Adios fit users :'( - Samsung Galaxy Fit GT 5670

Hey guys, finally the time has come for me to leave this thread. I bought nexus 5 at last and hence i will be moved to that forum. Its been 3years since i bought this device and spent with xda for atleast 2 and half years . Those were the days where development used to be on full swing. I used to check our device forum everyday to see updates from our devs. I think most of them bought new devices and left this forum. So, that's it. Take care everyone. I sincerely hope that you too would get new device at some stage Until then, help fellow members who ask for help.

True. i still use it with Cm7 offcourse. I bought nexus 7 so using gfit for call n Whatsapp purpose only. There was a time when we donated to TheWhisp for our device's ICS update. Gone r those days.

Those days used to be so much fun especially while we are still waiting for ICS stable build where maclaw used to be developer. Even many of us donated to him i think. Anyways, i'm gonna miss all the fun times spent here :'(

I'd just like to thank everyone!

Hi I would just like to thank everyone that has helped me on this forum the Samsung Galaxy S 4G has been my first very phone and when I got it I already knew what I wanted to do with it which was install a custom rom but didn't know much about the procedures and had a lot of help from the community here at XDA. I am kind of sad that I will be returning this phone back to the Tmobile retailer because I will be missing all of you guys that are so helpful to me and everyone else, but also happy that I will be getting a newer phone (having the SGS4G for under a month). Reasons I am returning is because currently I pay a overpriced plan for features I barely even use so will be getting a cheaper plan and buying a phone by itself, for whatever phone I will be getting I can at least hope that community will be half as helpful as the members on this section!
I like to especially thank some people who have really took the time to help me out.
The first guy that helped me with rooting and such is Fbis251!
I received a very great if not the most help from thomas.raines, a lot of other people I like to thank too are dsexton702, JuLes' MostWanted, DnickDominic, RaverX3X, lumin30, and Im sure I'm missing a lot of people!!!
Shout out to Raver's miui rom never got to try that but man the preview screenshots look sexy!! Also was waiting on airfluip's 4.0 version but I am sure the wait is worth it guys will be amazing as well!
THANKS GUYS!! I KNOW THIS THREAD IS NOT NECESSARY I READ SOMEWHERE ELSE BUT I JUST WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW I AM THANKFUL AND I KNOW THE DEVS WILL KEEP ON BRINGING US MORE AMAZING STUFF THANK YOU DEVS!!!
I just like ti say im keeping my phone my plan now is 20 dollars and my phone cost me 320.

Hey man that sounds great, I cannot wait to try!

Thank you and Goodbye

So hear I am 10 months after I brought this amazing phone, I am planning to upgrade tomorrow with a Galaxy S 2. I must say this phone has been great, a hell of a lot better than my previous phone ( 3Gs ) and I loved the display quality, but the time has come when i require a bigger screened phone and a faster processor. So im writing this just to thank you guys and girls for the opportunity to be in such a great community of enthusiasts and devs. This was my first experience with an Android phone and i must say i enjoyed it that much i have since brought a android tablet an d PMP device. So thank you for the kindness in these forums, and for the great amount of knowledge i have learnt in just under 1 year about Android and the system, I have even tried to port my own ROM (dint go well) lol . So thank you for your understanding and great advice. These forums over the past year (which i visit daily) have been a great place to be. Im proud to say that I have been part of the HTC Desire S community.
Special thanks to :
@proxuser
@Virtuous
@Superkid
@mmmcfc
@shrome99
and other i forgot to mention
I will miss you all ! you guys have made my first Android experience 1000% better .

Thanks for the Good Times Guys :)

Thanks for all the custom roms and development that's been going on in this forum since the desire S release. I've had my desire S for about 14 months now and I've been following this forum for about a year. Just like to say I'm gonna miss it. I've had great help with my issues and there has been so many fantastic roms. I hope you get the kernel source soon I've just got the One S and I'm selling my desire S so thanks guys. Anyone else making the same move with me any time soon?
Good bye mate I personally wanted a One S, but the one in India has an S3 chip and I wanted the S4. Plus, it's much costlier than I expected, so I'll stick to the Desire S. Enjoy your new phone
Another one bites the dust!
See you around! Enjoy your new device! don't forget to pop into the OFF TOPIC thread and let us know how you are getting on and what you make of your new device.
Jelly .. :3 .. See you around mate!
I'll see you around guys. Cheers for the send off! I may keep glancing back at this forum to try and help a few guys if they have issues

Farewell

So my new Nexus 5 arrived in the mail today but I'll be keeping my blaze as a spare phone I'll still be an active member of this community, and I just wanted to say thanks to all the developers for this device not just the ones we have now but to the ones from the past too... @InkSlinger420 my blaze is available for "dangerous" "risky" "wip" etc flashes... Also if any member needs help with a problem on their blaze feel free to pm me because I learned and know a lot about the phone.

Same with me.. Sadly. Blaze will be an extra/spare phone to me now. Hopefully this phone will last long thanks to the amazing devs here. New phone came for the little bro. He's no longer using the blaze. Been a great and fun time here. Will be in here, just stalking . And helping lol. Thanks everyone for the support on this phone!

I don't mean this response to sound mean, but it probably will.
Stop asking and do it yourself!!!!
When I first bought my T210R, there wasn't even a Galaxy Tab 3 forum. I (and a few others) had to request that a forum be made for us. Once we had a forum, that was really it. Nothing was available except questions. No developers. We eventually got one good developer who helped us with using pre-rooted firmware and he released stock-based rom, but we still didn't have even a custom recovery.
I had practically no "real" knowledge of how anything worked (still only very limited), but I took it upon myself to learn and get something working. Soon, @hkjr asked the great @ketut.kumajaya to help us out and with many attempts, we finally had a working recovery. I've learned a few more things along the way. I've learned to compile kernels, recoveries, and roms from source. I didn't know any of this a year ago.
So, if an (almost) 40 year old, with a full-time job, married, with 2 kids (4 and 2) can still learn, you can too.
I look forward to seeing what you produce.:good:

Well said and I can relate. I am 40 and have twins (8). Early on, I knew nothing and when I got a device to replace my Atrix4g - I went to town on on the Atrix... all thanks to @Th3Bill. I learned a lot from him and tinkered with my device for months. As with everything and anything, as soon as I dropped the Atrix and it never turned back on, I moved on and stopped learning.... I got the Tab3 for my twins but would have never guessed that they would be asses about source code/drivers/etc and the degree of difficulty. Thanks to @CodyF86 and @ketut.kumajaya - I never saw a reason to give up my Tab2... I love my Tab2. At some point, I'll have to repay all my teachers back by looking at, helping out, where ever for the Tab3....
Dave - awesome work!!!!

Hey bud! Noticed the mention. Thanks for the credit. It's been a while since I've been on the Atrix threads, but it's always good to see that people remember me from there. I'm on the HTC Ones (both m7 and m8) now. Still tinkering on here, but with 3 kids, homework, etc...been a lot slower than I was back in the day. Still miss my pals on the Atrix and Photon (had a good crew there). Take care!
Well, I'll stop hijacking the thread now
