First I thank every developer on ace plus for their hard working without donation and doing all their works for free
Secondly I may have some suggestion may help you for getting a stable JB or KK rom :
I searched for a device has similar feauters to our device and I found one has an offical JB rom (4.1.2) called (Samsung Galaxy Fame S6810) and this the link of its features : http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_fame_s6810-5279.php.
from its features that it has a very similar camera features to ours.So, this may help you for your work and you can download the offical firmware of this device for SamMobile web site.

may be you didn't compare device well
-first, Galaxy Fame is dual sim device while Ace Plus is single
(Not a major issue)
-second, Galaxy Fame 1GHz Cortex A9 while Ace Plus 1GHz Cortex A5
(& here we sort the difference in CPU)
-third, Galaxy Fame is on Broadcom VideoCore IV GPU while Ace Plus Adreno 200 GPU
(another difference in GPU)
while porting rom from another device we must have 3 major features similar DISPLAY, CPU, GPU & for SGAP there's only one device stands around, Galaxy Mini 2.

yes but there are not good roms and i tried porting some but got bootloops only
Unfortunately, j.posarekar70 is right
Maybe the best thing we can do is try the camera libs to bypass jb camera HAL port for kernel 2,6 but im prety sure it wont work, i dont have time now to search the exact differences
But because of both being Qualcomm we could give it a try.
and anyway 2,6 is already history

but i searched also and found device has the same CPU & GPU but display & camera as Galaxy Mini 2 and has more ram 768 MB, its called (Samsung Galaxy Young S6310)

this device doesn't have flash so I think the flash remain bug if we port this rom to our device

I think we could begin from pure galaxy rom, only if any one tell me about wifi-ap and camcoder files so i can extract them from the offical firmware of galaxy fame or galaxy young and we could make stable jellybean rom

also for galaxy young 2 the only issue is that the gpu and i think with the gpu driver could solve that problem :
and here is the adreno 200 gpu driver for ics :

I think to port CM7 ROM, because our device is old.
CM7 have a lot of futures, changes
and this is easier than to port cm11 or any other

galaxy mini rom was not work with mini Plus? i think samsung just changeed cpu if you have custom kernel then you can port mini roms to Plus with just edit

it's best that you ask on mini forum coz i'm not samsung expert, i'm lg optimus line expert. samsung and lg all full diff if i say anything and it not work then maybe your phone will brick

For root use famaroot it work for me
I already rooted my phn using frammaroot but I want to install CWM recovery in my phn...can anyone know how to install it in my phn n provide the file too...

you can uninstall useless system apps by es file manager or rom tool box.
Wifi issue with Samsung Core I8262
Hey Guys,
Just bought a Samsung Core I8262. Phone overall is decent with balanced hardware and software options.
However, I noticed two issues with it :
1. It's not connecting to Dlink Router specifically at my home (which works fine with Note 2, S Advance and Laptops)
2. While you are dialing a phone number in speaker mode, the base volume is quite low which makes you feel the speaker is under powered.
After online research I found, Samsung S4 also had some issues with Dlink Router. Hence, tried following but, nothing worked out :
1. Phone does detect Dlink Router, after punching correct pswd it comes with a message SAVE, SECURED.
2. Forget network, tried...no go.
3. Then checked wifi settings after dialing *#0011# code and it was active.
4. WPA comes up whilst connecting Router, changed to WEP still didn't work.
I was exhausted with trying many a things, hence, thought of Service Center for upgrading Binary Versions which was the only thing I would've imagined, but, in spite of upgrading its still not working. Please Help.

I'm tying to port custom rom of galaxy fame and making some changing like removing its gpu dricer and installing our ace plus hoping this will make something better even that I knew that porting rom between different devices demand same cpu type (arm5 or arm6 or arm7) and luckly the two devices are arm7

Tried porting rom of galaxy fame with several guides from xda but all failed with several bugs :
1- faced updater scripts bugs that can't flash the rom via TWRP or CWM.
2- if I solved the first one, then I faced the bootloop even in samsung bootscreen or GT-s7500 screen or The bootloop of the special rom.bootscreen
tried about 4 days without sucessful result
but may be these problems because of the different chipset between ace plus and galaxy fame, but this very possible to port rom from galaxy fame to our device but need professional developer.
so, I think those problem will not be there in porting from galaxy young by the simple ways in the guides because it has the same chipset of our device.
may be I try again with galaxy young another time
Today while browsing through net, i got to know about a lollipop rom for Samsung galaxy grand duos on techdroider.
The cyanogenmod 12 based on android 5 lollipop is now available for Samsung galaxy grand duos. Kind of exciting because Samsung galaxy core duos and Samsung galaxy grand duos share somewhat same kind of specs.
Can any of the developers please try to port this rom to Samsung galaxy core duos. Plsss plsss:fingers-crossed:

Hahaha. Idk how to call them. I just giving some motivation quotes. There are a few developers that has come to make ROM for galaxy core duos. Some of them are Omkar$,ankur850,vvbaibhav,abhi922,NovaFusion and others that I forgot their name. Still we got no CM

because mega 2 exynos 4 4415, s3 has exynos 4 4412, (grand 2 has snapdragon 400 msm8226 and s3 neo has msm8228), mega 2 and s3 has same cortex-a9 (grand 2 and s3 neo has same cortex-a7), s3 and mega 2 has same mali-400 mp4 (grand 2 and s3 neo has same adreno 305)

The best phone to port from is galaxy mega 2 i think unfortunately arter port kitkat rom of this phone but never told any body how he is the only one.

because arter and justarchi's port has same chipset devices note 2 and e210s
