Hi,
So I'm running PA 4.5 Alpha 2.
When I select Fleksy as my keyboard, it does not seem to stick. If i let my phone idle for a couple of minutes, unlock it and I'm back to default Android keyboard.
I also have Minuum installed and it does not seem to behave the same way.
I've seen some old posts on 4.1.1 that was doing the same thing after reboot, but my case is different as I don't have to reboot for it to happen.
I've tried emailing Fleksy, they of course told me to revert back to stock.
Anyone has some suggestions?
Thanks.
Freeze the default stock keyboard and then it shouldn't be able to go back. I'm using SwiftKey and have no problems.

This appears to be an issues once you reboot the phone.
A temporary fix right now is to disable and then enable Swype again.
I'll post it on the swype forums and let them know

Yeah that was working for me, but doesn't work anymore after a second reboot. I am getting used to the smaller keyboard now. I like being able to see more of the screen.
I'm having the same problem with my Swype keyboard. After every reboot, it becomes extremely small and unusable. The only way I can get it back to normal is by reinstalling it. Anyone else have a better solution?

Disabling swype, switching back to one of the other keyboards and then switching back to Swype seems to work for me.
Rotating the screen has worked for me...

Btw, The Original HTC Keyboard has Swype Built into it.
Found that out the other day.
Thanks that works perfectly and is so simple

Yeah, except it seems to be missing some features like swyping punction to the space bar to insert question marks and exclamations and swyping up for capital letters. I've gotten so used to those that I go to do it and it doesn't work on the HTC keyboard.
Found this thread on the swype forums: http://forum.swype.com/showthread.p...-Error-This-screen-size-is-not-supported-quot
They need help reproducing the bug.
When you rotate it and go back it still is smaller then usual

I just decided to start a thread for questions for the Uniporn rom please use this instead of flooding the rom thread with questions, usually repeated hope this comes in handy. This is for Uniporn in its current stage and even up until it is, well you know, final

I do have a question since I cannot post in the development forums, yet.
Does anyone have issues with the wallpaper randomly reverting back to the stock ICS wallpaper?
I can't seem to keep my wallpaper on my home screen for very long.

What launcher are you using?

I was using the default launcher (not Nova). I flashed version 2 of AOKP and haven't had an issue with this, yet...

Has anyone figured out what causes the keyboard to stop working in messaging?
I can hit the first letter, and the keyboard will bring up predictions for what I press, but it won't enter any text into the field.
To fix it, I have to back out of the conversation and return to it to be able to type again.
It does it with all keyboards, too.
I can't exactly figure out what causes it to stop working. Before I thought it was locking the phone in the middle of typing, because it would sometimes be unresponsive after unlocking, but I've also had it be fine after unlocking, and I've also had it stop responding in the middle of me typing.
That's the only issue I've had with AKOP, apart from the wifi toggling thing, but that's a well-known bug.

How can I stop the ROM from automatically downloading my apps. I would rather use TiBu.

I use Swiftkey X, but it will do it with the stock keyboard as well. It doesn't seem to be a problem with the keyboards, since they'll load up predictions for whichever button I press, but it just won't actually type in the field.

Ooo I think I know what you men because I too have had these little annoyances before.... what I did when it started was kill EVERYTHING LOL yes literally kill all of the things... I even killed the keyboard/sms process since that's where it happened most at. After doing that my issue was usually fixed. Also found that I just type too fast sometimes.... it honestly can b a number of things actually, let me know how this works.

Does anyone know how to change system fonts for this ROM?
Before flashing this ROM i wanted to know how the battery life is on this?

My battery life hasn't been the greatest. about 8 hours with minimal use. Screen was barely on and little texting.

Sucks to hear, i'll hold off for now
I have been getting a little less battery life with ics...but nothing shocking. I get anywhere from 10 to 16 hours...but that is the same I have been getting with gb...even froyo. I do a lot of reading and listening to the radio...and I always have a charger near by for those occasions when the battery gulps instead of sips.
OK, maybe a dumb question. Coming from GB Roms, I am use to "My Files". On this ROM where do I find something that works the same, or what is the format?

So today I had to get a refurbished skyrocket since mine decided to start restarting constantly every two seconds. Got the new one, rooted it and such, and put Nexusmod 4.3 on. Installed my usual keyboards, swype for when I'm driving, swiftkey for when I'm at work, and GO Keyboard for when I use emojii on twitter. I use the built in task manager alot, and each time I clear processes and apps, it resets back to stock keyboard. Never had this issue before. Help?

I read around that if you use alternative keyboards on the lastest JB release, like the swiftkey 3, every time you switch off and on the phone you have to re-select it.
Can please anybody confirm? Both fastboot on and off.
Thanks!

No SwiftKey remains on when you turn your phone off and on again.
Nope, once you select SwiftKey as your keyboard, it stays. Make sure your setting is correct.

So yesterday I upgraded to JB. Installed swiftkey and tonight after switching the HOS on i discovered I had again the standard HTC keyboard, i'll see if tomorrow will do the same Btw thanks for the replies!
Hi,
I got this phone for over weeks now and noticed a consistent "issue". I have the circles widget on my homescreen and noticed that most of the times when I go back to the homescreen, the circles and other icons there does a "refresh" and gets reloaded on the screen. Is this normal behavior? It doesn't seem to matter what I'm doing. Sometimes I can just be texting someone back and forth and I hit the home button to do something and have to wait for it to refresh. Not a huge time killer but still bothersome.
This is a stock XT926 model updated to Jellybean 4.1.1. I don't remember if it was like this in ICS (updated almost immediately when I got the phone). Thought about downgrading to ICS to test this out but after much reading and attempts, I just gave up. I will stick with JB unrooted but want this homescreen refresh problem fixed :crying:
Thanks.
I had the same issue with mine. Switched to nova launcher which completely eliminated the refresh issue. I wish I had found a solution with the stock launcher, but never did.

Yea, pretty sure this happens on all of the HD's. Been off stock for so long I forgot about it. Its not an issue with your specific device, its an "issue" with all of them.

same here, even with apex launcher.
this fixed it (root required):
Code:
PPID=$(pidof com.anddoes.launcher)
echo "-17" > /proc/$PPID/oom_adj

It seemed to go away when I removed the Circles widget. But eventually ended going to Apex launcher without issues. I'm on 4.1.1 unrooted.
Just recently however, I wiped and restored and am still on the stock launcher with the circles widget and haven't had this issue return...

to say it in an easy way: this makes your launcher hard to kill / 'bulletproof'
enter code in f.e. terminal emulator after reboot, or write sript that is executed with every boot.
