[Q] When flashing custom ROM to my skyrocket, facebook messenger doesn't work - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Hi guys,
When flashing custom ROM to my galaxy s2 skyrocket, facebook messenger doesn't work. When someone calls me, the mic automatically mutes itself and then the call ends 5 seconds later...is anyone else experiencing this? Any possible fix?
Thanks!

Does it do it on all custom roms? Or just the one you're on. What rom?

Have you updated the app recently. I'm not familiar with the app so don't know if it only works on older versions of android.

Yes I have as I have clean wiped the phone before updating to custom rom deleting every data so I had to download again from Google Playstore...but still did not work...currently on 4.0.4 unless this is fixed...also, after the facebook messenger call, all of the mic seems to go mute alltogether....regular calls, skype, etc but when I record voice I still get to record normally....only calls do not work after the facebook messenger mutes itself and disconnects the call.

i guess no..
its the same version...
just the flashable via recovery.....version...
Summary of Gtalk 1.3 issues: (for those who wonder if it's worth it).
- Video/Voice from other party is visual/audible.
- Video from your side is broken (other side just see your google account avatar)
- Theoretically to enable voice calls to your phone you need to click on your status and tick the allow video/voice calls.
- Initiating calls to your phone isn't possible (you can't call from a computer to your phone).
- Initiating call from nexus to nexus (or other phones which I assume aren't nexus s with official google rom) isn't possible. your phone or the other phone won't be shown as voice call available.
To sum it up,
It's a nice "preview" but far than being truly worth switching to at this state.
most video/audio functionality is broken for real use (unless you want it to call people with computers for talking with them and watching them... that's the only thing).
The good thing is it's not worse than the older gtalk so the standard gtalk functionality won't be worse .
Thanks for the upload.
1. It running fine on my GRI40 stock and rooted N1.
2. Unfortunately, it cannot receive Google Voice connection; to replace my Gizmo5 sip forwarding.
3. The good thing is, I can use it via 3G connection
Tq.

He probably builds his own builds from source like me.
The latest nightly is probably 2.3.4 too now though. Just check build.prop before flashing if you want to be sure.
For the 2.3.4 build check last pages on nightly thread and for the files i flash check my twitter account @bluenazgul

Gapps-gb-20110503-signed.zip
Find it, flash it and EVERYTHING will work.
Got it running on CM7.0.2.1 but can't get any video or voice connection even with the May 3rd gapps.
From the browser, it shows my phone does not support voice or video. On the phone it just tries to connect for voice, but FC when I try to open a video chat.

Did you do your wipes before?
Try toggling thru speakerphone a few times to see if it helps.
It is normal that Hellraised ROMs have no sound on first call after flash.

text messaging proble,

i am having problems recieving text messages from a specific phone. i am running JB ROM (fresh install) and my wife has the galaxy nexus (rooted). she can recieve my messages but i can not recieve hers. i tested it out with a different phone and theres no problems there. its just between my phone and her phone. i can sent a recieve from my sisters phone and for her its the same way, but not my phone and my wifes phone, so clearly its a bug with my phone. anyone know anything about this??
Well, first you should try a different rom and see if this happens still. Several questions:
1) How long has this problem been persisting? Since you flashed the JB rom? Since you rooted/unlocked?
2) Did you flash any mods while on this JB rom?
3) Was this an issue on stock, TW?
4) Is this problem isolated to this particular rom? Have you flashed another rom and tested this out?

This just happened and I was on jelly bean Rom and it flashed to beans Rom and still the same thing. Didn't flash mods or kernel our radios. Just a clean install. I can receive messages from other people except my wife's. But doesn't have any problem with her end. So it's clearly my phone.

[Q] Unable to call in US, able to call in Europe (running CM 10.1)

Here's a somewhat interesting case, I think.
I installed CyanogenMod 10.1 and now have this problem where I can't hear/talk when I make a phone call. The call does connect to the other side (after a brief freeze of the phone app), but I hear nothing. Toggling the phone volume up/down during call makes no sound.
Here's what I've tried thus far:
Flash UXUMA7 modem.
Flash UCLI3 modem (current)
Take out SIM, shutdown phone. Insert SIM, reboot, reboot.
All other functions seem to work fine (messaging, etc.)
I'm on AT&T.
I was planning to reinstall a stock ROM and then flash CM again, but one thing confused me: I could call and hear fine when I was in Europe with a European (Vodaphone) SIM card last week. However, the same problem occurred when I used this SIM card to try to call the US (from Europe). So I'm wondering, is there setting I need to change?
Thanks in advance!
What ROM did you specifically install?

You could have stuck with 10.1-just not the experimental build. There was a commit added that fixed the no in-call audio bug. The audio is working fine now on the nightly builds. You can check out the thread and see which one has been the most stable for other users.

Won't receive incoming calls?

I'm on the latest CM11 nightly 100514 and can't receive any phone calls at all. It was working great on 8/4 builds and later but 10/02 and up I've lost the credibility to receive and phone CALLS. Any tips or suggestions would b great. Thanks

I'd suggest going back to a build that works. Only have a variant of cm here, don't run an official build myself

I would love to go back to 8/4/14 build BUT I deleted that build and nor have any backup. Also can't seem to find that build no where. Wonder what can cause this issue? Thanks, any other tips u suggest?

Ah good point. I don't see anything older than the beginning of October. Nothing I can think of. It may just be a bug, but with nightlies you run into them being buggy and take that chance sadly
Edit: I noticed in the RCs there's a build from 8/5/14

I've tried latest M11 snapshot over nightly and I had infinite phone dialer fc on me so I went back to nightly. BTW I've also deleted data of phone app and dialer app just to see if I can receive phone calls. I can receive phone calls through "viber" which is weird.

That is odd. Maybe try another CM build outside of the official CM?
From my Wicked S3 on SOKP
Yea might try that but REALLY don't want to wipe data though. Running out of storage and CWM recently acting up on nandroid backup. might just use titanium backup for all user/app data I guess.
