(MOD) Activate Bass on Loud speaker - Xperia Z1 Themes and Apps

Hey guys I just wanted to share I played around with the files and it was so hard to figure out how to get bass on this phone
I could enable temporary the bass with also mixer now I could enable permanently.
U will set the SAMPLERATE of the phone to
Frequencies:
KHZ_192
KHZ_96
KHZ_48
And set FORMAT to
Bit Depth:
S16_LE
S24_LE
Navigate to system/etc/mixerpath.xml
Open and
Scroll down to speaker settings in like in Screenshot
And put these lines
<ctl name="SLIM_0_RX SampleRate" value="KHZ_192" />
<ctl name="SLIM_0_RX Format" value="S24_LE" />
Just add and configure with viper4android
Because the Sony Walkman equalizer don't work after this.
U will hear the bass greatly
Enjoy
PS: it will work on all Kk devices based on Sony firmware
Included
Sony Xperia Z1 Compact
Sony Xperia Z Ultra
Etc
Not sure if it work with cyanogenmod roms just test
Sent from my C6903 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

It actually works, thanks a lot! But now I can't actually adjust the volume, which is a major problem. Have you got any ideas? ?
Edit; Actually , if you turn off clear audio it works again. , also do you think it might work if we add those bits to the headphone section? With a few adjustments.
And you have to adjust The speaker with viper if you have it Volume boosted by the way.

Nope
Only these
KHZ_48
KHZ_96
KHZ_192
And for Format only (this will activate Bass)
S16LE = low bass (nearly no bass)
S24LE = high bass (great bass but with distortion)

Thanks that's cool I will try these values and see if it will change I will update thread with more information for more clarification and I will upload my own modded mixerpath.xml cuz I put everything to limit but without distortion and sound good without quality lose again thanks
EDIT; it don't work I tried so only the bit depth I post and frequency are valid I don't know how to add more values I think it's in kernel? Or I don't know but still main thing we reached to get more bass on loudspeaker and only problem is to reduce the noise and bass strength, just lower volume is not possible cuz u will be not able to hear anything so I hope good devs can do something with these to get clear bass and clear voice playback on this speakers like the g2 or note 3

Yes but it's another section
Go to all mic section
Speaker-mic section
Stereo-mic etc
Everything related to it and change the
ADC Volume .. It have different names
ADC1
ADC2
ADC3
ADC4
ADC5
So most probably it's always at 12 just trigger it to 19
Same for camcorder-mic
You will have better sound record push it to 19 and the DEC3 Volume to 89 normally it's 83 or 82

Exactly what i was looking for, although it's a bit hard to try because of the problem occuring when there's alot of bass around. I'm talking about the recording volume when shooting vids btw. What's the difference between stereo and speaker mic?

Video's, and like i said, a little lower (20-30% maybe?, so if there's alot of bass around, the mic doesn't distort all the way around. I'm also not very good at editing stuff like this, so thanks if you can help with this! I bet there's more people who love a mod like this, since i heard some people talking about distorted sound with vids.

I edit the OP just check I tried all other settings like in the picture but I don't work only the listed one, look
16 bit depth it's to less and
24 bit depth it's to high
So 20 bit would be normal bass and acceptable so maybe one of our developers with more knowledge know how to add more bit depth and frequency? I don't know

I've tried almost all sound mods in XDA . In v7, Acid seems to abandoned Noozxoide. So if you're a Noozxoide fan (audiophile), you're gonna be disappointed. In v5, you get to choose either Awesome or Noozxoide. Meaning, you still got an option to choose. My recommendation: Make a nandroid, delete all current sound mods, try Viper4Android.. High clarity and powerful bass... I installed it on all my devices after I tried it once. It's only a 300kb file with installation instructions in it. To me, the other BIG BRAND sound mods can't even come close...

Megabassbeats for jb v2 is way better than fancy acid sound mod.
As per my experiencing and long term testing I can say that all sound mods practically dont give any differen quality (we dont have dedicated sound chip). Our default system lib files are much capable to give high quality sound. If anybody want good quality sound then use high quality headphones with good music player having wide variety of effective equilizers with deep bass and treble effect. For me poweramp perform best job in music player category.

Go for Xhifi.. No probs to use the ICS file if on jellybean. The instructions are in the zip. Unzip and you need to change 2 system files to .bak and then replace it with their file found in the zip. It written by a Chinese fellow from China. Damn, he's a sound mod talent.
Edit: I used to a big Acid Audio fan too.. Even followed their FB page for news.
I've tried acid audio v5 and also viper4android... but I think acid audio is quite better... I mainly listen to music and I find better sound quality with acid audio...

Acid v5 was good but I found its bass a bit too hard when compared to Xhifi's while Xhifi can more even specific by using its Ho clarity and Lo contour tunings. Too bad, I'm not into FX..That's like really going into details just using device's speakers. Anyway, Best of all, it doesn't leave tons of files on your device.

I'm using XHiFi now.. The sound seems to be pretty good.. And like mentioned above just three files replaced and so simple no mess like the others..
Anyway I have always had the issue of audio skipping.. That is, there is random short pause which I find really annoying.. I've tried nearly all mods, except acid and none of them seem to solve a the issue..
It would be great if someone has a solution to that.. I'm on cm10 and poweramp. Audio buffer setting is max in poweramp..

****, me too. Gonna research on this and keep you updated.
Btw, I used awesome beats for a while on poweramp and realized it sucks pretty bad, a good poweramp config wins every time. That beats crap is just overhyped dr dre fanboy ultra treble/bass
How am I supposed to UNINSTALL the previous mods? The post also says to remove dsp manager I guess. I've installed the zip version V5.. I can see the 'acid audio technology enabled' notification but no percievable difference in sound and it's not that I'm not good at listening. Is there any possibility that it doesn't get installed properly even though I can see the acid audio app? And yes I'm on cm9 a14 and the nicsptl a11 kernel.

actually quite hard when you answer the way you did. when you have 2 or 3 possible solutions above your post and you just answer 'it worked' one finds it hard to tell which worked. and then responding the way you did full of arrogance when he asks you what you meant is counter productive to say the least. what's more in a post where YOU asked for help.

All beats mods implement "beats" which is marketing hype and not much else of substance other than some eq changes so why you'd want a beats mod is beyond me.
There are about 5 threads about this in various forums, use the search function. Beats is just an equalizer same with their headphones, it is nothing special, rootsu got the post before I did =D

It can. There is an extra loudness option for the speaker. For headphones and bluetooth you can play around with adjusting the gain and master limiter.
I've been playing with viper for a little bit. It's definitely more comprehensive than the stock equalizer, and it takes care of the (imo)low volume, but it's a little overwhelming. I have no idea what half of the settings are for. It works well, though.
Also, I had to download an older version for the drivers to work.
Thanks for the input!

[MOD] Volume Boost on all Default Sounds by 150%/200%/Full Dynamic Range

I thought the audio files could use some volume boost to better show off these sexy speakers
These are the default audio files which have been modded. This is NOT a system wide audio hack. For that check out Viper4Android.
This will overwrite files on /system/media/audio partition and should be flashed in recovery only.

Flashed it with Philz but didn't really notice any noticeable boost in sound after. My music still sounded more or less like it did before the flash with the volume cranked up to the max.
It's not to make your speakers louder but it makes your audio files themselves louder as in stock ringtones, alarms, ui, etc.

Not sure why some are saying no difference ... revert to stock play any one tone at full volume, then flash the mod and play again ... if you dont feel the difference, then this mod is not necessary for you anyways
Added new edited set ...this one has been bumped to Full Dynamic Range without causing any sound crackling (on some tones with 150%) on the speakers.
Think of it like 120% volume bump but all sounds stay withing a decibel limit to prevent crackling.
I think its better than the 150%

This is the settings I use.
But before I checked Clear Audio+, I boosted the bass, because I listen to tons of house, classic disco and jazz.

before im on jb 4.1.2 and i love my Walkman™ app. But since i updated my phone to kk 4.4.2 and i want to have my Walkman™ back. is it possible??
Ported Walkman in CM11 is sucks and those DSP manager equalizer is sure crap. Alternatively, use shuttle music player on play store. Works great with built-in equalizer.

Absolutely. It is possible. A friend of mine uses Walkman on Nexus 4. Simply download it, someone must have uploaded it.
But porting Sony's in built-in sound enhancements is tricky.

You're welcome.
I have it almost max since the volume is a bit lower than what I want. I use the earphones that came with the phone and a MDRZX100A, both volumes were pretty low with the latter unfortunately lower. Dunno if using other headphones would make the volume louder. I also use SoundBoost app.

Well I belive that is best set up for it:
400 at +3
1k at +1
2.5k at +3
6k at +5
16kHz at +7
Clear Bass at +4
Hope that helps u guys, I've been use that set up for a while n it's good for sound, u have bit touch on bass but not too much of it n bit of louder kick, it's all balanced quite well, so yeah enjoy ur music like ;p
Mine. I found this settings long time ago and it was surprisingly awesome! I flashed @androidexpert35 's port and it works perfectly on latest cm12.1. All of the function work well!
