Hello guys,
I'm experiencing something bad with my HOS. Briefly, yesterday morning I plug the phone from charger at 06.00 am. Play with it for a while and then go to work. Used it at work for a few phone calls until 10.00 am (so 4 hours on fully charge battery). Then at 10.00 am I went into a meeting and left the phone out of my sight for 20-30 minutes. When I came back from the meeting I realize that the phone was closed. I try to open it (power button) but nothing. Press power for 10-30 seconds with volume down - still no effect.
Then I took the charger (the original one that I always use to cherge it) and plug it, left it for 2-3 minutes and press power. The phone starts but all I have is the white screen with HTC logo and if I press the power button + volume down the phone goes into bootloader. That's all I can do with it for now.
I have stock rom, bootloader is locked and I never try to root the phone. Is it any chance to repair it by myself or I have to sent it to the repair shop.
many thanks in advance.

try holding the power button for 10-15 seconds, until all 3 buttons light up and the phone restarts itself. Let go of power button when after 3 buttons light up 3 times and see if that helps?
I've already do that. When I press power nothing happen. I'll have to plug into charger, let it for 2-3 minutes and then press power. The phone starts, white screen with HTC logo appears and then phone restarts and same white screen and .... again and again. If I hold volume down key then the phone enters into bootloader,I can use the options clear storage or factory reset, and restart the phone then same thing happens (white screen with logo and restart by itself). All these only when pluged. If unpluged nothing happen when I press power button.

Might sound silly but have you charged it for more then a few minutes because last time my phone died I had to charge it for about half hour before it would boot right.
I'll try this, but is strange if the phone run out of battery since it was used for about 4 hours since fully charged. Will be back with a feedback. Thanks for the tip.

Ya that's why I said it might be silly but still give it a try. I have seen odd battery drain where it could drain it in a few hours.
I say it's strange because I was on stock rom with same installed apps for about 2 months. Anyway the phone is now charging and I see something different with the led for charging as it turns orange as it should be when charging. Yesterday, when I try to start the phone, plugged in, the led was blinkering somehow. I'll be back with feedback later, I'll let the phone charge until led turns green.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Good news, after keep it to cherge until the led turns green, the phone boot up. I perform a factory reset immediatelly and an sd card clean up and now I'm installing my favourite apps. I'll be monitoring close my phone for the next days to see if sudden battery discharges happens.
Many thanks for your advice @darknites:good:

Np dude. Not sure where the drain is I used apps to look and it showed nothing and only seen it on sense roms and mostly only happened after flashing and setting it up but if you see it just roboot and it should fix it.
my phone is now dead the same way.
battery was fully drained, when turning on it doesn't go further than the bootanimation ( stays at htc one s logo).
Now i have fully charged the battery (green led) and it still doesn't boot up the right way.
Any help? I don't want to run the RUU.

Could try reflashing the rom if that dont work think you going to have too RUU it but use one that has the same Hboot as you got now.
What do you mean by not boot the right way? Can you pass the white screen with Htc logo? Did you try factory reset? Was your phone rooted?

I believe (but can not back it up) that you could have just re-flashed the boot image only. Still 10x probably.. altho that may have been the charging time, not the flashing.. who knows.

Sorry about the caps and i cant boot into download or recovery mode at all.At this point I can Connect the charger and watch what happens.
And the only thing that happens is, I get the charging Symbol(Orange one) and that does not fill either, it just comes progresses to 2 bars (takes 2 seconds) and then Blanks out and this process continues until the Power cable is connected.:crying::crying:
There was no Firmware update or anything else that happened recently. At this point, I reckon its more of a Battery issue rather than a Firmware issue. That said, I will leave the prognosis/Speculation to you since you are the expert.
Thanks in advance !

Hello guys , I am having a serious problem with my Sony Xperia E , it seems to be bricked. Something went wrong , I heard it happens sometimes because of software bug or whatever , and your phone goes into this sleep mode , which won't charge at all. I mean , when I plug it in to charge , the red led lights up (once every 3-4 seconds) untill it finally starts up , but when it starts up it shutdowns since the battery is 0% and not charging. On the internet I could not find any help about Sony Xperia E and this red led error. So , if anyone knows what to do.. Please help me , I'm too lazy to take it to a service and besides I don't got money to spare for it

Hi Cezar and everyone else (this is my first post),
I had the exact same problem and i was sure i bricked my phone beyond repair but there is a way to fix it. So my first thought was to externaly charge my battery but you can't do that, so i came up with a way. You will need to strip one end of the USB cable and separate the black and the red wire. The red wire is positive and the black is negative. Put the two wires between the battery and the positive and negative sockets in your phone (like shown in the pictures [attached]). And now your phone will be charging .
And do not forget, red is the postive, black the negative!
I hope this solves your problem!
P.S. Don't mind the black box, I built it just so i can use it for projects to have a power source, it's just a switch and a LED

Hello,
I was in the exact same situation yesterday with my Xperia J but luckily i managed to fix it, Your battery is able to charge what's happened is it's completely flat like there's no juice left, So what you have to do Plug your charger in via Mains and leave it like that for a good hour or two, Take your phone off charge and push the power button and see if the red led flashes 3 times if it does this means your battery is still flat, So what i did next is plugged it in via USB and put it in flashmode attempting to flash stock rom back onto it, but that just completely failed so then i tried flashing CWM that did get me somewhere my phone booted up after but then it died again so i left it on charge via USB this time for one hour and it was charging as usual i then flashed Stock rom back onto it, it was still bricked after (bootloop) so i flashed it again, and it got my device back to good health, Not sure if any of that made sense but **** it

Thanks for the post and the help , but I have a question , in this way will I still be able to get things from my PC to my device and vice-versa ? or it will make it chargeable only ?
And also , is this the only way to deal the problem ? And do you have any ideea what causes this ?
Hi cezar,
Just keep your phone on origenal charger and cable for an hour. This should work.

Well with this method you will need a spare USB cabel for data transfer/flashing because this one will be just a USB on the one side and stripped wires on the other.
This is the only way I found how to deal with this problem, you could always find someone with the same phone so that he can charge your battery for you.
This problem is a symptom of a soft brick. I guess you flashed a ROM that isn't stable so you found yourself in a loop. My advice is to do one of the things I said and in the future flash nee ROMs with at least 50% battery so you don't find yourself in this situation!
P.S. Try SONYs Emma, thats a cute little program for flashing stock ROMs especially in situations like this one.

hmm I just thought about this. I do have indeed a custom ROM , but this didn't happen in process of flashing. just randomly , a month maybe I after cyanogenmod 11. I was installing a WALKMAN Mod while my phone is Low Battery (About 14%), while the mod installing a wipe my sweat using my phone in the edges(LOL ), after a minutes my phone turned off but i did i not see it turning off, after i turned it on it was nothing, the power button part was actually hot, after i inserted a new sim and waited for an hour, my phone vibrated but nothing showed up i removed the battery and boot it again but there was no vibration. After a couple of hours i asked Brother (Previous Owner and Experienced the Problem)if he still knows how to fix it, he said just throw your phone down but not pretty far, i did what he said and i turned on my phone and a red LED light showed up 3 times (indicates its low battery), and the connected to the loptop to restore to stock but the loptop can't recognize the phone and the phone still isn't showing up. :crying:

I haved this issue 2 month ago tried everyway is possible to fix it but always failed, I think it's because battery,if. You plug your phone to charger more than 6 hours the led switch to red and if you hold power button you will see a empty battery icon but the problem is come from hardware not software trust me.
The only thing I done is just went to Sony warranty service and gave them my phone and they switched my (unlocked)phone with a locked phone.

because of your green flashing light. normally the light should stay on while charging or, blink 3 times if the battery is empty. but random flashes are a sign for a broken board.

If you're lucky and it's battery, then order battery from aliexpress and some stickers for back cover. If u do it right, then waterproof will remain (but it wouldn't risk too much).
If you're not so lucky try to find xz premium with broken screen on eBay and use it as donor for mainboard, as I doubt u will be able to find it cheap or at all.
