ATT Visual Voicemail - G3 Themes and Apps

Pulled the ATT visual voicemail ODEXED apk from the LG G3 D850 TOT since the app is disabled for the Korean version.
1---->Not flashable zip.
2---->Download, unzip, and either save to SD and install or manually copy the apk and set the permissions or use your favorite apk installer.

I was able to get this to work on CloudyG3 rom for the G2. But only by copying strictly the apk. With the .odex file it kept FCing. Thank you!

So I should thank @ZigZaGz on the AT&T forum for an app that is here for AT&T...?..nice ?. But thank you for an idea. I will go ahead and create a thread on the AT&T G2 forum for those users running G3 ROMs.

I have installed this on my T-Mobile LG G3 on AT&T network, confirmed working. Thanks!

I installed it on my G2 running Couldy G3 v2.0, and it freezes whenever I receive a voicemail. The text transcription seems to work fine, but I am unable to play the audio.
I installed it by clicking on the apk. Should I install it the way Swetness did it (by copying the file and setting permissions)?

has this been confirmed to be working on cloudy G3 V2??? unable to play the audio.

That's a good question. I have no evidence or thread that says yes. Perhaps I was the first tester.

I have tried, but it didn't work

You are the man ZigZaGz!!! Randomly found this thread searching for ATT voicemail apps. Just changed from an iPhone 5 to my Nexus 4, this is working great for me except it is dark as hell, can barely make out the text at full brightness but for sure beats dialing 611 every time. Running latest Paranoid rom, installed via Solidexplorer like normal apk's.

Ok, so will this work only if you are on the AT&T network?
I'm actually in the opposite situation. I have an AT&T phone (D850) but I haven't decided which network to go with. I was leaning towards T-Mobile? Will this work with T-mobile or does it need to be on the AT&T network for it to work?

Awesome! I switched my D851 from t-moblecchh to at&t and Visual Voicemail was the only thing I still needed. This apk was just what the doc ordered!

[App] Verizon VVM app for the Charge (request fulfilled)

I'm on Gummycharged 1.9rc2.3 and I need the verizon vvm apk for the charge, can't find it anywhere and the one on the Market does not work. Any help would be great. If it is for some reason can't be posted on here can you PM me a link.
Edit: thanks to a point in the direction I got the app installed
For anyone else:
You will need to paste the .apk in the /system/app folder of your phone it will not install otherwise and then you will need to reboot:
VVM apk: Link
you may also need the VZWsig apk to sign into the VV, install as normal:

check out Nitros' GB Eclipse thread, he has downloads for removed stock apps and it may be there... however I think its a CWM zip so i'd extract it and push the .apk to your phone as CWM has a tendency to wipe your phone on the new Gummy rom
blazing through on my VZ Droid Charge 4G
You can install it through toolbox.
EDIT: Nevermind, didn't see you were running RC2.

Thanks works like a charm.
Check the OP for link to app.
I'm on RC b3 and when I start vvm it opens to a black screen and stays there. ?? Man I need this back
Edit. I got it. It worked after I installed the other apk attached above. Was trying it without it.
i tried this and VVM freezes and crashes when I load it. Ive deleted, uninstalled, etc. at least a dozen times. I can log in and VMs but when I hit play or anything else, it freezes then crashes.
Any ideas? I'm running gummy charged 2.0
Try updating to 2.1 and using toolbox to install VVM

Sprint Visual Voicemail v5_2_0_24 - Flashable via recovery on Gingerbread AOSP Roms

This is the latest Sprint OTA Visual Voicemail that is flashable via recovery on AOSP roms for root users only. This will work if you do not want to use Google Voice or YouMail for your voicemails. I have tested it on CyanogenMod Nightly #255 and it works great for me.
There is one thing that you need to do after flashing the updated.zip, or if you already have another version of Visual Voicemail installed just install the lastest vnotes app from your sdcard using the file manager of your choice, (apparently does not work if you push vnotes to /system/app with adb or flashing it in a zip in recovery)
All of these apps are pulled from my own RUU rom that is modded for root users.
I will continue to update these as new updates arrive.
Enjoy!

Sparkso, VVM has been updated to 5.2....heres the apk...i was sure i had updated my own post with this, but here it is, you can push it to your zip if you like
theres now an option to move vm to the sd card
The only way that I could get it working was by using TB to restore the new v. from my sense nand. Maybe you can get it working thru the zip?
Sent from my PG06100 using xda premium
I just updated my VVM through my stock RUU rom last night but maybe it needs to be updated again. I pulled the latest vnotes and voicemail app unless I pulled the wrong VVM.apk if there was another one on data partition that I didn't notice. I restore and check it out though and report back.
ok so I pulled vnotes.apk from the zip and posted it as a separate attachment and redid the .zip to flash the visual voicemail app. However if you already have a older version just install the newest vnotes.apk from the sdcard using a file manager.

More than likely this not working on android 4 is because this is a system app. Once htc and sprint make a update for the evo or this phone we'll be able to use newer versions of the app that will work and be compatible on android 4.

Sprint Voicemail update doesn't work...
I am using [ROM] Synergy [RLS1] [8/5/11] (NON-GODMODE)
can I flash this zip to get my Voicemail v5_2_0_24 working? or is there another zip for that? please let me know ASAP otherwise I hear the only other option is to revert back to my stock rom then update, backup with TB and restore to Synergy....

if you really need to know that bad. Make a backup first then flash and see if it works. If it doesn't, well you got a backup to go to
I don't run Synergy rom personaly...I just posted this thread for for aosp roms (not sense) because "most" sense roms already include visual voicemail...But your more then welcome to try it out and let us know.

First off I noticed your posting on the Evo 4G forums Synergy...This is the Evo Shift 4G which is a completely different phone. If you have a Evo Shift then post on the Synergy thread in this forum and not Evo 4G...If you don't have a Evo Shift you probably shouldn't be posting here lol.

It should if you have the additional LIB file. I haven't tried it myself.
I pushed it, changed permissions, deleted the old one - and I have no option for SMS like the prior leaked one.
Anyone else?

Google left out the APNs for VZW in the new Hangouts app. This is the app recompiled with the Verizon APNs added back in. You will need root for this app, it is not signed.
You guys should all know the routine by now. Backup your old apk then push this one to system/app and fix permissions, then restart.

It would be nice to have a better/detailed explanation on how to install. This way we receive a larger response from users installing and giving us their feedback if it worked or not. Just my two cents.

Use a file manager. I use root explorer (have since 2010!!!).
Navigate to /, aka root. Look for 'system'. Go to 'app'. Pathway is: /system/app
Find hangouts.apk. Rename to hangouts.apk.bak. Paste the apk from download. Change permissions to match the others. If using root explorer, it's:
XX-
X--
X--
Reboot.

Secure/Blocked box

Just recently came from sprint as my company wanted a change. I have noticed that our device does not have the secured and blocked boxes in the messaging app. Any ideas how to gain access to them again or what has to be done to get them back into the device
I've been asking for this and no answers yet. Even intl version has it and on HTC main website.
I tried pulling the message.apk from a Sprint Rom and had no luck when I flashed it so I am not sure if I am doing it wrong or if there is something in the framework preventing it

I bet it's just a simple xml file edit to enable it but would have no idea where to look for it. I wouldn't flash Sprint unless u don't use VVM.
