update can work
Flash stock recovery, unroot, then ota.
As you already received the correct answer I can't help you more, but could you upload the ota please?
Sent from my phone
Yes, instead of going back to stock, try to catch the update file, do a backup of it and share it with the community.
Thanks.
New update! No one knows what this has. What if it fixes the camera noise reduction?
I read some German forum, translated of course.
I read one of the posts. Apparently his battery went from 1%, to 50%, to 100%.
You know when we first updated to kitkat and our battery dropped like 20-30%, and if you reverted to 4.3 it's back up 20-30%? I think that fixes that calibration problem.
Take it with a grain of salt.

[Q] [HELP] Error when checking for OTA update!

Whenever I go to Settings > About Phone > Sytem Updates , instead of checking for OTAs, it just throws up this error message.

Now, I know its not because of a custom kernel, because some guy just received the 4.4.3 OTA on the same kernel.
I have tried rebooting, only to realize that nothing happened
Anyone else facing this issue or knowing how to fix it?
I sometimes receive the same error on a locked bootloader. I think its just server overload issue or something like that from Moto's side.

Alright, its working fine now.
I believe it was something to do with my Motorola ID not being recognized.
I simply set it up again

I get the same thing
The app is not updated for lollipop. It has not been update for about a year April 2014.

Try Better Battery Stats, it's in the Play Store and there's a free XDA version.

Someone else was able to get this working on his S6, but he is not rooted and he followed these instructions: https://docs.google.com/presentatio...F7z06_ysl1kUKME4/edit#slide=id.g259567f19_051
I am rooted and it is not working for me but I can't be bothered to do all of that.

Yeah, I've since stopped worrying about it.
I wish BBS was easier to read the wakelocks. I liked WLD because it was easier to understand which programs were causing problem. I can see processes in BBS, but don't know what they are attached to
