Hi all, I have a problem trying to update my GT N8010 to Kit Kat with Kies. Everything goes well (tablet connects to pc, kies tells me there is a new firmware and so on) untill the tablet starts downloading the firmware and then a kies window pops up telling me the pc is not recognizing my "phone" and I have to remove the battery.
Any ideas how to solve this problem?
I have tried OTA but there is no update available.

Hi guys,
I`ve flashed my SG3 with stock XXJPU ROM, and need connection with Kies to transfer contacts that I had stored in PC, but I can`t connect phone with Kies. Drivers are properly installed, Kies is, even, reinstalled, but no help. I can connect phone as mass storage, but can`t connect with Kies.
Any advice would be appreciated, because this is bothering me for hours.
OS: Windows 7, 64-bit, latest version of Kied installed

Forget about this guys. Bad ROM installation. I used stock ROM without bootloader from this thread, and obviosly it caused problems. i reflashed phone with stock ROM from this thread, and now, connection with KIES works fine.

Post ICS upgrade, my P6200 is not recognized by Kies. Installed latest Kies as well, it says my device not compatible with Kies 2.0
I tried going back to HC, and it works fine! When I again upgraded to ICS, same issue. Has any one encountered this issue or my tab is unique.
I have a P6210 with ICS on it. Kies was working until today when I applied the new Kies update. Now it does not see the tablet any more.
I had to uninstall kies and the mobile drivers.
Reinstalled the mobile drivers and I can access the device again.
i did install / uninstall on 2 different laptops, tried reinstalling ICS - no luck!
I have a unrooted N8010 running on stock firmware.
I installed the Samsung Kies and all the necessary drivers but when I connect my tablet to the computer it doesn't work at the first try (I get an error about Hardware ID not found...). Although the Samsung Kies software shows on the top left that the GT-N8010 is connecting... but it never connects.
Then I plug out the USB and click on troubleshoot connection and it re-installs the drivers. Then when I connect the tablet again it is recognized by Kies and it shows up on the software window.
My issue is that I have to do this everytime I first connect the tablet. I don't know why I need to re-install the drivers everytime for it to work. Any ideas as to what might be the problem?
Seems to be a common problem, I have same problem, even when connecting without kies to load stuff on my SD card, sometimes changing USB port helps or connect as camera, then back again to MPT. Jim

I recently upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S2 ROM to PACMAN ROM 4.2.2. Upgrade was successful and
everything is working fine. The backup I had taken in Samsung Kies is now becoming difficult
to put it back to my phone. I tried all possible ways to connect my phone to Samsung Kies but
this is not working. Due to this I am unable to restore my backup to my phone. Whenever I
connect my phone it gets stuck in connecting message and does nothing. It used to work before
the previous ROM.
What I have done till now:
1) Reinstalled samsung Kies several times (without & with phone connected). Downloaded the
latest kies and installed.
2) Manually installed SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.exe from kies folder.
3) USB Debugging ON/OFF both way tried - no help. (MTP Enabled always)
4) Removed all phone entries (ADB & other entries) from device manager and reinstalled each
drivers completely - no help
5) Take battery off and restart while kies connected.
6) checked different cable - no help
7) Tried on different laptop - no help
8) Tried connecting Kies with safe mode - no help
Please can anyone help?

I have a Samsung tablet (GT-P3100) running Android 4.4.2 kitkat (3.0.101-mokee-Espresso 10++)-NIGHTLY.The tablet doesn't connect to my laptop..
It gives a "USB not recognised error". I reinstalled Samsung kies twice, downloaded the drivers from other sources and installed but in vain.
The cable i am using is a usb+charging cable that came with the tablet. I would like to mention that the problem came a month after i installed the Mokee rom(in the mean time everything was working fine).
Using the same cable,however, i am able to charge the tablet.
The tablet shows no other error.
The laptop is Dell Latitude E6320 (original windows 7 professional).
Any help and an early response would be highly appreciated.

(Till then i m using connectify hotspot to share fling files which is slow and it also takes time setting up).

Any Luck with this, I am having the same issue, My Tab 2 is also not been recognized here. I am stuck on Samsung Tab Initial Boot logo. All this happened when I was trying to flash custom rom on it.

try to uninstall drivers from pc, and install it again. maybe fix
