[CUSTOM ROM] DextroWizHD for Ultrafone 701HD

Hi all....
I've ported Naturewiz HD for a116 to the Ultrafone 701 HD...
The port is working beautifully... No issues in 24 hours of testing.....
Except for reduction in camera quality - say 10% in daylight and 40 % darker at night....
I need some time to research and fix this sole bug....
maybe the other developers with this phone can help??......
Will appreciate feedback as usual....In the meantime...ENJOY!!

I've Tested the ROM on my own Phone....It Works..
This ROM has been ported from "NATUREWIZ HD™ ROM FOR MICROMAX A116 CANVAS HD" by Dj_Ignatius
This was made through the resources already available on various threads in XDA....
All credits to the original developers.....
I take DO NOT responsibility for any damages - It worked on my phone, no reason it should
not work on the other 701HDs out there.... Take a backup of all important stuff... Better safe than sorry..

How to install:
1) Download .zip file
2) Put into External/Internal SD Card
3) Go To CMW Recovery
4) Wipe Data/Factory Reset And Wipe Partition
5) From Advance Menu and Wipe Dalvik Cache
6) Go in Mount And Storage select "FORMAT SYSTEM"
7) Select Install From SD and Select File
8) Select YES to flash
9) Reboot Your System

Did you clear the davlik cache before installing??
I chose the second option in viper.....
any feedback about the ROM?? the camera??

The rom is working good
Camera I am not sure if the photos actually come 12mp
Yes the photo quality is not as much like stock
Other than that. The ROM is working good. No probs at all . connected WiFi. Xda installed.. Looking good :thumbup:

actually i am not into the megapixel funda at all....
Naturewiz had it... and i did not have the patience to revert it back to the stock camera....
IMHO the stock cam is bettter than a116...

did not get to remove the chinese root app either....

It is a good ROM dude . besides we could remove the Chinese app right ? I like this more than stock ROM

I'd like to know which rom is best on that phone so that we can port it to ours...
I dont find much time to do all this and the next rom i port will most probably be the one i'll keep permanantly

now have to decide on the next rom to port
Maybe we could wait for the sony Xperia c with 6589 and port that rom
any ideas?

Dude... All the wireless network functions. WiFi. Airplane mode etc sometimes start getting very sluggish and internet stops data transfer
But once that happens and you try to re connect to WiFi the phone starts to restart multiple times and finally it become normal

Oops.... I'll try to reproduce that on my phone......
Tested GPS on the road..... First time took about two minutes.... Later took only few seconds....

I used "pimp my ROM" app to take care of networks issue. So that's taken care of. But now the problem I am getting is repeated force close message of gapps
Other than that. Things are good for now

Dude after testing the ROM for a day. Here is my feedback for the ROM
1. The wireless networks become sluggish and toggle buttons like Wifi on\off , Airplane Mode does not respond as expected
2. The battery status is shown inconsistently. Yesterday battery status was showing 4 percent after full charge and restarting the phone. and after a couple of restarts back to 90 % ! :cyclops:
3. Force close messages come for gapps repeatedly. I guess there is some issue with syncing from user accounts
4. known issue of camera.Tried apps from market,but no change.Guess putting the stock camera App or drivers could do the trick
Apart from this the ROM was running beautifully. I think this is a great start for a New ROM and First one too for 701 HD :good:

The airplane mode button seems to switch off BT, wifi , cellular network and data. No effect on GPS! When you switch airplane mode off it only turns on WiFi BT and cellular network but leaves the data connection off... Again no effect on the GPS...... Seems to be a build.prop entry.... Lemme check...

StarkHD and Canva4HD are good choices... from Canvas 116 HD and GravityMod2 from WL8

Sorry missed this post completely
Sadly most of my friends are still on nokia symbian phones.. no chance there.I am the only one into these things
Maybe we could wait for Experia C. It is almost confirmed to come out this month.Except for QHD Screen against our HD screen. Most specs seem the same
But If I know right, only having same chipset for phone might not be enough to port the ROM right ?
BTW , is this ROM (Dextrowiz) ported from MMX Canvas4 ? the most recent one ?

GAMING REVIEW.
First boot ram was around 780. Good for gaming
after installing 30 apps got around 450mb ..
HD games work smooth.
Dead trigger 2 (high graphics mod)
NBA 2k14 working smoothly.
The Amazing spiderman working great
PES 2012 working smooth
God of War (PPSSPP) working smoothly
Burnout legends (PPSSPP) working smooth
Flappy bird working great
But Virtua tennis is not working.. when i open it ..it goes to homescreen
WANT to get highscore in flappybird without playing HMU.
BTW i saw "latest kernel" in your post ... you found any new custom kernel or just the stock one ??

Just confirmed and he hasn't faced any of these problems ! Gallery is working fine and there is a separate app for walkman use that ! Don't use the default music app which gives the option to play with default music player or walkman. If u choose walkman it doesn't work. But the separate walkman app works very fine !
No one else has reported the bug so far ! ( So i guess problem at your end ). Flash as per the instructions and see

yeah. swipe didn't work and pin unlock wouldn't come up. no usb otg in settings => storage. cannot unmount cleanly.
keyboard is different from that seen here. which one is that? gravitybox runs without errors, which is a good thing.
unfortunately, video player fc'd on me. not sure why. having to revert to earlier rom for now.
excuse the ot remark: too bad nobody chose to respond here and here. (hence posting here.) was only trying to check whether anyone could get the script to work on kitkat.
nothing happening on the kitkat front anymore? hope somebody would release a stock, deodexed, zip-aligned, pre-rooted, etc. kitkat rom with sd-card access fully pre-patched.

keyboard is different from that seen here. which one is that?

Well thats the KK keyboard from the playstore....its a light keyboard with a key for emoticons.... Works for me.

Lockscreen Issue patch
LOCKSCREEN PATCH FOR FLEXI ROM​
Instructions:
Download patch.
Put in sd card/internal memory
Select apex launcher or any other launcher (after installation) as default launcher.
If u have already selected acer launcher as home launcher always on first boot
goto settings - apps - all apps
select acer home
scroll down
select clear deafults
press home button
now select apex launcher.
Now reboot in recovery.
flash the patch.
Now u will see ur old jb lock screen.:laugh:
If u want acer home tobe home launcher follow above procedure for apex launcher and clear defaults.
select acer home as home launcher.:good:

Very unstable ROM. Music Force close when selecting sound effects. Phone not unlocking. Had to manually bring out the battery. You should mention that it's only one sim.

You are roniistar its single sim ROM very disappointing
I appreciate your work TECHVS but ROM still need more improvement other keyboard is not working beside launcher keep on stopping every time other thing work fine just do something for sim problems and launcher

@roniistar That was my mistake I m only using one sim so forget to check to sim2 and i will check music player and launcher and fix it soon…. But this is not unstable rom every rom has bugs but we need solve the bugs… Thanks for feedback

@roniistar That was my mistake I m only using one sim so forget to check to sim2 and i will check music player and launcher and fix it soon…. But this is not unstable rom every rom has bugs but we need solve the bugs… Thanks for feedback

@dykhatri i already make htc rom with dual sim but i have some issue so i will fix it soon and release it. I m litlle busy because my colge is started so. I dont get much time in 4 or 5 days i will uploade it with all bugs fixed......

Rom works great.. One thng s notced s that after u turn off the screen n turn t bak on, the connectvty symbols on status bar dsappear.. Rom s good for daly use

Any Bugs as mentioned above like network ??

Bugs-
1. Only one signal icon.
2. Cant change mobile network. However u can change it by dialing *#*#4636#*#*.
3. Dnd not working.
4. After rebooting, the sims are off and we have to turn it on again.
5. Games like boom beach.. U cant load the previous save from google play games.
Rom is good for daily use...
To solve the boom beach problem and oter such problems, fleash download the latest paranoid android gapps and flash it.
To solve the 13mp problem, download lenovo camera 3.67. searc in xda. Then flash it using CWM recovery. U can choose resolution as 4608X3456 which is the 16mp resolution.

Devrookie and i tried to port hdc galaxy s5 rom to our device.. But we wer not successful. Any chance u cud port that rom ? Wud be great. Coz the rom is stable.. Rom available in needroms site.

i have already ported it but after pressing lock button, screen doesn't turn on bt system works. When I pressed volume down & power button, it took screenshot. dont know what's the issue.

This rom is from coolpad f1 which has the same configuration as canvas nitro. S5 rom. 4.4.2.

Try replacing this file with the one in stock rom from system/lib: libsurfaceflinger.so

i used this rom but i am facing prob. in changing apn and data disabled and enable otherwise every thing is gud pliz solve the network issue
