Small lucky group have been testing it for several days. I think it's gonna be rolled out for others soon.

I got tired of waiting and flashed DE 4.4.2 then got update to 4.4.4. Wishing I waited now as there is very little improvement for me, still wifi drops which is my only real issue with moto g.

A wipe clean and fastboot flash of a factory firmware image should solve that. There are now countless posts related to issues from applying OTA updates. I personally would never touch one. Hopefully the 4.4.4 full firmware images will arrive soon and people go that route.

Convert your Moto G into the GPE and you'll get the 4.4.4 update instantly.

I've switched to GPE on my UK Moto G and got the 4.4.4 update immediately. Couldn't be happier.

Wifi drop only or general connection drop? It's really a tedious problem especially in play store, on 4.4.2.
I was hoping that was resolved in next update ...

Android 4.4.4 OTA
So anyone rocking an UK Moto G didn't get 4.4.4?
How much we need to wait? ?

If you read the earlier comment, it was stated already that it hasn't been released full scale yet, only to a select few for testing.

I have the update this morning. I flashed to Vodafone uk 4.4.2 and got the update straight away.
Nice new feature that was something that was annoying, you can now remove carrier from status bar on 4.4.4

Haven't got my update yet. What your software ver. before this?
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using XDA
What is the update for and if rooted and running nonstock rom will it matter?
Probably the wifi calling fix update..
My phone that I ordered on launch day(and just received earlier today) has software number "1.53.531.16 710RD" ... I have not received any update.
Is your software number any different after the update?
Hmm, when did you get your phone and do you happen to remember what your version was before the update? I just looked at my software version and it's 1.53.531.16 710RD and my phone has not been updated as far as I know. I just got it on Sunday.
I realised that I phrased my post wrong. Updated, I haven't received any update. Sorry for confusion.

maybe this
http://www.tmonews.com/2012/04/software-fix-coming-for-htc-one-s-wi-fi-calling-battery-drain/
this software update is actually the one that has the effected wifi calling battery drain..
not all the phones Tmo initially released has the software with the issues on it.. i was thinking last saturday when i got the notification of the software update it was the fix but after looking over the software version i had a different one and the one they were trying to send me was the bad one so i just ignored the update and didnt run it..
Can you still receive update after rooting or even putting a custom rom on it?

What state does your phone need to be in to get an update?
It seems most people progress in the following order. At what point do you stop getting updates?
A, Completely Stock
B, + Unlocked bootloader
C, + CWM recovery
D, + Rooted
E, + Custom rom
I know that you'll get it with (A) obviously... and that you won't get it with (E). What about (B), (C), and (D)... what affects whether you get an update or not?
Depends on how customized your ROM is; I still get updates on my kindle Fire with MoDaCo ROMs.
Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2 Beta-5
you will still receive ota updates on any rom until you remove the ota service. however, if you have a different recovery or have removed certain system apps the update will fail to apply.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda premium
Slightly confused here...
I rooted my S via the HTCDev site, installed CW recovery etc but did not install any ROM yet. Will I be able to get this update from TMO or do I have to unroot and go back to stock to receive it?
I think most likely that that the OP just got a phone with the older pre releae verision of software.
That is the same software mine had out of the box.

I emailed LG US, and they told me that they do not know when MM for the H950 will be released or whether it will ever be released... Would someone with AT&T use their customer support email to ask when it will be released? Just played around with an Honor 5x, and the phone software (6.0) seems much more smooth and refined than the G Flex 2's lol
If it's up to AT&T, we're fu*ked.

Nothing in Hungary either. (H955 unbranded) . Although, Hungarian LG Mobile Support confirmed that the roll out is in progress . Different countries, different schedules. So there is a MM for LG G Flex 2 unbranded H955 that's for sure.
That's great! But as always, i believe when i see it Hope it's only matter of days before MM update lands all over Europe through LG PC Suite

Flash ftf via flashtool DO NOT INCLUDE anything with simlock.ta in it and you'll be fine. Only real difference I noticed is there's 1gb more internal memory space than on 35 firmware. Screen time is pretty much the same and the WiFi bug is fixed.

When the Marshmallow update dropped a year ago, taking out my SIM immediately caused the update to be available upon check, so not necessarily true.

I had to pull my Verizon SIM to download the May security patch as well. Verizon users who did not remove the SIM received the update much later. Motorola does release updates in batches by IMEI number, but depending on your carrier, having the SIM inserted can block the update.
So....Is there an update, or no? I noticed a hell of a lot of people looked at this post but few responses.
Edit: error

According to the FAQ page for the MXPE, no. Updates are supposed to be received, even if the bootloader is unlocked, but that is not the case. I was on TruPureXMM ROM, since December 2015. I recently went back to stock using the "current" firmware available on the Motorola site. Even tho it was dated September 2016, it was only up to the November 2015 security patch. I am unable to pull OTA updates. "My devices software is up to date". Moto customer service states that I cannot receive updates with an unlocked bootloader.
