Please see attached. While the tablet is plugged in, once fully charged the screen turns on and stays on like in the attachment. How do I fix without a factory reset? It hasn't always done this.

Good lord I feel like an idiot. I don't remember turning that on. Thanks for the response. Case closed.
I'm glad dodo99x responded before Samsung support did because this is what they told me to do:
Thank you for contacting Samsung. I understand that the Tablet displays color when it is fully charged. Thank you for helping by providing screen shot of the issue. To isolate the issue, please press and hold power button for 50 seconds and check for the issue. If the issue persists, please reset the Tablet by following the instructions mentioned below:
Please note that the reset process will delete all the personal data. I recommend you to take a backup of the personal data on an external hard drive.
After backup, please follow the steps below to perform Factory Reset:
-Please press and hold the power button for 30 seconds and turn off the tab.
-Press and hold Power button and the Volume button which is near to the power button. The Android system recovery menu appears.
-Press the Volume Up or Down button to select “wipe data/factory reset”, and then press the Power button to make your selection.
-Press the Volume Up or Down button to select “Yes – delete all user data”, and then press the Power button to make your selection.
-When the reset is complete, press the volume Up or Down button to select “reboot system now”, and then press the Power button to make your selection.

Uugh... Standard canned response. ie: "Did you reboot?", "Yes?", "Reformat your device. "
So stupid.
Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
That's what happens when you ask a question to people who are hired off the street with no knowledge of technology, read off a computer-based manual and aren't even officially working for the company.
All large companies outsource their customer service. Asking a tech-related question of them is a severe waste of time.
I learned my lesson. I'll always seek user forums even if it means getting flamed for being stupid before going to manufacturer support.

How do you set the green star "My favorite" button the VzW tp2?
On the "getting started" app that launches when I hit it, I follow the link to
a 2nd screen that lists 7 rows:
Send Key (Hold) - voice command
Button - <context menu>
button - <today>
button - <context menu>
button - <context menu>
button - <context menu>
Favorite - PIAgenda
The last one I updated to try and launch my application. But I get an error
stating "Each program button must have a unique button assignment. Please
Select a different button assignment".
There are 7 hard/physical buttons on the tp2, but I'm not sure its referring
to those. How on earth do I get that green star to launch what I want?

I had this same problem with a Sprint TP2. Now I know you probably don't wanna hear this... but after contacting HTC, they told me it shouldn't be that way and before they would even help me further, they wanted me to do a hard reset. After the heard reset, though, it cleared and, so far, I haven't had the "Each program button must have a unique button assignment. Please Select a different button assignment" error, YET.
I cannot be certain this would work for your TP2 (or Tilt 2, as I think it's called at Verizon), but is an Option.

Hard reset.. yeah that would be hard. I dont have a "Backup" solution yet. so nothing is really saved. I did install all my apps, except pocket informant on the SD card, but I doubt stuff would work after a hard reset. I've not really come across some really strong recommendation on a decent backup and recovery app.
That said. I just somewhat blindly changed some of the "button" settings and things are working. I dont know what all those "settings" or for on the tp2. if you navigate to that screen what is listed in your settings now?
Since the reset, I've only had one option in there... that is Send Key (Hold) - voice command.
As for a back-up option... I would sync your photos, app install files, and any music that you don't have on your computer already to your computer (via ActiveSync (downloaded from Microsoft) or Mobile Device Center (Included with Vista and Win7) or some other program of your choosing).
Then I would goto http://myphone.microsoft.com/. There you can download the Microsoft myPhone app. After installation, it will ask you to log in to your windows live account (usually the same as an MSN.com, live.com, hotmail.com e-mail address). Then it will ask you what you want to back up, tell it documents, contacts, and text messages. It bing your first time backing it up, may take a while.
Once that is finished and is confirmed that it has backed up (app on phone will tell you if there are any errors), do a hard reset.
After the Hard reset, reinstall the Microsoft myPhone. Log in with the same Windows Live ID as before and it will sync all data on the server to your phone.
Then it is only a matter of checking to see if that cleared the problem (only one button assignment, or more if your carrier programed it that way, contact them to be sure). Install your apps one at a time, checking the button assignment program after each instal/initial run of your apps. If it show back up after installing a certian app, then it is probably the one causing the problem.
It it doesn't show back up, then problem solved.
I do hope this helps ya.
I had this problem too. It wouldn't even let you switch to the keyboard backlight.
But if your on Verizon, it has been fixed with MR1 (WM6.5).

I am on Verizon. MR1? that's the same at WM6.5? Perhaps it will be fixed once VzW actually releases their WM6.5 for the TP2

You could also just click on each of the "context menu" options and select "none". No hard reset necessary. The reason why the hard reset worked for the previous poster is because it may have defaulted to the way it was before the settings were touched. All I had to do is make sure the "Context Menu" buttons said "None" and presto. All done with no errors and no hard reset required. Hope this helps.

http://www.talkandroid.com/13268-secret-codes-for-your-android-phone/
^theres the link.
the code that i am interested in is:
*#*#7594#*#*
-This code will change the “End Call / Power” button action on your phone. By default, if you long press the button, it shows a screen asking you to select any option from Silent mode, Airplane mode and Power off.
why wont this code work for me(us)?
thank you.
p.s.-is there any other way to reach the aformentioned goal?
First off, not to be a location nazi but this belongs in Q&A
Second, you can get rid of the second prompt (the one asking you to confirm) in cm6. So when you select reboot, or power off, it does it instantly w/out asking okay/cancel.
Also if you're not running an aosp rom, it might be available on a sense_ui rom so you could try there. I dunno if thats true or not seeing as i personally never use sense
anyone else...with information?
thank you thank you
Anyway how you can save draft SMS? Its driving me nuts lol
Not to my knowledge. And to be honest I'm glad there's none. Sometimes when you're in the middle of writing a text and that person calls, or work calls, or something comes up, etc. It's nice that you don't have it building up in the draft folder, which you have to take the time to go and clear out.
It's honestly like they did a ton of research on what would make a mobile experience realllly great.
The way you can use "drafts" is by hitting the back button until you get back to your message you were writing, then your text that you entered will still be there.
So for example: 1) Writing a text, 2) hit Windows key, 3) check email, 4) hit back key twice, 5) continue your text message.

your example works of course, but it's not so good on android i sometimes used drafts to make quick notes and i could get back to them quickly. now the only way to get back to the message is to hit the back key god knows how many times, because when i do this:
write a text > hit windows key > do other things > hit messaging tile > the message is gone
but it won't bother me anymore, i'm going to download a nice notes application soon
anyways, my mozart is by faaaaaaaaar the best phone i ever had even with those missing features, but we're going to get them sooner or later

This is will have to do, many thanks...
i guess like the previous poster said using a note application is one way, the only bad thing about that is copying the text is impossible into an SMS ....
I just wished there was more to messaging, each to its own

You don't have to. Open Office and go to "OneNote". It's an amazing note-taker, and you can pin the individual notes to your start screen.
Free application dubbed Kwik SMS, in the Marketplace.
I have been using the android phone since it's inception aka Tmobile - G1. Only now I have understood the real power of android. Over a period of time I discovered some simple tricks & tips some of which I got to know by other android users.
I have tested this on my Samsung Galaxy and I believe it would work on any other android phone.
Visit Top Ten android Tips and Tricks
I would love to get more tips from other readers here.
Thanks
Being new to smart phones in general and to android specifically, I appreciated you sharing your "Tricks and Tips".
Your screen shot tip didn't work for me. When I press the back button, I loose the focus of the screen I'd like to make a snapshot of and then pressing the Home button does what it normally does.
It would have been nice if the information was posted directly in your thread instead of just including an external link.
Awesome post! Thanks!

To take the screen shot, you first press the back button, without leaving the back button, press the home button. In some phones you need to use the volumne button instead of the back button.
nice and very useful post indee

Thanks for your reply. I had already tried holding the back button and pressing the home button (that is what is written in your tips) but it didn't work. As soon as I press the back button, the screen returns to the previous view, irregardless of whether I press and hold. The volume button also doesn't do it.
I tried to memorize all of thoes numbers at some point.
Cool basics tips for beginners
Great post, thanks m8!
whatever you get always install CWM it is very very helpful at times
One of the most under-used tips is not even that advanced. The "share with" feature to share data between apps is tremendously useful. It's one of Android's killer features vs iOS.
For example, to send a URL to Twitter you can hit menu > more > share page and then select the app to share from. 95% of Android users I speak with don't even know this is built into the OS and works from/to practically any app.

Few others have commented saying it will work only on Samsung phones. Sorry
Thanks for share !
I've figured out how to make screenshots with my SGS II -> simultaneously press the home and screen lock buttons.
First, please forgive me if there's a sub thread for this phone. I didn't find it, and the help saying use the device forum went back to the menu where I already didn't find it. ?
My issue is that my HTC 10 suddenly decided that every press of the overview button will now activate split screen, not just long press. I remember when I first turned this function on there was an option did I want it to activate split screen on normal press or long press, but now I've spent two days on Google and cannot find this option! I can't seem to turn the function on or off as the help pages refer to menus I do not have. (Device and Multi window - they aren't there!!) and other help only tells me that long press should be working. I've had no updates since it was last working normally.
Please, anyone know where this option is hidden?

Go to your application manager and find the app(s) that control split screen and clear data and wipe cache.

Any ideas what I'm looking for? I had a scroll through and nothing jumped out at me to be the service the controls this feature. Then again, they have names that aren't particularly intuitive.
Update - Looks like I found it, thanks. I cleared out system UI and it's normal again. Still odd that the option vanished, it was definitely an easy menu.
