Android KitKat 4.4 comes with a transparent status bar and navbar, maybe you're been using KitKat now, but if you haven't received and update for KitKat, then don't worry, you still can get a transparent status bar and navbar on Jelly Bean.
Today I Am Guide You How Make status bar & navbar transparent
The first step, you have to root your Android. Please try Framaroot root your Android without a PC.
After that, you need to install Xposed Installer. You can download it here.
Open Xposed, then install the framework, reboot your Android.

If the reboot is complete, open again Xposed, go to Download menu and search for "GravityBox", download it then install it, and activate it throught Modules menu. After finished, reboot your Android.
Now open GravityBox from the app drawer and go to the "transparency management" and setup your transparency level for the status bar and navbar.
Final step, reboot your device and enjoy the transparent status bar and navbar. : D
Note: GrafityBox only works on Vanilla Android. thanks to testrider for the tip on Reddit.

Created at the UOT Kitchen
The attached zip file is flashable and works great.
Go support their awesome kitchen with a donation!
Wow!
Those battery icons look nice.
I'm gonna try it and see how it goes. Thanks................
UPDATE:
I downloaded the zip and let ROM Manager automatically install it.
The .Zip was downloaded But My Evo did a Factory Reset!
UPDATE #2
Tried again manually with Quick Boot and Clockworkmod Recovery,
Installed the .zip and it took this time...........
Works great. Any way to get it without the transparent notification background?
I had a hard time seeing the white numbers in the green background, so I installed the colorbattery.zip and the transparent notification background remained.
I like the transparent background, but if I want to uninstall it do I have to install a previous Recovery prior to it being installed?
Does colorbattery.zip work for the 4.24.651.1 Update?
UPDATE:
It works....
Updated ROM 4,53
Do these mods work with the latest ROM?
I like the battery and usb debugging mods along with the transparant background
For some of you who really like Lollipop on Xperia devices, and for those who really want those navigation bar keys on the bottom, you're in the right thread, because I customized the original Xperia C SystemUI just to give it a little taste of Lollipop, since it can't move from Android 4.2.2 It only changes the navigation bar keys, that's it.
By the way, do this at your own risk, good luck!
Here are the instructions for getting those buttons:
1. Sadly, you need to root your Xperia C. I used Framaroot and it did a good job.
2. Install CWM or some other recovery (not flashing a zip)
3. PLEASE BACKUP YOUR SYSTEM IN CASE SOMETHING HAPPENS, PLEASE!!!
4. Download some File Explorer that has root access, I use ES File Explorer.
5. Download the SystemUI.apk from here and put it in /system/app.
6. Delete your existing SystemUI.apk (Don't worry, if something happens, you have your backup.)
7. Paste the SystemUI.apk in /system/app and put these permissions

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
8. Reboot.
9. That's it.
If you happen to experience a restart when you delete your SystemUI or replace, don't worry. If your status bar and navigation bar disappears, as long as you have your backup, YOU'RE FINE!
Screenshots:
This screenshot is just to show the menu key, it's pretty s*it, but you won't even bother
You can notice here the back_ime or hide keyboard button is a bit up, but I can't be arsed to fix it. Sorry
But in landscape mode, it's fine.
Anyways, that's it, if you want me to make more changes, just lemme know, but remember that I'm a beginner!
THIS HAS BEEN TESTED AND IT'S WORKING!
Today I Will Show You How To Make The Status Bar Look Smaller In 5.1.1 ROM'S
Firstly: You Need Deodexed Rom. I Use Phronesis V2 Note 5 Port.
Secondly: You Need Xposed By Wanam For 5.1.1 Rom's .
If You Dont Know How To Install Xposed On 5.1.1 Go Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960
So After Installing Xposed Go And Open It Then Search For "APP SETTINGS" Then Download It And Activate It Then Reboot
Go And Open App Settings Apk And Search For SYSTEM UI . Move The Small Circle To The Right Then In Dpi Choose The Number You Like I Prefer 360. Then Save it And Reboot.

If You Wish Revert To Stock Dpi Just Write In Dpi "0" And Save

Hey xda devs
my phone is currently dead but i'm going to fix it,and when i fix it ill'want more performance
And i know that some xposed modules takes some ram so i want to make all the mods i have whit xposed to be built in
For example the aosp lockscreen in monster$ rom isn't an xposed module but if i want it in my rom i must install the xposed aosp lockscreen
I want:
A big part of gravity box settings in sys settings
Crt screen off anim and dissolve on animation deactivable from display settings
The same lockscreen options as monster$ rom so ripple effect and aosp lockscreen activable from settings
The trasparency100% in notification panel:when you turn down the notifications panel, the background becomes darker and although it is set to 100% the background will always darker, perhaps I have a screenshot of it

But please tell me how
I want atleast 400mb of ram free
Yes i love editing w/ photoshop
And no isn't amykat
It has some apps of samykat and an s5 systemui highly modded isn't stealing coz it's for personal use
Hello guys, since most people with jellybean rom want to have Kitkat's immersive mode but that option is not available and enabling expanded desktop mode from gravity box [JB] makes apps go full screen but unable to swipe status bar like in kitkat, I decided to create this thread for users who want Kitkat's immersive mode on JellyBean devices.
In this giude I will be telling you how to emulate kitkat's immersive mode
1. Requirements :-
Rooted phone
JellyBean ROM
Xposed Installer/framework installed
App Settings xposed module
Swipe Status Bar (Play Store)
Gravity Box [JB](optional)
2. Method :-
Install App Settings and Swipe Status Bar
Open app settings and select force full screen mode on apps that you want.
Configure Swipe Status Bar the way you want.
Thats it! Now you have close to Kitkat style immersive mode.
3. Downloads :-
Xposed Installer -- http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer
SwipeStatusBar -- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cz.chladek.swipe_status_bar&hl=en
4. Theming Status Bar(optional) :-
You may use Potato Gradient or Tinted StatusBar Mod to theme to your liking.
You may use statusbar transparency manager from Gravity Box [JB].
5. Screenshots :-
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Note :- You can try GravityBox's expanded desktop mode + SwipeStatusBar for the same effect if you want but I don't think that it will work.
