Hi guys...
Is there any module or app who would allow me to expand the notification panel by sliding down from the middle of the screen? Sometimes it's difficult to reach the top of the screen mostly when I'm typing with one hand.
I know some of you would say to me to install a custom launcher. But I'm actually using a custom launcher that does not support this feature by itself. And despite of it I like this launcher very much... Not willing to change that.
So I want to be able to bypass my launchers "lack of gesture" support... If there is any way that any of you guys know I would be glad if you share. Thanks

Hmm. I don't know of any such "app" or module for this, but this can fix your problems:
Install GravityBox (KK) > Reboot > Set a custom key in the navigation bar > Set it's function to open Notifications Panel.
This doesn't let you "swipe down" from the screen, but atleast you can get to the notifications without having to reach out to the top.

I own the D838 Hong Kong version which came with the 10F software and I have now installed the 20C kdz. Everything works great and I'm loving the device as expected (second one that I have owned) however, on my previously owned LG G2 and LG G3's there was a software implementation from LG which enabled the ability to hide the navigation keys automatically in any app that the user wanted.
Could anybody tell me if this implementation is available in any of the custom roms for this device, or indeed, any of the stock roms which are available for other variants of this device?
It is a fantastic feature which I would really love to have on my G2 Pro to fully utilise the gorgeous, massive screen.
when you run an app or game in full sceen nav bar automatically will be disapeared.. and if not pull down the status bar and touch it.

I'm not quite sure if you understood what I'm talking about? How do I run Twitter/Facebook for example in full screen - without navigation buttons being visible?
If you watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABy2x2z0DRM 14 seconds in, you will see the hide home touch buttons option that I am talking about.
This is from the F350L variant and is also present on several other LG devices. I can't understand why it is not present on my D838 variant it is such a great function to utilise the full screen. I just hope it will be introduced in an update very soon.
Any One Can Port Moto e4 Plus Moto app and Moto Action app for MOTO G4 Plus . coz it has One-hand mode. i am share APP from E4plus link is here. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0vM-_YJzrIPWWpGdzZnSUcza2M
By one handed mode, do you mean where you can shrink the screen? If so, our G4 Plus Moto app already has that function. You can find it under the Moto app > Actions > swipe to shrink screen.
This screen shot is taken on the NPJS25.93-14-8 update (June 2017)
one handed mode, mean is One Button Nav bar . Fingerprint sensor use as a nav bar BACK , MINIMIZE ,Resent .

Ahh, I see what you mean, similar to how the G5 Plus fingerprint sensor can be used to swipe?
I don't know if our fingerprint sensor supports those functions natively anyway (you'll note the sensor is wider on the E4 Plus/G5 Plus than on the G4 Plus), but let's see if anyone can port it.
Any update on this?
Just upgraded from the Moto One Action to the G Stylus, definite upgrade for sure.
One thing that concerns me is that they appear to have removed the One-Button Navigation option for 3rd party launchers, I know 3rd party launchers as a default in Android 10 don't integrate with the gesture navigation as of yet and default to the 3-button option.
The Moto One Action runs Android 10 but had that Moto one-button option, is it hidden or just gone on this newer model?
I'm using the one button/gesture system navigation with the included launcher on the stylus. Worked out of the box. There's a setting under settings, system, gestures, system navigation to enable it.

Again, fully aware that with a stock launcher the default Android 10 one-button nav works fine, I am speaking specifically about the Moto Gestures that allowed their version of one-button nav on Android 10.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about using the included launcher with system navigation gestures on the Stylus since you mentioned the lack of gesture system navigation with a 3rd party launcher. I don't have a Moto One Action so I guess I'm unclear about what referring to. I don't have a Moto Gestures app on my Stylus. I do have a Moto Actions app that includes touch screen & accelerator gestures such as chopping to toggle the flash(light), three finger screenshot, swipe to shrink, etc. Perhaps that's what you're looking for.
Hopefully Google keeps their promise and enables gesture system navigation soon. Then we'll see how long Motorola takes to release an update.

All good, no worries. These features are also on the G7, X4 and the Moto One series, if it was a specific thing to one model I wouldn't even be questioning why those chose to remove actual helpful functions. There's no technical reason for not having them on the newer model(s).

You've sparked my curiosity, what feature(s) are you talking about?

it's not a thing on Android 10-launched Motos, they removed it in favor of Google's gesture navigation

Hi, The issue with the Android 10 Google One Button Navigation is that in the Google version, the longer bar, the back page feature which worked well in the Moto G, shorter bar, does not work in Googles bar.
One example is if you are using the Amazon Shopping app and selected a product to view, you cannot swipe left in the long Google bar to return to the menu as you can do with the shorter Moto G bar. You need to return to the Amazon Home page and then start the search from the beginning again.
This error also occurs within other apps when wanting to swipe left to return to a previous page.
When selecting the longer Google Bar in the Moto G8, the same problem occurs when navigating within an app. Fortunately the Moto G8 affords the option of choosing the Moto G shorter Navigation Bar.
If you swipe left in the longer Google bar, it goes back to the previous screen of the previous app.
Please can someone suggest how to get the shorter Moto G bar back again? We have Moto G7, G8 and G9 phones, the G7 and G8 still have the shorter Moto G bar, the Moto G9 does not have the option to select it in the Navigation settings and we really don't want to go back to the three button navigation. Thank you.

Can someone raise this with the Motorola team? I just returned my Moto G 5G phone because of stupid the android 10 system longer bar navigation. I really wanted Motorola's own one shorter bar nav!!!!
I've been debating this phone vs the g power for more storage, but it seems like the g power has more root support for it and more hacking in general that has been done for it? Anyone that can give me some feedback here? I was hoping there'd be a lot more options for custom ROMs or am I missing something?
To force one button navigation with a 3rd party launcher use adb and enter:
adb shell cmd overlay enable com.android.internal.systemui.navbar.gestural
(to disable: just change "enable" to "disable")

to go back with Google's gesture navigation, you swipe in from either edge of the screen
@tendiez01 - Thank you for that "swipe in from either edge of the screen" suggestion, it works perfectly.
An annoying problem i had with the p30 pro, is that notifications disappear from the lock screen once unlocked. if you then lock again, the notifications are gone. until you unlock and see the notifications in the home menu.
Yes, this is normal Huawei 'feature' and it is very very bad.
Same with all Huawei phones including my P40 Pro.
That is too bad isnt there a option, adb or developer options, to disable this..
With a Pixel 4, you have amazing control over the notifications .. even within apps, there are heaps of options to disable/enable certain types of notifications .. seems very limited with the P40 Pro .. although notifications are generally very broken anyway unless you install microG or GMS
No idea if it can be fixed .. I think it is a Huawei feature, so no fix is likely.
Notifications are broken with micro g and GSM still. You need to use the ice box method for full notifications and enable manual control on apps within the Huawei power management section
I mean its off the screen, but unless you clear it from the swipe down section its not like the notification is completely lost?

Which apps did you have notification problems with after installing microG?
