Hi guys. I installed cm11 nightly on my device and a custom kernel (furnace 1.01)
When the phone is turned off and charging, i can no longer see the battery charge animation on the screen when i short press the power button. Screen goes on shortly but it is blank.
Any fix to this?

It's meant to disappear. You can short-press the power button to make it appear again for a few seconds.

Thx for the reply!
It's seems kinda weird because i see no indication that the phone is charging while is switch off..
The led is not lighting up.. The is no "battery charging" animation... Just the android logo once i short press the power button.

This one.
It does not start to animate into the CM logo. Just stays there for a few seconds and then screen shuts down..
The phone itself is charging.. I can feel the heat from the back. But no other indication..
Thx for the reply!

No. Is it supposed to boot up if i connect it to a power source once it is shut down?
It boots up though if I continuously press the power button.
Basically to sum it up, i was expecting to see something like this when the the phone is charging while switch off. But i only see the boot screen and it does not boot up bu it self.

No it shouldn't boot up just from being connected to a power source. But it shouldn't even show the splash screen either. It's very strange. Is the phone the international or Chinese model? And what do you get when you issue this fastboot command?
Code:
fastboot oem device-info

Its the chinese version which i flashed CM11S on top of it.
I dont have access to my pc right now.. I ll run the command and let you know.
I made an inquiry in Franco's thread asking if any other users are experiencing the same issue. Let's see what happens.

I don't think it has anything to do with Franco. But it probably has a great deal to do with the fact that it's the Chinese version. I'd start looking into that. But definitely post the results of the fastboot command when you get a chance.

Hey finally found some time to check my bootloader.
Here's the output.
(bootloader) Device tampered: true
(bootloader) Device unlocked: true
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: false
OKAY [ 0.016s]
finished. total time: 0.019s
I wonder what the 1st and 3rd lines are about..

The first line refers to a tamper flag that is tripped when you unlock the bootloader. The third line refers to the charging screen that we're talking about, the Chinese model doesn't have it by default so that basically answers your question.

Hey Guys,
so ive been messing around with this little phone and think i might have managed a hard brick. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
was attempting to relock the bootloader and flashing my local 4.4.2 rom and on the command prompt when i reached flash system.img parsechunk lines, they failed. as it said permission denied.
Tried to continue with no luck. Restarted my phone and now cant get into recovery and no boot, the only screen i see is the white warning bootloader locked screen, get a vibrate and then it turns off again. Any ways to flash without Recovery or Fastboot or am i completely out of luck?
Sorry im new to motorolas, had no problems messing around with my old SGS2
Thanks in advance everybody.

I've been in a few situations where I thought I had 'bricked' my phone. One way that worked (sometimes) was to long press the POWER button for a very long time(minutes), then release and (sometimes) it would reboot.
The usual way to the fastboot menu is - power off (which yours probably is), then hold vol. down and press power button for 5/10 seconds and release both.
Good luck!

The only screen i can get now is the bootloader unlocked screen or the white charging screen when plugged in. After that the screen will stay on but is completely black.

Hey Guys!
So I had Cyanagonmod on my Nexus 5 for quiete a while now. But yesterday my phone suddenly turned off. I've tried to boot it but all it does is showing me the Google-Logo and the "Unlocked"-Logo for a second and it reboots again and I see the same thing.
Important:
1. It only boots if it is connected via USB (Wallcharger, or connected to PC)
2. If I try to boot in the Bootloader through pressing the volume buttons + the power button it just reboots after a second and the google logo appears again
3. the computer doesn't recognize the phone even though it's connected
-> I already tried to fix the problem with the Nexus 5 Toolkit but as I said the PC doesn't even know that it's connected.
PLEASE HELP ME!
I thank you for your answers and your support!:good:
Sounds to me like your power button is stuck. If you have a case, take it off. Then try mashing the power button a number of times.

by press power button + volume down, how you are supposed to. theres no key combo to get into your recovery, you go into the bootloader then press recovery. if your power button is stuck, then the moment you enter the bootloader, it gets pressed down to boot up normally.

Except it doesn't matter to Google as long as it's a legitimate hardware fault. And stuck power buttons have been accepted many times before.
So I tried to update from 33R to 38R manually and I do believe I hard bricked the phone, if anyone can tell me or help that would be great.
My Phone
Unlocked
Rooted
TWRP Recovery
Adaway modified system files
CF Lumen modified system files
So I tried to update manually and with modified system files it would not allow me to install the stock 38R update so I tried the modified file found here on XDA that did not work so I read something about restoring to stock.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/xnph38r-ota-update-t2897933
So I fastbooted and uploaded all the images as described on the guide through the command prompt and rebooted. After the reboot it just shut off to a black screen and would not start again. Cannot fastboot nada, tried plugging in the usb cable and no charging light nada.
Any help would be appreciated.

There's a special mode that should show up, regardless of whether your device will boot or not. Hold the power button for ~60 seconds, and plug your phone into your computer. Nothing should show on your phone. Then check your Device Manager. There should be something relating to the terms I posted above. If that doesn't work, try holding the power button for 60 seconds while the phone is plugged into the computer.

Hello there. This is the last chance to wake up my phone because I already made a big number of googling..
I have tried to change custom recovery, got error message that space (or memory) is not enough. Resterted the phone and it just turned off. Now I cannot boot it. Phone has no reaction to buttons pressed. I have tried to boot into hboot (volume down+power) but phone is dead, The only positive thing is that the phone recognizes the charging over the AC and USB.
Please could anyone suggest how I can boot the phone into hboot/bootloader/fastboot?..

Hi All,
I've looked through the forums and seen different solutions but really need some help.
I have a OPO which is now stuck in a bootloop. What happens is, the device is switched on and I can see the 1+ logo, it then goes to the loading screen and will stay on there until I switch it off manually.
I've tried accessing recovery, doesnt work. I've also tried accessing Fast Boot, doesnt work either.
I've tried to connect it to a windows 7 machine and under device manager, it appears as a MTP device only not allowing to uninstall any drivers or install any others (would have used the color method if this worked).
Is my phone completely dead or is there a way of recovering it?
Thanks all
Ah, lemme tell you something. Till you see the 1+ logo the fastboot mode is INTACT, when the 1+ logo is shown. Hold down vol-+pow for some time while the 1+ logo is shown. If it doesn't work then the volume rocker might be broken ...

Hi, Thanks for replying.
I've tried that but it just restarts the phone and thats either with volume up or volume down.
I've managed to dig out an old windows machine and when i've plugged the phone in there and pressed vol - + Power, it shows up as "one" with a yellow question mark and under "other devices"

Hi,
But from what i've been reading on fast boot command, doesn't the phone require to be in a fast boot mode? mine unfortunately cannot get to that stage.
Yes, I have heard that a specific logo.bin doesn't have any image for fastboot (I've heard it form someone) so if that's the case it wouldn't show you if it is in fastboot. Maybe worth a shot :/

Hi all,
Right so ive tried following a guide online but i cannot seem to get past the driver stage.
All i get is in device manager and "other devices", i just see the word "one" with a yellow exclamation mark.
Which drivers would i need to install? this only appears like this in windows XP whilst in windows 10 it appears as a MTP device.
Can anyone help me? Still stuck with this
