My phone has a random icon that appears in the notification bar for a fraction of a second. This happens somewhat frequently and looks like a terminal/command prompt icon. This had started occurring when I was rooted and running a modified Sense ROM. Never occurred with AOSP. I am now back to stock and unrooted but it still occurs. Any ideas?
Second, I was running CleanROM (NOT blaming the ROM in any way!!) And was having real issues charging the phone. The Micro USB cord had to be in just the right angle for the phone to accept the connection. This caused me to return to stock and unroot with the idea of having it replaced under warranty. No longer having the problem. How weird is that? Ideas?
I think the icon you're referring to is Amazon updating.

I'm running Th3ory's GING3R3DTH3ORY V6.2 on mine and my wife's thunderbolt, and haven't had this problem. One thing I've heard mentioned is to make sure you turn off fast boot and then do a reboot. Otherwise try re-flashing after a full wipe.
I had the issue once and just powered down... Pulled the battery and put back in and rebooted has not happened since...

After I received the MR2 update my Tbolt texts the wrong person about 1 out of every 12 times. Not like the old problem where it pics the wrong thread, like every HTC phone I have ever had. You clearly see you have the correct thread and when you hit send it looks like it flips a page on the screen and sends it to who ever the phone feels like. This is embarrassing and quite unacceptable. I am stock and I have tried deleting all the texts and I hard reset once and it still does it. What gives?
Lol. I know what u mean..it has happen to me a few times and has almost got me in a lil bit of trouble if you know what I mean..it is very annoying..I'm rooted so instead of using the HTC messaging app I deleted it and installed the vanilla android (aosp) messaging on my phone..runs better with less lag, doesn't put mms as a slideshow, and best of all no wrong text sent. I have yet to figure out a solution to the problem tho unless you wanna use handcent or a another app similar.
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
Like above, I'd recommend a replacement app. I personally use GO sms and I havn't had it send a wrong message unless I didn't see to the person whom I was typing to.(which happened once lol) Maybe that is the best method other than rooting
I had the same problem and I couldn't control who the messages would go to, I'm using handcent and haven't had a single issue since. I go back to stock and it happens again. I don't think it's just the Thunderbolt as I've seen threads on forums for other phones that have had the same issue.
This is a bug, it was fixed in GB.

I disagree. Perhaps the particular bug you linked in that message has been fixed with GB, but I have seen text message bugs using Sense 3.0.
The most common occurrence for me is to try to open a text thread, and it opens a thread from someone ~5 threads down. I have also opened a thread, sworn it was the correct person, and then upon closing the keyboard noticed I have a different thread open. This can cause some serious issues, and I can't believe it isn't talked about more.
I have had this happen using froyo and GB Sense Roms when using the stock app and GoSMS pro.
Count me in no more sexting as it will get you in trouble lol. No seriously I've had this happen on.every Rom. I'll text persona and it shows sent but personb will receive. First download the aosp mms.apk and place it on you memory card..I used root explorer...open it up and scroll to "system". Select it then select "app" you will then see all your system applications. Scroll down till u see "mms.apk" ...at the top right of your phone u will see a selection dat says "mount' selct it..then long press "mms.apk" and select delete. After doing this then reboot your phone. When it is back up go back to root explorer and scroll to "sdcard" and selct it..find where u saved the aosp mms.apk then copy it ..now back out and return to the "system", click mount on the top right of your phone and paste the aosp mms.apk into the system..then u need to set permissions. Long press on the new mms.apk you installed then select permissions..the first row of boxes should be checked already and on the second row just the first box..select ok..click mount on the top right of your phone again then reboot your phone and there u have it

Hmmm, I wonder if this is an issue with Sense ROMs or the radio. I'm running CM7 so I dunno how it would affect me, but so far, I haven't had an issue.
This does remind me of the problem I had with my Droid 2 before I went to the Thunderbolt. It wouldn't send texts to the wrong person, but the damn messaging app would delete the wrong thread every time. I go to delete a thread with a long-tap, and it would delete a thread a few spaces down instead. It was freakin annoying as hell.
it's annoying. I have to remember to delete all threads to insure it doesn't text the wrong person. Texting the wrong person happens more than twice a week.
Weird, I've never had this happen.
I've had this happen on the original software the TB came with but since using mr2 or cm7 I've yet to have it happen.
Sent from my ThunderBolt using Tapatalk
I had it happen already a bunch of times, perhaps once every 2 or 3 weeks. Extremely annoying but thankfully hasn't caused any serious issues (yet). Still its happened enoighbto make me actually feel cautious about texting. I just recently switched to handset for this very reason to see if it continues.

It's not the phone that's doing it. The problem may actually be with Android or with sense. It happens on other models of phones as well.

OK, got some pics and a video here! Should see what I was talking about.
http://youtu.be/3-UUMtQ9vdE
When you receive a notification, say an email, it shows a line in the notification drop down list. Press the line will open particular app. This is we all know.
But, have you noticed something like this? When press the notification line, don't release you finger but keep pressing it, sometimes, not often but did happen to me a few times, the font of the notification line became blurred and hard to read, unlike the normal case, it should be slightly smaller than the unpressed notification to indicate it's being pressed.
It's really hard to notice I know, since we just press it quickly and another app is opened right away. And, I tried to reproduce this but failed. So it just happens quite randomly or in a very certain circumstances.
Have you ever noticed this guys? Or can you try the same, press but not release when new notification comes in the future to see if it's just my phone?
Cheers!

Yes, this doesn't happen to me very often, I haven't figured out in what circumstances this would more likely to happen but maybe when battery is low, say about 15% or less. Could you and others just be mindful when clicking notification that will just be enough.

Hi, I just got my t-mobile g2x as a replacement phone from t-mobile
everything is fine, except the signal bar's color is always "WHITE/GREY" regardless 2G/4G, when I was using G2, it should be like green-ish.
Is that totally normal?
I am running stock 2.3.3, with t-mobile contract, and I definitely already sync/connect to google server (background data), because when I search a lot of ppl just saying "you are not connect to google".
Alright, another thing bugging me is coming out
The phone kept shows the screen before lock breifly, when I unlock the screen
Not solvble again?
It's LG's ****ty coding no way around it if you're on stock to my knowledge

Yup. Their crappy overlay directs the signal icons to the same icon for connected and non connected through XML. You have to go change it manually. The lock screen is due to their animations overlay... Their overlays are a nightmare and very VERY shoddy work. Their "devs" are more worried about sticking their name in code rather then actually coding. If you decompile their apps you will find tons of errors....

Green bars means you are connected to google Talk. It's has nothing to do with sync. Try signing into google Talk and see what happens. . Took me a while to figure it out too.

You're wrong, "green bars" mean you are synced with Google and you have an active data connection. Try flashing CM7 or CM9, your bars will change colors when synced with Google.
O yes, you are right. Just tested it. Cool.
It seemed to me that whenever I sign into gtalk my bars will go green. It turns out that is not the case. Learning something new everyday.

So annoying.
I'm rooted stock with xposed but since I've had the phone very very quickly a dark icon will flash in the top left of the notification bar. So quickly I can't make out what it is.. Anyone else notice this? It's starting to annoy the piss out of me.

I'm getting the white triangle as well flashing right when I receive or send a text even on my M7 on Sense 6. I still can't figure it out!
If it's the same thing we're experiencing then doing the method I posted on the first page works. I haven't seen the icon since I hide it.

I'm stock, non rooted etc and see the same. I have enabled Developer mode, I want to say that is the culprit but i'm not sure why. I also do not recall seeing it prior to the 4.4.2 update.

That Xposed module seems to have killed the triangle, thank you!!!!
But I'd still like to know why it's happening so I can kill it or figure out what's going wrong with the system instead of just Xposing it away.
