Hi, I've got a Samsung Galaxy S i9000 with Slimkat 4.4.2 build.5 and over the last week or so, the facebook messenger app has been draining ridiculous amounts of energy, like in pic. I've been searching for the cause or fixes, but couldn't find anything so far. Would appreciate if someone could point me where to look.

Hi there,
My instinct tells me it's to do with location, the app is wanting to know your location using location services. This is always a massive battery drain.
I'd reccommend looking into those settings, you may have changed some recently which could have caused it!
Since there is no specific thread for the facebook messenger app, I'd suggest asking further questions in the general Q&A: Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Or your device specific Q&A section: Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Thanks! I'll check out if turning the location service does the trick and if not, I'' post there!

hello y fellows developers. I'm having problems with my Kyocera torque. been messing around with it and some how lost some very needed files. would like if anyone has one of these bad boys to please send me the apk for the files I don't have that are listed in the screen shots. I know I can possibly make the apk if I hunt around to find the instructions but this phone seems a bit touchy and I have had to take it back to sprint to get it unstuck from a repeated boot loop 7 times now. I'm afraid if I keep taking it back they will get suspicious of e rooting it. like it if anyone can upload these apk files I'm missing ty so very much I would very much

Hello!
I know many people have tried to get this issue solved but I haven't seen any solutions whatsoever. I took a screenshot of the wakelock draining my battery.

Now what I'm wondering is
1. Is AudioMix and that adprprpr whatever a necessity or can it be removed safely?
And 2. Is there any way of removing them or at least make them drain a little less battery? Since I changed to CM12.1 with Boeffla kernel, the problem has been decreased but it's not entirely fine yet.
I'm thankful for all the help. [emoji4]

Hi All,
This is what happening on my Samsung Galaxy S 2 GT-I9100 running on SlimKat 4.4.4
Screen looks distorted in some apps like Amazon.
I tried CM12.1 but the problem is same on both OS.
It happens with specific (very few but important) applications only.
Please help me now to solve.
I've already tried enabling "Force GPU rendering" and "Disable HW overlays" options but nothing helps.

Hi have unfortunately bought the Android phone Kyocera Hydro Wave. While the phone is meh in general, it has sp many bugs with the kernel and sometimes opens applications happening. I got the phone n 2015 and got another phone in the next 3 months because its that bad. Before I keep talking crap about my old phone ( because it really sucks!!!!!!) I was wondering if I could root it?
Problem is I did a little research and use certain applications and it said "root failed". Does anyone ever rooted the phone because please tell me how? Also if people have some suggestions that would help

Hello!
I need help.. My phone was running fine until my battery has run out. I charged it over night and when I woke up the LG logo was on the screen. I can't do anything (hard reset, ...) because it has non removable battery. Is there any way to hard reset it with PC software or anything else or should I just wait for my battery to get completely empty so I can hard reset it?
Thanks
