One really good looking app.. Subscribed and waiting for next improvements Keep up
Some things I've noticed:
-Weather icons needs resizing (MDPI)
-Manual location isn't working properly (at least for me)
And one little recommendation.. If the app is still in beta, there shouldn't be in-app purchases already for those little things like weather.. I'm not saying that having them is bad idea, but not for these kind of things..
Widget and alarm should be.
( My opinion)
Looks fantastic. May well be a replacement for Sunrise for me (not that it needs replacing, but I do love the look of this.
Really nice! One request though, can you add tasks/to-do for each day/week :fingers-crossed: ?
Looks very promising. I've installed the beta, will try to play around some this weekend.

A small part of ifo is missing: what's free and what's paid.
I only hope that EC Commission regulation regarding "free" games in Play Store will be extended into apps.
To do list
It is possible to add to do list sync?
Agreed. Weather is way too available in other apps to charge for it.
Congratulations!
Awesome work.
Very nice calendar with some "Google Now" look a like aspect.
Keep up the good work!
Nice app. A few suggestions:
1. A month view toggle would be nice. Consider adding this option when the user taps the current day
2. Advance to the next/previous day by swiping the current day (top) pane left/right
3. Advance beyond the next 4 days by swiping the second pane
Sent from my LG-D851 using Tapatalk
Beautiful! But:
1) why is the weather still there when I disable it?
2) To my surprise, almost no calendar app handles google tasks. I find it so handy to have it in one app and one widget (like "day by day"-app)
From organizational point of view, there is a big difference between a task and a date.
Is there a plan for adding a dark theme to the app in the future?
Thanks for feedback

Why we should create a Google account with default mailer? I'm using cloudmagic or it could see my Google account... strange
Otherwise the look is interesting....

Yeah considering that most mobiles already have weather available
Nice looking app with a nice concept..now, what i do not like:
- too much weather information on the first screen
would like to see the first panel and then the calendar. For more information about weather, would be nice to scroll the first panel or click on it.
- Month view please
thats all please keap it simple. nice job and concept!! Congratulations
just installed this to test, thanks can't wait to see what u do with the widget

Why would you want this? Why does everyone seem to want this for every app? There's a reason Apple are doing well you know.... XD

Swiping is definitely something that should be one the cards (see what I did there?) A google now approach would be cool with regards to these cards methinks- maybe some way to swipe to change options? 9Perhaps personalisation of Sports updates?) Dunno how hard that is to code though...

AMOLED screens use less power on black walppapers/themes + it's a lot easier on the eyes if you're looking at it in a dark room. You don't have to implement anything, I was just asking.
Apple is doing well because their products are fool proof and have no option of optimisation nor customisation. You can't miss what you don't have.
Please, please, PLEASE, add the following features :
- month view / 4 week view with actual event text labels (and not just colored rectangulars like the AOSP / Google Calendar app)
- Google tasks within calendar views (especially monthly / 4 week views). The only current app I know which supports google calendar & google tasks is the old fashion looking jorte calendar (which has horrendous UI)
Many thanks in advance.

[APP][2.2+][WIP] SwipeScreen - gestures&informations oriented home screen replacement
SwipeScreen is a home screen replacement which gathers all information services on the one screen and allows you to quick access to the last informations that your device got.
A few years ago there was SlideScreen project which is my inspiration, however it's only a base. I am going to release SwipeScreen with many more features.
SwipeScreen features:
SwipeScreen will provides a few services that gather data:
SMS
Missed Calls
Calendar
Facebook
E-mail
Twitter
Google Tasks
Instagram
...
Every service will be a standalone plugin that you can install from Google Play (expect basic ones that will be delivered with an application). There will be released SwipeScreen Plugin API which allows to the others creating new plugins.
Screen will be divided into sections (every section is an individual plugin). Section will contains items which will be new SMS messages, Twitter/Facebook messages, etc. Sections will be marked with unique color to distinguish its type. Between sections there will be main center bar with additional informations:
clock
weather
date
battery
network connection
...
And now something about swiping.
Every item will handle 4 gestures:
swipe left
swipe right
press
long press
Let me explain it on MissedCalls plugin - this plugin will display informations with contact's name and date of missed call. We can interact with this call information in 4 ways:
swipe left - make a call
swipe right - dismiss call (mark as read)
press - go to call details
long press - remove call from calls history
On the right of every section will be visible section's icon which will handle two events - press and long press. With press we go into default application and with long press we mark all items as read.
Center bar will also handles above gestures.
press - go into clock alarm
long press - open Android preferences
swipe left - changes center bar to quick launch section with 4 user's predefined applications' icons. Swipe right will allow to go back to the center bar
swipe right - moves to the another screen - just as in every standard home screens
Another features:
plugins can be reordered
sections' colors will be delivered as a few sets
every plugin can has its own preferences screen delivered by developer
plugin has to have defined icon in SVG format
plugins will be available in Google Play
SwipeScreen Plugin API allows to define gestures handling
...
Project page

In a 2-3 weeks I will release first alpha version and some bugtracker for bugs reports and your new ideas. However I will be pleased if you will post some feedback - what you think about SwipeScreen ?

This sounds like a great minimalistic and practical idea. Would be nice if you can post some graphical templates too, like an overview to give us some general idea about how it would look. Good luck with this and looking forward for it.

Yep - would love to see this!
How different it will be from swipe pad, which i currently use,n i don't even open my app drawer bcoz it does my job, but there are many things that still need to be done like blocks displaying last Whatsapp, sms, messages, so no need to open the app, just view the first lines n if not urgent leave for later reading,

Just some personal options, I would like to see control on font sizes on the views (Month, Day etc...), I just think the day numbers could be a little larger and bolder or at least give the user the option. I would also like to see a method of switching from Month, Week, Day and Agenda other than having to reach to the top left of the screen, if anything maybe because of my laziness . I just found that I had to use two hands to switch from Month to Agenda as opposed to one handed as if I was walking and had to check it or was carrying something in my other hand. That is the only thing I would say felt awkward to me. Again these are just things that jumped out to me for my personal preferences. I think it seems solid and I know it is a first release, as as I said in the review it is worth keeping an eye on. Thanks.

I use GTasks before, but one thing ever annoyed me is how complicated when you want to indent a task (I love indenting tasks...). In my app almost all operation can be performed more efficiently (maybe the most efficient way is put a lot of buttons, but I really cannot stand the ugliness of this). I know there are a lot to be done such as touth to move tasks (instead long press to move), and a sub-menu for task item to delete. I will certainly do this in future releases.

I'll add a font setting in future. About the button at top left, I once considered to put them all in the side panel, but I find that there are to much in it: the different views, the mini-month calendar, and visible calendar selector. I'll think about this method again or try to find another idea.

Look man, if you wanna make a redundant thread to be the end all be all of widget apps, then how about you keep it updated? It's going to be an investment to try it out, but I'll get it!
WatchWidgets is pretty cool but I was using a cool looking clock and it seems to take its tole on battery life. Since the clock is a widget it keeps a connection with your phone. Don't know enough about bluetooth 4.0 but it seems like a more active connection than an occasional refresh for weather or calendar.
The watchwidgets for smartwatch 2 app has in its menu some clocks numbered from one to five, but in the widgets menu we can find only those who have dimensions from 1*1 to 5*5. Does anyone know the purpose of these watches?
In the same app can we have widgets as 3*4 or 4*5 etc, that is not square?
Yeap I think there is a slight issue of battery in watchwidgets for smartwatch 2

I reported my findings to the developer. I will not update the first post with pics until it's stable.
There are 3 differend kind of clocks in the watchwidget app: analog, clock and timezone. I can see these three types in my widget bar.
Analog
\_
Clock
17
38
Timezone
17:38
So those clock1 to 5 and clock1x1 to 5x5 and analog are those widgets above.

So the clocks from 1 to 5 are probably the timezone clocks ,iaren t they?
they're also different sizes
timezone clock 1 & 2 = 2 colums, single row
timezone clock 3 & 4 = 5 colums, 2 rows
timezone clock 5 = 5 columns, 3 rows
date widget 1 = 3 colums, single row
date widget 2 = 5 columns, 2 rows
there's also 5 more digital clocks in sizes 1x1, 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 and 5x5
all digital clocks can display hour:minute, hour or minute
analog clocks are also size 1x1 - 5x5 (so 5 options)
@neelz: the SW2 has bluetooth 3.0, not 4.0

Hi developer, I have had no luck when changing the font on the offline clock in WatchWidgets... Would you know why this is. And Op should add WatchWidgets to the list... It may not be very stable but it is better than nothing

Thank you very much for the update.
Great app.
One question. I don't understand the way to change font in offline watches. Could you explain more?
Please share all the QuickCircle apps in this thread.
It's better to have them all in one place, rather than looking everywhere.
(I am NOT the owner of any QuickCircle apps, give creds to the devs)

Sure it will be awsome, But it is very hard to create app from nothing. And it one hour for google to add support for the quick circle
Can we please get Pandora controls for Quick Music? Or does it not use the correct API?
Just had a quick test of whatever players I had. Along with Play Music I can confirm working:
Tunein
Spotify
Bubble Upnp when chrome casting or local play.
Doubletwist
BBC iPlayer when chrome casting.
Podkicker
Sent from my LG-D855
Confirmed works with rhapsody. Loving it

I second this. Please add Pandora support. Thanks for all your work.
Great work coming from Sternberg Labs! I am also loving the music app. Confirmed works with Play Music.
Would love to see a nav app as well!
I have been using Pandora with it. All I did was install both apps. Nothing special.

Quick music still working fine, also tested the behaviour to switch to the playing app when you open the case and that seems to be working correctly too.

I'm working on a Calendar for Quick Circle and I need you feedback about what I planned:
It will look the same as a call log, but without the call button. Every List item will be:
Event Name
Event start date - event end date
Event location
On click, it will show you a full circle activity with:
Event Name
Event description (if any)
and two buttons:
Navigate >> Go to full screen Maps or whatever you use...
Delete >> delete the event, back to the list
(optional - share button, what do you think?)
If you open the case on the event activity, it will go to the event info on your calendar app.
If you open the case on the list activity, it will go to what was before.
What do you think?
Sounds basically good. My suggestions would be:
My favourite calendar widgets replace the date with "today" or "tomorrow" as appropriate, which is very good for seeing the urgent things at a glance.
I'd make the event name the bigger or bolder font, and location smaller, again to make the important details stand out.
I don't see the need to delete events - I hardly ever delete events, and I don't need quick access to do so. No harm in having it, of course.
I'd like events to be shown until they've finished - some calendar widgets remove them once they've started, which I find weird. Same goes for all day events.
Support for calendar colours would be nice, but not vital.
You could use the ability to show unread numbers on the icons to show that there is an event alarm outstanding (again, that would be nice, not essential though)

The today/tomorrow part is a great idea, I'll implement it.
The contact name on the contact us is in bold, and the number & date are smaller. it will be the same.
So, you prefer share button instead? or just a navigate button?
I don't know how it will work with all day event, but I request from the provider only events that:
Their start day is later
Their end day is later
So I don't know if it will include the event. I'll check it later.
The unread number is impossible I think, since you need a way to refresh the icon.
And about the color, I think it will cause the list to look ugly. But, I'll check it after the release.

Totally agreed, on my opinion rosary today and tomorrow events it's more than enough and in the list mode I'd prefer some minimalist, like UpNext Calendar
{

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
What do you think? The font size will be bigger and there will be valid spacing (and if it all ltr it will look fine)
I'll also make it work with RTL

Remind me of "Flow Home" but with (expensive ?) in app-purchase
Anyway, add a refresh button to synchronize our feed would be nice.
Also Feedly support, that would be amazing !
Very Nice and smooth launcher, congrats

Thanks for the feedback. The features that can be purchased were split up so that the user only has to pay for what they want, so it's not exactly "expensive", so to speak.
I will be adding the pull down to refresh action, and a feed filter in the next release.
needs google calandar support so your events and reminders show on the feed.
and an option for 24 clock, but overall it looks great, will test for a while

Planned for a future release. I initially debated against this, because it would have been redundant to have app notifications showing up in both the notifications area and the feed, but it looks like some users might want this option. It will be implemented as an opt-in setting.

Looking forward to the next few releases so
Add tasks like Business Calendar from Google Tasks and the option to have the feed as the default page and you'll have my vote. I tired of having to have a widget here, and here, and here. I just want simplicity.

Hope that you'll keep updating and not giving up like flow Home
Congrats ! :good:
Nice!
I would use it if:
- it gets 24 hour support (i know it's coming)
- it gets iconpack support
- it gets the possibility to hide icons from the app drawer
Any update coming soon ?

Exactly my feeling.
Magnesium offers a breath of fresh air in the contextual launcher arena - quite lightweight & offers additional features as compared to other contextual launchers like KISS Launcher (or Flow, Aviate, Blur, etc ...) - I really miss Slidescreen
Areas for improvement:
- customizable default screen (drawer or feed)
- searches should be decoupled from screens & should work the same regardless of the screen they're operated in, for example, searches in the app drawer should also go through contacts etc.
- inability to deselect web searches in the free version makes the search feature useless, as web searches swamp the results & are often prioritized as compared to device results
- the search engine should be configurable due to privacy concerns (most common ones should be added: for example duckduckgo, startpage, bing, google, yandex)
- the free/paid model should be revised - as mentioned by @SuperNès90, I have a feeling you're too bent on monetizing the app/features.
Still, keep up the good job! I'm curious how this launcher will mature.

I make your words mine....
specially the free/paid model should be revised. I think it tends to scare free users to even try your work.
