I was trying to install a Google Play edition on my HTC One sprint where I had to change the MID and CID number I was ignorant to the fact that after flashing the RUU Google Play Edition ROM everthing of my phone would be deleted including the TWRP recovery and my backup roms! Now everything is deleted because of the ROM i flashed and I cant change my MID back to the sprint version which is its original number because I am stuck in fast boot. I installed TRWP and pushed a ROM into sdcard but it wont flash because of the Google Play Edition ROM which is not compatible with the Sprint Phone. I am stuck in Fastboot mode for days! How can i chnage MID in fast boot mode? How can I install back sprint cutom Rom in the system? Please help me I need help?
Hi!
You could try this thread on the subject....please read carefully, there's warning about bricking. Also, you can ask for further help in the thread as well....

Hello Everybody.*
I'm new here and I could use some help.*
A few weeks ago I bought a HTC one m7 32 G from a friend, when i tried to do a factory reset I wasn't able to cause the phone would freeze on the Twrp slide to unlock screen. I read and found out that it was the Twrp fault cause it was the version 2.5 00, so I downloaded Rom Manager and tried to update Twrp but to no avail. So I guessed I have to be rooted to do that. The phone has the bootloader unlocked and it says tampered, so i guess that it was rooted at some point. Also I found something called All in one root kit v4 amongst it's files, so i guess that's was what the person used to root the phone.*
I just received an ota update today and made the download but when I press install the phone reboots and it freezes on the Twrp 2.5 00 screen as usual. Currently I don't have a pc. The phone has Android 4.3. What can I do. Thanks in advance.*

Congratulations for your new phone ... it's a really powerful device IMO :good:
I think this is the right TWRP recovery for your device: HTC One > One Original Android Development > [RECOVERY] TWRP touch recovery v2.7.1.1
But check your exact device model before flashing anything.
I also advice you to read the HTC One > One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > Frequently Asked Questions thread. It's very helpful for new HTC One M7 users.
If you have further questions, please ask in your device specific help forum: HTC One > One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
There you will get quick and proper help :fingers-crossed:
(Feel free to move this thread to anywhere where it belongs, if it's an issue. And sorry for my non-native english).
Good night for everyone,
To make it short:
- I bought an LG G2 D802 from amazon.com (description says it's a factory unlocked phone).
- Tried to install a modified kitkat rom.
- The phone bricked into fastboot mode, but then I could repair the download mode and installed a Hong Kong (without noticing it and messed up the phone, because I'm form Venezuela and it went to a Locked state) stock firmware. But couldn't repair the recovery mode.
- When the phone booted it had an apparent screen calibration problem, where it doesn't respond accurately to touch, but going to the sensor->calibrate sensor option from settings menu didn't fix the problem at all. So I think it's something related to the Android system files (partitions maybe?) and not the settings or S/W at all.
- Installed an Open kitkat firmware hoping that it would fix the issue, but with no result. It correctly changed the S/W, but the screen problem persisted.
Some ideas that I have (but haven't found any propper methot to fix the phone) are:
1. If it applies: repairing the Android system files, to fix the touchscreen problem.
2. Rooting the phone and installing the best Recovery Mode to fix the phone.
3. Wiping the phone to blank.
4. Install a correct S/W from zero.
5. Hoping that it works
If it's possible doing it from a pc software or command line (connected to the phone obviously) I think it would be the easier solution, but don't know how to do it.
I would be really grateful with anyone who reads this and can help me fixing this...
Thanks.
Hi,
I believe your best move is returning to stock. Please read the following threads opening post carefully and only use files made for your exact model number.... You can ask for help here too,
> LG G2 > G2 General > LG G2 Stock Firmware (Go Back to Stock)
Good luck!

You can also ask for help in the thread I linked above. ?
Hope to find someone to help an aging struggling guy. I have a moto x on which the boot loader has been unlocked and TWRP is installed. Obviously the latest VErizon android OTA will not install and continues to annoy me with attempts. I have been able to gather that i need to either a) return to stock and install OTA or b) find a custom update ROM to flash from TWRP (hope i said that all correctly), unfortunately I do not know how to properly do either.
Can anyone provide directions or point me to a thread that deals with this situation?
Thanks
Charlie

Hello, and welcome to XDA! The easiest alternative is probably b). There are lots of roms here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/development and here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/orig-development. As for flashing, here is a guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Flashing_Guide_-_Android. If you need further help, there is a help forum for your device here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/moto-x-qa.
Good luck!
Hello,
I have been searching everywhere and I cannot find any links to download the stock Verizon HTC One M8 Windows phone Firmware.
My phone is not working right and I would like to reflash the firmware.
Can someone please help me out and link me a download to Stock firmware for the WINDOWS version? I would like the latest firmware possible.
Thanks!!
usually verizon embeds a recovery or emergency partition with some software of their own to reflash and recover not so sure if you mount your device as an external storage to be able and see those tools
I wrote an entire guide for flashing the HTC One M8, including links to files in the dev forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...guide-flashing-htc-one-m8-windows-to-t3203072
Hi everyone,
I need some help if you may please. I bought an HTC One M9 phone and for a while it's been telling me to update to the newest android version. However, this was impossible because even when I downloaded de update from TMobile, when restarting, TWRP would kick in and wouldn't let me go through the whole setup. So, I got to some tutorials and I found some guidance but it's all so confusing and I've gotten to a point where I have no idea what to do next.
Phone is from:
-TMobile
What I did:
-Got rid of TWRP
-Got it back to unroot
Phone status as of now:
It works fine, but it's still not updated.
When going into the HTC Download mode screen, i get the following info:
-UNLOCKED
-htc_himaul PVT S-ON
-OS-1.32.531.24
-Warning: Security checking failed NOT_FIND_SMARTIO
FILE /mnt/media_rw/ext_sd/0PJAIMG.zip
File NOT FOUND
ADB is not reading my device when in download mode, I was trying to install stock recovery by following a tutorian in android soul: how to install stock recovery on htc one m9 (sorry but the forum won't let me post the link.
What do I need to do? There are so many tutorials out ther with so many different instructions that I'm totally confused now as to what to install or not to install :crying:. I'd like to install the Developer version but if I have to deal with the Tmobile one, that's ok.
Thanks in advance!
