[Q] Help! Accidentally deleted system stock bootanimation file

I was trying to change my bootanimation and accidentally deleted the system stock bootanimation file on root explorer.
I think I deleted the one from system/bin and the one in system/media.
Now i have no bootup screen...it's just black.
I tried replacing both of them with the bootanimation.zip file i wanted to use and nothing has worked.
Sorry I'm new at this and have googled and read as much as i can. I successfully changed the bootanimation screen the first time but i wanted to change it again and accidentally deleted the original bootanimation folder, which i guess you needed.
I'm afraid to do a system recovery because I have a rooted phone and I'm using Boost with it. I don't know if that will effect it in a bad way.
Please help!
Use bootanimation zip file intented for your device resolution...just search in this forum...

[Q] RootExplorer Doesnt give R/W in Build.prop

So I rooted and Flashed a new Rom. I flashed CoreDroid I also Flashed LeeDroid Patch for the Color mod. It works great, but I have one Problem. When I open Root Explorer I wont give me read write in the Build.prop. I want to do the tweaks that are out., but I cant. I have tired to uninstall and reinstall the app, but still no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Firstly, this should have been posted in the Q&A section as your issue really is neither an app nor a theme! Your issue is you are having trouble editing the build.prop. Secondly, make two back ups of your build.prop and make your edits to one of the back ups. Then copy and paste to /system making sure to overwrite the original, reboot and you're done.

[Q] Build.Prop

I had My Wildfire rooted(CM7 Nightly Rom).
By default System folder doesnt have build.prop file. i extracted the build.prop from the rom and pasted with few changes.
for eg. default ringtone to Rigel.ogg(orginal config Playa.ogg)
But my phone isn't changing Playa.ogg(Default) to Rigel.ogg
What i concluded is andorid is not reading the build.prop file
any suggestion?
Thanx

Idk if I'm right , but since by default it has no build.prop that means it won't read that file .
Forever living in my Galaxy Ace using XDA App
So can u please tell me how to make my Phone read the configuration mentioned in build.prop??
Hmm, wich nightly do you have?
CyanogenMod-7-Nightly-buzz
My only tip is make sure you are using a plain text exitor like notepad or notepad++ because otherwise the formatting can stop the roms from working.
Thanks for your reply..
actually i figured it out myself.
"Build.prop only works at the time of flashing"
I flashed my wildfire with updated build.prop and it reflected the changes that i made.
my real motive was to use timescape widget with Arc launcher.
can you guide me with this.

[Q] build.prop file needed for N8000XXUDNE4

Hello guys!
I tried to change screen density on my N8000 (TouchWiz KitKat [N8000XXUDNE4]) with build.prop editor. It has changed but the value was wrong and I could saw only some part of the screen so I was not able to change it back via build.prop editor app. So I did it on my laptop (copied build.prop file on SD than edited it on laptop and copied it back to \system folder.
Now my tab doesn't boot it stucks on Samsung flashing logo... :crying: :silly:
Where did I messed thing up? Will placing similar file from other device (N8000 with same ROM) help?
Could any one please share his original build.prop file with me?? (igemmon at gmail.com)
Many thanks in advace!!!

[Request] build.prop file

Can someone please upload the stock build.prop file .
I'm not sure which version i need, whether 10A or 10D.
I have NEVER updated my phone (i got it in like april/may) and i am rooted.
In setting > Software version shows: Unknown
(Part of the reason i need a stock build.prop)
Edit: i found the 10D build prop here for anyone looking:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g5/development/stock-h830-10d-rom-flashable-zips-imgs-t3406505
An interesting observation is that some buildprop apps load the file while others cant (that all request rot permission).
Can someone explain why perhaps? Is this due to a permission on the file or something?
UPDATE: The phone will not boot bc i accidentally deleted the build.prom file entirely by restoring a seemingly blank version.
I really need a build.prop file now. #fail
Final update:
I was able to find a backup of my original build.prop
For anyone that may need it in the future, here is an upload of the Stock H830 10A build.prop:
http://www46.zippyshare.com/v/xpQFOfnG/file.html
Thanks in advance.
