For weeks i tried many roms on my phone, i almost flashed all kinds of roms. But i wasn't satisfy with any of them. Every Rom had some good features and some bad features. Finally i decided to cook my own Rom for myself, i begun to research about how to cook a Rom, for days and days i was learning how to cook a Rom, finally i managed to cook my first Rom, biftor Rom v1.0 . V1.0 was my first Rom and i think it was what i wanted. But i begun to cook my second Rom, I've worked on it for many days. A: Update your recovery (Get the latest Philz from here)

A: If your Ext SD is exFat, then format it as FAT32 don't forget to backup your data.

Q; ART doesn't seem to be working?
A: To activate ART go to Dev Tools/Developer options/Select runtime and ensure "Use Art" is selected. Don't forget to reboot!!!
If that doesn't work - then uninstall Xposed before changing to ART as Xposed doesn't work with ART. (see here)
Q: ART is not working, causing application issues I have xposed framework installed
A: Art should work fine as long as if you are not using xposed framework
Use root explorer
Navigate to system/bin
Check to see if you have 'app_process.orig'
If so delete it and try ART again

A: ART stands for ‘Android RunTime’ and its job couldn’t be more important: it runs the apps on Android devices.
ART replaces ‘Dalvik’ (named after the Icelandic village where creator Dan Bornstein’s ancestors lived) which has performed this task since Android first appeared.
As you might expect Dalvik was getting very long in the tooth and it wasn’t that great in the first place. In giving it the boot users will get two significant benefits
1. More Speed
Dalvik uses the ‘Just-in-time’ (JIT) process which means it has to transform app source code into an executable program every time it starts.
Android apps have to run through a conversion each time they are started.
By contrast ART uses the ‘Ahead-of-time’ (AOT) process and this compiles (aka does the conversion) when an app is installed.
Using this method apps can launch up to twice as quickly which will have a dramatic effect on the sense of speed of your phone.
2. Better battery Life
AOT processing is making app-launch a less intensive process, so your phone doesn’t have to work as hard which increases battery life.
Using your phone you won’t see a major difference, but significant gains will come in standby as apps which run in the background will now do so more efficiently
Downsides of ART
1. It uses more storage Or to be more precise your installed apps will use more storage – roughly 10% to 20%.
This is because the pre-compiled apps which allow ART to run so quickly and efficiently have to be installed this way which makes them bigger compared to Dalvik’s on-demand method.
For those with a lot of apps installed this could take a significant chunk of your available space, they will also take a little longer to install.
2. Some apps are incompatible on Android 4.4.2, if you do find a key app that doesn’t work it is possible to switch back to Dalvik.

It seems if I on a Samsung 4.4 kit kat boot loader. I cannot flash AOSP or it will brick my device. Only if I'm on 4.3 jellybeans, then I can flash AOSP. There is no way to return to 4.3 somehow : /

my suggestion is just flash latest philz recovery thats 4.4 then flash aosp Roms on it!
shouldn't have any problem!

I don't see it listed but is there an option for aosp browser? This TW browser is garbage and I won't use chrome until I have the ability to open pages zoomed in like the aosp ones. I hate how chrome opens in overview

Although this firmware is DME6 it does not contain the kernel or modem that come with it. These have been replace by older versions to avoid loss of imei when rolling back to older firmware.
If you are already on dme6/dmf2/dmg1 etc install with Rom Customizer and unselect install with kernel and install with modem. This will stop you from having imei loss...
If on dmc3/dme1 or older install everything...
FOR ALL USERS:
BEFORE FLASHING CARRY OUT TWRP AND EFS BACK UPS AND STORE THEM SOMEWHERE SAFE!!
Also, you must wipe on install to enable new mods, no wipe = no work = no support

HOW TO FLASH V4?
Flash via ROM-Customizer coming from any rooted ROM:
1. Put the ROM on your internal storage
2. Open ROM Customizer and choose flash file from SD
3. Ficeto improved the flash config so it works with rom Customizer now. So just choose the ROM from your internal storage and it will present you with the rom config in a pop up window .
If you are on dme6 / dmf2 / dmg1 untick kernel and modem.
This will stop you from having imei loss...
If on dmc3/dme1 or older you can install with kernel and modem.
4. Make sure you WIPE when installing or ZTE/Teardrop lock will not work......remember to back up first

Please Add Android 4.2.1 camera with photosphere like in Omega ROM, this will be an amazing feature to this rom.

Man, this is just awesome! Just the JB look I kept trying to get. The whole 9 yards! It's like an AOSP rom, but with Samsung stuff. The customization options are awesome too. I'll play with it and hope I don't find any bugs (just like in AOSP).

hold three button combo to reboot into recovery when it freezes, when it reboots it should install, other manual flash from there. I will speak with our app dev regarding the freezing

This looks good, if i have understood this ROM is based on stock but with a AOSP feel and look? Gonna flash this and give some feedback.
