[Q] Problems with galaxy note [N7000] & android commander

Hello this will be my very first post at XDA although i have browsed the forums everyday since i can remember...
here is what i have:
Device: Galaxy Note N7000
Rooted: Yes
CWM: Yes
Rom: Slim Bean [latest version] & all the mods/add ons
Android Version: 4.1.2
Kernel: I did not flash one so it would be the one that comes with slim bean rom.. here is the info in my "about phone settings" 3.0.15-CM-gf76e4eb [email protected] #1
here is my problem:
i have installed everything by the book and i have a fully working note with the slim bean v3.1 [latest] adb works and i can successfully get root access using "adb shell su" i have the latest busybox pro installed and the latest supersu pro installed.
i have always used android commander to pull and push files to and from devices and other stuff without any problems, but with my new galaxy note i constantly get the root access NO. i have usb debugging enabled and i even have adb over network enable either way i still have no root access... if anyone can help me solve this i will be willing to donate i am at my witts end trying to figure it out..
people have told me many things such as i have a stock kernel or i need to fnd a way of changing secure adb to insecure adb whatever this means...
thanks in advance
[SOLVED]
it was the kernel which stopped root access being given to android and total commander so the slimbean kernel was based on stock or so i would guess.. i flashed the hydracore OC v7 kernel from xda and bam it works great now lol..

[Q][ROM] My custom rom fails Samsung GTi9100

Hi,
I am a new beginner of android. I am trying to rebuild the kernel with profiling support for Samsung galaxy s2 (GT-i9100). After flashing my custom rom to my phone, my phone does not work.
This is how I do it:
1.Downloaded the image I9100XXLP6_I9100OXXLP3_OXX and flashed my galaxy s2 mobile using odin software. now my Galaxy s2 works fine with ICS build (kernel version - [email protected] #3, Ardroid version - 4.0.3).
2. Downloaded the samsung galaxy s2 source code GT-I9100_ICS_Opensource_Update8.zip from opensoure.samsung.com and cross compiler arm-eabi-4.4.3.
3. Use the initramfs from github (Since I am a new user of this forum, I can not post outside link here; I google with "arighi/initramfs-gt-i9100.git" and use the first link)
4. Through "make menuconfig" to enable the profiling support and configure the initramfs source path as specified at step 3.
5. After compiling, I can get the custom zImage of size about 8 MB
6. Then I use "tar -cvf mykernel.tar zImage" to generate my custom rom; and then flash it to my phone through odin.
7. Now my phone boots with a kernel panic upload mode screen and my phone doesn't work.
My question:
1. Does the initramfs cause the problem? If it is, where can I get the matched initramfs for the kernel source code?
2. Is there anything wrong in my above steps?
I would be very appreciated if someone could help me.
Thanks.

FaaastJB v2.5 running on Hipstreet Flare (Easy fix)

Hello there, for anyone with a Hipstreet FLARE (HS-9DTB4) who has had the nightmare of trying to find a ROM for it, I have a solution!
These models typically come from Canada, like myself, although I don't know if it's exclusive. I spent many hours modding operating system files when I almost accidently came up with a MUCH easier solution.
This instructional assumes you have installed your USB drivers and have a copy of ADB
1: BACK UP YOUR ROM
(if you're like me and you lost the original you can probably skip this)
2: Follow the instructions at A13 ROM JB 4.2.2 + DRIVERS and install FaaastJB v2.5 (4.2.2).
Once installed, your touchscreen and gsensor will NOT work
3: Download the TS driver from the installation link: - ft5x_ts, goodix_ts, gslX680, nt11003+mxc32x0
4: Unzip the file to your ADB directory
5: Open the file 'setupsensors.sh'
Remove this line: insmod /system/vendor/modules/mxc32x0.ko
6: Insert this:
Code:
#9inch
insmod /system/vendor/modules/ft5x_ts.ko
insmod /system/vendor/modules/goodix_ts.ko
insmod /system/vendor/modules/nt11003.ko
# insmod /system/vendor/modules/ssd253x_ts.ko
# insmod /system/vendor/modules/ssd2533_ts.ko
insmod /system/vendor/modules/gslX680.ko
#7inch
# insmod /system/vendor/modules/gt811.ko
# insmod /system/vendor/modules/gsl1680.ko
# insmod /system/vendor/modules/ssd253x_ts.ko
# insmod /system/vendor/modules/sitronix_ts.ko
# insmod /system/vendor/modules/pixcir_touch_811.ko
# insmod /system/vendor/modules/gslX680.ko
#insmod G-sensor driver
insmod /system/vendor/modules/mma7660.ko
# insmod /system/vendor/modules/mecs.ko
# insmod /system/vendor/modules/mxc622x.ko
# mkdir /data/misc/sensors 0777 system system
-- Loading these modules into other A13 ROM is possible but I couldn't for the life of me get the WIFI working (properly), except in FaaastJB.
7: Connect your Hipstreet FLARE via USB and execute the 'run.bat' that came with the TS modules.
8: Enjoy having Google Play on your (crappy) Hipstreet Flare
Not sure if I like the new launcher, but thanks for pointing me toward the newer faastjb.. dunno if I like the bootscreen either..
ANYHOW.. In the past, on my Hipstreet Flare, I was using the gt_828 ? driver.. and it seemed to work, however, I never bothered getting the sensors working/etc.. However I would like the camera to work, and, it doesn't seem to with these drivers / this rom .. (crashes when opening cam app)
Mucho thanks for posting the drivers to use with the Flare, touch and gsensors seem to be working fine.
And many thanks to Toxicro for making the rom etc !
As a newbie to flashing android, I thought I might point out that when you edit the 'setupsensors.sh' file, do NOT use notepad.
Notepad++ seems to work fine (it is compatible with this file format).
I used Livesuit 2 to flash, and did have trouble getting the driver to load. Best I could get was a USB - unknown device showing in device manager.. but from there it was easy enough to argue with Win7 and finally manage to manually point to the Livesuit/driver folder.
One thing I noticed, is that you can still get into a recovery mode with FAAST-JB.
In the stock Flare, from power off, you hold the Vol- and Power until the unit responds, then start pressing Power repeatedly (while holding Vol-). With Faast-JB loaded, you have to hold the Vol+ instead (since the keys are reversed in the flash, no biggie).
This now brings up a CWM recovery screen.
I would think that Backup and Restore probably work fine.
But what about "Install zip from sd card" ?
Would this work for further flashing, or would that not be recommended due to the odd structure of these A10/13 devices ?
Any original rom to Hipstreet FLARE HS-9DTB4-4GB
Dave

Revive my dead china clone with RK3188 (rockchip-rk31sdk-WAWJMDN1KN)

Hi,
I'm badly need some help to revive my (rockchip-rk31sdk-WAWJMDN1KN).
Perhaps someone will give me idea to allocate proper parameter for recovery , kernel , boot , etc...
Usual location for tablet RK3188 Cortex A9 Quad core 1.6 ghz Governor interactive, Kernel 3.0.36+ ,Board hardware RK30Board/ 0000, Android 4.2.2 ;eng.root 20130912.185132 sdk 17, Display 1280x800; dpi;160 size 9.4'
GPU:Mali-400MP, RAM: 2048 Flash:32 gb Build in:16gb actual, wifi, usb, Bluetooth gps= all yes, camer 5MP additional 1.9MP
I decide to go ahead and try some custom rom using RKAndroidTool did not realize that by cleaning IDB I will low level format..
Before doing that I did save few pictures and run log via "android studio" also I backup whole unit via CWM hoping I will always have access to recovery.Unfortunately that not the case. The good think I still have access to RKAndroidTool( the tool is recognizing my device).
I can post link to my CWM backup if may help.
Inside that CWM backup is kernel.bin, system.bin recovery bin all large sizes files (complete CWM of my last working tablet rk3188). Maybe someone be able to advice how to make proper files to revive my system from that backup I have or help me some how to get recovery working so I can use my CWM backup or any other way to make this tab back to life again..
Many thanks for your kindness and time.
Have nice day
Adam
UPDATE ___
RK3188 adb is running no screen__help PLEASE
After erasing IDB in my unknown china tablet and loosing my whole system I was able to load different custom firmware from Chuwi v88 + different kernel and my Tab popup in windows showing 2 extra drives F and G.I did open android studio and notice access to adb and all activity in my android. The RKandroidTool also recognizing my tab.
No reaction to power button only automatically connecting to my comp ( black screen on my tab).
I have original CWM backup of my device.
Can someone advise me how to access recovery from this point or find the way to completely start my tablet.Maybe is possible to recover CWM from adb?I will need some help to use a proper commands perhaps in adb.
