After wiping cache, wiping factory storage, wiping dalvik. I flashed the room installed Gapps.
It worked but my files are not shown although it still occupies the same space.
I already tried searching "after installing custom rom" to find relevant topic.
Sorry for the trouble and thanks for those who could help!

Hello all. I'm pretty new and I hope this is the right place to open this thread. I did many searches, tried a lot of ways but i can't fix my problem.
Well the problem is that Everytime that i flash a new rom (in the Restoreway (Found on youtube) And in the .zip way) after installing the rom, and rebooting from xRecovery it start an endless loop and i don't really know how to fix it.
I tried many methods. Like wiping cache, factory reset and aaaall the other wipes.
so, ill ask you guys, please help me cause i can't find a way to flash this thing. :\
thank you so much.
hey dude i suggest you flash back your phone to stock rom
That fixes all the problems in the system and after that you just root it again
and install everything you want but be carefull in what you uninstall!
Try this...
I would suggest GSB ROM 3.6. Been using this rom since since version 2.2 and had very little problems. It is important that you follow Sheds instructions to the letter. It is very fast and basically trouble free. You can get it here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944430
install ruu ?
do a factory rest ..else try stockroms
what i'll do is try to wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache before i flash a new ROM... if it still fails then i will do wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache and factory reset before i flash new ROM...
my last resort will be to flash stock ROM then flash custom ROM again...
Hi there!
I'm trying to install CM9 but I only get the status 7 error.
Flashed Kernel (FXP130 and 131 with same results), factory default, cache and Dalvik, everything erased, plus over CWM, formatted system, data and cache (inside mount option).
After all that, tried to install, but without any success.
Have done everything, searched every topic about it, but no clue.
I'm using an Arc S (LT18a running with Doom Kernel and Arconium 4).
Any help hold be great!
Thanks!

Same problem to me!
Hello all. I know this is a noob question and Im sorry, but I need to ask.
When Im flashing a custom rom (going to try EOS again) what exactly do I need to wipe?
Im using TWRP. I know that I need to wipe the Cache, Dalvik Cache and system. Do I also choose the Factory Reset option? How about Internal Storage? Then there is the Format Data option. Which of these should I do?

If you do a factory reset, you don't have to worry about wiping anything else.
As for what to wipe for installing a custom ROM, it depends. EOS recommends a factory reset when you are flashing their ROMs going from any other type of ROM, including stock. If your on ICS, to jellybean, factory reset. 4.1 to 4.2, factory reset. One nightly to the newer one, you don't have too.
Internal storage is not something you want to wipe... that is any pictures, files, music etc. etc. that you have on the tablet, it will be the same as when you unlock the bootloader, you lose EVERYTHING!! Factory reset, you won't lose anything that isn't on the system partition.
Make sure you are on the latest version of the recommended recoveries
Perfect. The information you gave is exactly what I needed. Thanks Draxin.
I am kind of a noob and was looking for some help. I currently have my TF300t Unlocked and Rooted with stock Jelly Bean version 4.1.1 on build number 10.4.2.13-2012-09-07, also installed the TWRP recovery in order to do this.
My question is can I install the CyanogenMod 10.1 with TWRP or do I need to have CWM Recovery installed instead and if so how should I proceed to accomplish this?
Thanks!
I'm no expert as to wether it usually causes any problems, but I installed the latest nightly build of cm10 a couple of days ago using TWRP and didn't have any problems. Only thing was that I couldn't read an SD card in the keyboard dock while in cm10, not sure if this was something I'd done wrong or maybe cm10 just doesn't support it yet.
I just downloaded to internal storage, wiped cache and dalvik and also factory reset and data wipe (data wipe only because I wanted to clear all the junk off) then just installed from zip as normal. Hope this helps.

How do you like the rom so far, any crashes or annoying buggy stuff?
I have been using custom roms for guite a long time now. I have flashed several different roms and several flashable apps and mods without any major problems.
Until today. I flashed one camera app on top of another. The result was "com.android.phone has stopped".
1. So I first tried to uninstall that app with Rom Toolbox. Didn't help.
2. Then I cleared data and cache from Phone services. Didn't help.
3. Then I booted to recovery and wiped cache. No help.
4. Then I made factory reset, i.e. clean flash of my current rom. That did not help either! Still com.android.phone FC.
Seems that clean flash had still left something somewhere that caused the FC.
5. So I had to wipe EVERYTHING and flash and install and copy and restore all apps and data back to phone. Several hours of a job.
Yep, wiping everything is clean flash, or wipe everything but internal storage (if still problems, delete . Android folder beforehand).

A factory reset isn't a clean flash. A clean flash is wipe system, data, dalvik/art cache. You have flashed the camera app to your system partition, so you have to wipe /system in twrp too (together with /data and /cache if you want to make a clean flash). But in your case it should be enough to wipe system and then reflash your Rom to get rid of your issue

OK, thanks. Maybe in my step 4 above I thought that factory reset was enough but I didn't notice that it does not wipe system. So I went too far and wiped all my data, too.
But earlier when I have flashed different roms and they always tell that you must do clean flash, I didn't wipe system. So I thought clean flash was just factory reset. Still those different roms were working ok. Next time I try to remember wipe system also.
