Is anyone else having issues with the gyroscope when playing any games?

lol, when i play gta3 the car will always steer left.
I presume mostly software incompatibility with ICS.
Yep same for me. Can't play Asphalt 6 with accelerometer. It always steers to the left. Gameloft gotta fix it for ICS or there goes my 10 cents on this game
I installed Accelerometer test app and it's working fine. So it gotta be ICS incompatibility on these games.

found this thread while searching google for this same bug. there are gyro bugs in some other apps under ics 4.0.3, such as atilt labyrinth and xclinometer. in those apps, if you tilt the device up/down the ball will move left/right. maybe if you tilt up/down you can steer in asphalt 6. i've already uninstalled it. the raging thunder racing games work correctly.
The gyroscope works fine with Modern combat 3 on ICS ota.

Nexus Gyro Problem
I have problem with gyro while plaing bia2. Same game on Samsung Note works just fine. It seems like gyro stays oriented for portrait mode, which is not supported by the game.
Does ICS run some games from this list?

NFS Hot Pursuit - sortof. Need to tirl forward to turn, so essentially unplayable.

what rom are you using?? it seems that gameloft bugs on ics. it FC
I haven't had problems with gameloft. Both asphalt 6 and 9mm work, as far as i have played. (i'm don't play much games on my nexus, maybe a couple of races on asphalt 6 and the first mission on 9mm)
What rom are you using? ICS or GB?

I try: Dead Space, Fifa 12, GTA 3 and VC, Max Payne, Order and Chaos, Shadowgun, Virtua Tennis all of them is lag-free. Also try Modern Combat 3, 4 and Wild blood and it lags.

Play store. Change ro.build.model and ro.build.device in build.prop to GT-I9100. Clear play store data and cache and now you can buy it.
I tried ME Infiltrator, NFS Most Wanted, Final Fantasy III, Dead Trigger, Contract Killer 2, Contract Killer Zombie 2 with no lag. GTA Vice City with a 2 second freeze screen when there's too many objects, and a little lag on MC4.

Modern Combat 3 is lag-free. tried once. just for an hour. But MC4 yes, that was little lag around the game. annoying stuff.
Wild Blood is lag-free in my phone ^^.

Have you tried MALI optimized games for SII? That versions run faster than Play Store ones.

i would be appreciate to be the tester.
I modified my fstab so that I could download NFS:MW. But it dies immediately after the splash screen. Do I need to do something else?
GTA3 also dies when I try to accept the EULA.

Have you tried with chainfire + plugins?
I even got dark knight to run pretty smooth with it

Max payne - 30+ fps on maxium resolution and details (0 lag)
Gta III - 25-35 fps on max - sometimes fps drop but it run good
Modern combat 2 - 30fps (vsync, min is same as highest)
Modern combat - didn't check fps but it lag hard
Vice city - maximum - min 5fps - avg 24 fps - max 32 better than iphone 4s :good:
- shadows off - res 70% - distance 30% - min 15fps - avg 28fps - max 32fps
Shadowgun - (didn't check fps) - look awesome and run VERY smooth
Minecraft - avg fps allways +40 on fancy
Bard's tale - run good zero lag
Fps checked with fps meter from google play
guys, anyone tried mcw4 and nfs mw on i9003 .??......plz let me know
also send the download link........and what rom & kernel suits the best....

I own these 2 games. They run better on min 1gb ram devices. Not advisable on the i9003. Sad to say, It's not about the ROM.. It's about the device.

Played NFS:MW and the game is good on our device (small lag, not annoying). But, the game is feel good on this days phone.

Wow... You really must have good eyesight. I'm using a 10 inch for NFS and a 7 inch for MC4... I used to play games on my i9003 2 years ago but now it's just for calls & whatsapp.

Thanks. Well, I put some test while playing the game and the results are quite good (very good for 2011 phone). The game sometime freeze when you play it. Test it with X-Gamerz V.2.2.
The test on CM 10.1 is a same like X-Gamerz, but have the game is bit slow and the Kernel 3 doesn't make any good to the game. I never played MC 4 on phone because the SL is not good for 3D FPS and my SD Card memory almost out (2GB left from 7,65GB)
BTW, I played Real Racing 3 yesterday, when I start playing the tutorial mission 2, the game loading and suddenly close it self (sort of FC but without any message) Does anybody experienced this weird bug? Gonna test this bug on CM 10.1.
I played MC4 on cm10 alpha 4 and stock ddlf2,. Theres a random lags worst on ddlf2 so laggy. for now i used my sl for call, text and video playback. On other hand on my ipod touch 4g (my current gaming device) which is only 800mhz, higher resolution and a half less ram(256mb) compared to our sl. I got 60-125mb of ram on ios 6. Can run MC4 and other heavy games such infinity blade 2 etc flawlessly with no lags.

I heard that Apple's apps written with the system native language. That's why there's no lag on iOS.

I m not able to run mc4 on 4.0+ roms.. But can run it on gb???
