Custom Lockscreen on custom ROMS - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,

CM11 lockscreen is not open source
Therefore it cannot be included in other roms

The lockscreen is not an app you simply install. May I suggest your read up on what open source and closed source is if you want too of course.
Maybe somebody will create a close look a like for you

[APP][SHARE] Samsung Official Energy Saver

Hi guys,
I was receveing many PMs about this app so i decided to make a thread so everyone can see and use this app. You can use this app on any gingerbread based roms ( like cm based and stock based ) and on any ICS or Jellybean based rom too.
This is the app that all of us lost when we install our first rom, and many people miss this app, so now you can use it on ur favorite rom, it's pretty light and i didnt face any lagg with it. This app only works as a battery saver and not as a task manager like some other similar apps.
Download the attachment and just install it as normal apk. Enjoy it

After i create this thread i saw many people creating threads for other devices with this apk ( some guys are from gfit forum and only take the apk and put it into some download servers), but i didnt see people giving me credits for this APK, i am really thinking in close this thread, who already "take" the apk from me not even pressed thanks. I am impressed with this guys.
P.S Before i open this thread i searched on XDA if someone already has posted it.

Why not? I was the first to find and to share with xda and people only just take it and duplicate it to post on the same place, only a different device thread. Come on bro, try to understand my point of view.....

Transparent App menu

Hi,
I've seen guides on how to code etc, but tt's not my thing....
Now what I'd want, and hope tt someone can help me with, is the following:
The menu which shows jour installed apks, widgets and favorites has a nasty black background (like the dropdown menu btw). Any easy solution for a no-programmer to have this transparent ?
Thanks for the help,
Cheers

If you're rooted, attach the homescreen.apk and I'll take care of the mod for you. I haven't personally done it since I'm not bothered by the black bg but I'm capable of doing it. All you'll have to do is switch the stock one with the modified one

i'm running carbon 4.2.2, not sure where to locate the framework.res...
Turns out i didn't need it.
Here's the Homescreen.apk
Push it to system/apps & fix permissions to match with your current homescreen.apk
Also you might want to make a back up first

Hi, thanks for the work, didn't test it out just yet - want to be sure up fornt:
* this should be ok with stock 4.1.2 (rooted)?
* I copy the original apk "just in case"
* I place the new one in system apps
* fix permissons: through Safestrap?
thanks

I don't think it would work on 4.1.2 since the file is for 4.2.2. Send me your Homescreen.apk and framework-res.apk and I'll give it a shot. I'm just waiting for feedback for the one I did

If it doesn't work, a pity, but no issue; I'm using Nova currently and tt'a already quite good (just the circle clock issue...)

Is there a way to customise your lockscreen without Widgetlocker or Go locker?

Sorry if this isn't the right thread,
I'm currently using the Xposed framework and I was wondering if there was a way I could simply edit/move the items on the lockscreen. I've looked for mods everywhere and no luck, and using Widgetlocker and Go Locker force you to use their launcher if you want "full security". All I want to do is change the icon really and make it smaller.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

Probably not, at least not yet. Its a developer preview anyways, not a release. In my opinion, Google shouldn't have released a preview anyways, and they never had to.
