Odd SuperSU Prompt Glitch? - General Questions and Answers

hey guys. I apologize in advanced if this isn't the right section for my question.
Of late, when I enter an app that requires root access I am prompted as usual whether or not to grant or deny it root access. makes sense right?
well can someone please elaborate to me why my prompt box pops up looking like this?
doesn't bother me that much but I'd like to at least be able to read the bloody thing.

This looks strange. Are you sure you installed the latest SuperSU? Just in case, reflash it please.

This is a common problem for many roms.
What is happening is that you might have a theme on your phone with a white font so what you see is white text on a white background.
What rom are you running and do you have any themes? Have you seen something similar to this anywhere else on your phone?

I run stock kitkat on this device with xposed but no theming, the UI isn't modded... And I use one of the dark layouts provided by supersu application settings, what makes it even more odd to have the prompt whitewashed...

I did!
Go into SuperSU and change the theme.
The developers did made an error in judgement when setting the text colors for the specific theme that you're using.
Nothing is wrong with your device! It's just the specific theme's text colours that are an issue.
I've just emailed the Dev.

I must be doing something drastically wrong... I downloaded Root Explorer and put the file on my internal memory and it won't change. I would appreciate any help, please.
ohh noo
The search button does not work...can u post the file for the original market thanks

metamorph file changes please read

So I did I metamorph to change my 3g icon and when I look through my file managers, whether its astro or root explorer I can't seem to find that file or same icon, iv done a search and it comes up with nothing. But from just looking around I can find different 3g icons but not the one I'm running. So I guess my question is, is there a way to find it or get rid of the morph I did?
Metamorph applies the image to the apk itself so the only way to view the file or revert back to what you had, you will either have to download and decompile the apk or reflash the previous apk to revert back.

Dialer And Contacts (Works on RC1 and Hermes)

Here is Galaxy Tab custom dialer and contacts.
I'm still working on it, but if you want to try it here is what you need to do:
1.Backup your original Contacts.apk, in case you want to go back to original one.
2.Download the attached file.
3.Replace it in /system/app using Root Explorer.
4.Set the permission like the last attached picture.
5.Reboot.
That's it, I hope you like it, if you do just hit the thanks button.
*Do the steps for phone.apk as well.*
Change Log:
The search result white font on white backgroud is fixed.
Changed some images in Phone.apk, including incoming call background.
White letters on white background
in the phone tab iff you add favorites ther name are invisible on the white background.

[Q] CRT-OFF Animation

Hello everyone, I re-edited this post. I would like to know if there is a way to edit the framework.apk and go to the bools (I think) and refit some of the XML codes so we could have our old gingerbread lock animation, all help will be appreciated. Thank you.
wow, thats an offensive first post )to the eyes that is)
and short answer, not really, after a full reboot, the change is lost...
best way to find out? try it! im not a fan of it, so im not even going to bother, but if you root, keep it and copy the files to system, it should work in theory...
but im pretty sure that you have to reboot for the settings to stick :/

[Q] How KitKat looks...

Hello!
Maybe this question was asked a million times before, but I'm too tired to search for it, so I'll ask it again. Those that are annoyed by it, ignore it!
I installed CyanogenMod 11 (4.4.3 KitKat) on my Samsung Galaxy S Advance a couple days ago, but... It looks very ugly! Works very smooth though...
How can I change the application "phone" and "messages"? The ones in 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, looked much more beautiful to me than these ones.
Please tell me where to get them and how to change them. And if I change them, will the phone's performance be affected by them in any way?
I'd appreciate very much for all the help.
Thank you in "Advance"!
Really? Everyone is saying "post in the Q&A thread, post in the Q&A thread"...

you are likely being ignored as you suggested.
you could get the stock apps out of a jb rom and switch them with the kk ones. but i cant say for sure it will work because they may not be compatible.
alternatively, you could get apps from the market to use in place of the kk ones.
i prefer dw contacts and phone dialer for the phone, but dont replace the messaging app, so your on your own on that one.

i never said it was difficult, but its going to require a little effort to go get the old app you want, then replace the one you have with it.
if you could get someone on jb to pull and post the apps for you that would cut down on 1/2 the work. but there is still no guarantee it will work anyways.

btw, thre is no other easy way. you replace the app or get one from the market, those are your only options, other than going back to a jb rom completely.

If you use root explorer its easy. There is a little box at the top of the folder to tick and change from r/o to r/w.

I managed to give it root permissions, copied the files into the system\app folder, rebooted...they don't work.
I needed to replace the CertInstaller.apk for them to work, but doing so, I would lose the current apps. Didn't let me change that file though. And I don't know how to compile/merge the new one and the old one into a single file.
So, I'm pretty much stuck with what I have, being an average android user...
