Tried installing a custom rom and apparently it didn't install completely. Unfortunately not my note 10.1 is stuck in recovery mode. It will reboot and always enters recovery mode. I can't seem to mount the internal sd card so I can add a new image to try and reflash. The original ROM i tried to flash it with was the 4.4.4 Omni Rom. My note is a 8013 by the way. Any ideas on how to fix this?
You can flash a new ROM using Odin or Heimdall . Download your ROM from Sammobile. Worked for me.

I guess the best option to do is a full wipe. Then download the rom again and flash via odin. Remember to check that USB debugging is enabled.

I installed cyanogen mod 10.2. Noticed it being very laggy. Went back to clockwork mod tried formatting all kinds of stuff. wiped dalvik catche.
Then again installed 10.2 then gapps.
Since then i reboot and get througn into clockwork recovery. I tried mounting my Internal memory and its not coming up. I tried following odin process to flash bootloader. But not detecting. I installed Samsung Drivers. Adb says driver ok. what to do

Wrong forum. This is for Nexus S and not for i9000.
Anyways, Odin will recognize ONLY in download mode.
Does: volume down + home + power not work for download mode?
Please delete this thread.

Hi Guys,
I had CM 10 on my phone and I was able to use CWM successfully. But, then I flashed Pandroid 4+ (CM 11 based) Kitkat 4.4 ROm on my phone.
Now, I am not able to boot into recovery mode. As i try to enter into recovery mode, My phone gets stuck in the boot screen and does not boot up. After so many attempts of pressing power button, it starts. It's so painful.
I want to revert back to CM 10 stable rom, but I can't boot in to recovery mode.
I did some research and found a CWMFixed.zip as a solution. It contains a boot.img file. Please let me know how can i flash this file without entering into CWM.
Or if there is any other solution for this problem then please let me know.
It urgent.
@tysonraylee I hope you can help me in this as you had posted a similar query in other thread.
Thanks in advance.
My friend, If you would have only read the PA thread properly you would know that beta 5 has the bug where it breaks the recovery you would have avoided the problem altogether but anyways i would suggest that you flash an odin format (.tar) kernel using PC Odin which will get you a working recovery and from there it should be pretty easy, if you took a nandroid backup before you will be able to restore your previous rom and if you didnt you have to flash a different rom of your choice
flash this TW PC odin format (.tar) kernel by bauner https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95784891001607164
make sure once you flash this to not let the phone boot into ROM, after flashing successful take off the battery and then insert back and boot into recovery.
Once you have a recovery then you need a SE Linux compatible recovery so for that connect the device to PC and mount the usb storage through recovery then transfer
This Bauner's KK kernel if you require CWM https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95784891001608504
and this GeeckoDev Raw kernel if you require TWRP recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53978758&postcount=583 (download raw_kernel_r6_k44.zip)
once transfered to your device flash the one you require and remember we are flashing these kernel just for temporary use and once a rom is flashed they will get overwritten with the recovery that comes with the rom kernel so you dont have to worry about these kernels
Once flashed remember to reboot to recovery and not system, once the device boots into your desired recovery then either restore your previous rom from backup or falsh a new one
hope this helps and remember next time before flashing a rom read the OP and atleast 4-5 last pages. Believe me this will save you a lot of trouble in your future flashing endeavours
hi folks,
My device was on cm11 and I wanted to try the slim6 rom and the new TWRP update for the recovery. I tried the TRWP unified version of Andi but after the flash succeded , everything from the tablet (Rom, data, system, etc..) was completly erased. Now the new recovery dosent read anything, even if I put a SD card with the files to flash. I tried to flash a another recovery with odin but the odin program freeze when I select the recovery . I can't find any working links for stock firmware and the one from sammobile crash most of the time before the end.
Any ideas of what happened on my device ?
I can get into stock recovery and download mode. However, my pc and odin does not detect the tablet even though i have necessary drivers installed.
The tablet is in bootloop and its efs partition is failed to be mounted. I am trying to install the stock ROM.
The tablet detects the external sd card without any problem. Is is possible to solve this problem from recovery, without pc?
Stock roms need odin
Custom roms can be flashed from ext sd card if you have custom recovery and thats flashed via Odin .

Yeah i know these methods but i wonder if there are any alternatives. In some devices i used, TWRP or CWM were able to be flashed through stock recovery.
It's an old device. I got it for free since it was just laying around in friend's home. Worked OK after factory reset with stock ROM. Wanted to upgrade Android.
Previously successfully flashed TWRP from andi34.github.io/recoveries_tab2.html for Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 GT-P3100 using heimdall on Linux. Could start the TWRP recovery. Then I followed FAQ andi34.github.io/faq.html
backup all important files (e.g. contacts) and store them on your MicroSD-Card or on your PC/Laptop
copy the rom and gapps you like to install to your MicroSD-Card (make sure Gapps match the Android version of the Rom!)
boot into your custom recovery
make a backup of your current running rom and store it on your MicroSD-Card or on your PC/Laptop (some of the following are named slight different depending on the recovery you use)
wipe cache
wipe dalvic cache
wipe/format system
wipe/format data
reboot your recovery once!

After reboot, I could no longer start recovery.
Perhaps I should not have formatted system?
Perhaps I should not have rebooted before flashing the ROM zip?
I can still enter download (ODIN) mode. Re-flashed the TWRP recovery. Rebooted. Still cannot enter TWRP. But can still enter download mode.
What do you recommend now?
Can I flash LinageOS ROM zip from andi34.github.io/roms_tab2_lineage.html using heimdall? But heimdall does not really support zip files? It's harder than that? Any guide for that?
Or do I have to re-flash the stock ROM? Can I flash the stock ROM using heimdall?
Get the stock rom for the device then use ODIN to flash the stock rom back, the stock rom should fix it as it also flashes the stock recovery back.
Did you reboot System instead of Recovery? What TWRP version was this? I also thought of scenarios like this.
Can you still boot to recovery (twrp)
