Hello,
I bought in Canada an tab4 7 inch. I want to install a firmware version with the Dutch language in it. I try to flash an European rom from sammobile with Odin but it say it can't write to the device. I know from other samsung products how it works but some how I can't make it work. Do some one know how to make it work and what can cause the problem.?

Hello, I found a solution for the language problem. When I bought the tablet in Canada I couldn't choose much languages. Dutch was for example not visible, after a reset (menu button /volume up/ power button) choose for factory reset. I was able to choose which language I want so as told by some people the languages are there but not visible is true. So I installed it now like I want it..... Maybe a solution for others.....

Hi All,
I desperately need a UK stock ROM for 8010. I searched everywhere i could but no luck.
Thank you very much
Anyone?

Hi bud,
I just downloaded the stock euro rom and then changed my csc to UK. I couldnt find the UK variant for N8010 only N8000 (with 3g).
Find the ROM at:
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-N8010
I would go with ALGC ROM region DBT
Install with ODIN as usual
Then download CSC changer from play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.manniakk.cscselector
Change CSC to BTU which is the UK version of N8010. Changing the CSC will factory wipe the tab so do this before you reinstall your data and apps etc....
Hope this helps

Am I right to assume Samsung have still not released the upgrade for the 8010 anywhere in the world, let alone here in the USA? Anyone got any insights as to when we might see the official upgrade for the 16GB wifi-only N8010 device, which I would have thought to be one of the most popular devices out there (!?). I like the Samsung products, but their firmware upgrade methodology is not as slick as I was hoping.
I have a Note II phablet, and the suite upgrades will make the Note 10.1 much more useful, if the Note II is anything to go by.
Has anyone rooted and applied a compatible-ish firmware; how's it working for you?
Thx
Andrew
So after flashing the stock ics firmware how do you apply the otas from samfirmware? i allways get installation aborted when using cwm or mobile odin any help would be great.
Thanks
Hello.... does UK's Jellybean N8000XXBLK2 stock Rom from sammobile support arabic keyboard? is it able to read and write in arabic?
Is that rom a network specific one ?
Thanks
I have installed this rom on my n8013 and yes, Arabic is fully supported. You can choose Arabic as your system language or just an input language via keyboard and/or voice. Also Arabic handwriting recognition works in s-note and polaris office! I am waiting for the n8010 rom because the hardware is the same, but for now I am loving this rom, quirks and all.

Thanks, will flash it then.....but Im suprised you flashed it on your N8013, that rom is for N8000, it could have soft bricked your tablet i think
Btw....the rom isnt a carried branded one right??? because it says UK-BTU

The ROM I downloaded is from sammobile and is the stock ROM for the N8000 and is not carrier branded. I did some research and asked many questions before flashing, so I felt comfortable doing it.
I used Odin, of course, as I am not rooted.
The only problems I've had are random reboots (!) and a couple of apps not working due to region. Be prepared to do a factory reset if there are issues after the install.

Android 4.1 update to GT-P3100 in Spain?
I have a Galaxy Tab 2 7" GSM+WiFi GT-P3100 in Spain, running stock Android 4.0.3 plus CF-Auto-Root.
I understand that Android 4.1 has been available for sometime across Europe .. but the Software Update button in Settings says that no update is available for my device, nor does Kies find any update.
What's the path to get Android 4.1 on a Galaxy Tab 2 7" GSM+WiFi GT-P3100 in Spain?
And, is there anything special to do/ avoid/ know about applying the 4.1 update to a CF-Auto-Root'ed device?
Thanks,
-Jay

Your country???
And to update you can use kies(if not rooted)
Else if rooted my suggestion would be go to samfirmware download latest version for your location and flash via odin.
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-P3100 4.1.2 but no XSE

Dont forget to hit the thanx button!
Dude, wait for it to be available in the philippines.
I already tried JB but a bit buggy that why i reverted back to ICS.
And so far my choice is right.
Also not all apps works on JB yet.
Be patient or try some JB custom rom.
Thats what xda for, to give us what those gadget companies denies.

Same thing here in Portugal: P3100 8GiB Wifi only and no JB update... Tried Kies and still got the message that no new Firmware available...
I always use English UK on my device, identify myself as UK in Google account, used a Proxy for UK ip and still no go...
Does anyone knows if Samsung is not giving JB to the 8GiB WiFi version of P3100??? (if that's so i'm gonna root and flash)...
Lets just hope they release that much awaited JB but i think its gonna take a while since their still releasing gadget in ICS mode, IMO they are more focused on the Note family.

It should, I think. I remember in the CWM for 4.1.2 thread there was a disclaimer that it wasn't tested on the non-P in the beginning as there wasn't a non-P user posting any feedback back then but as we know, it worked.
p/s: I'm downloading the firmware and will report back later

Has anyone tested CWM working for the GT I9105 ? I'm downloading this firmware. Will report back the good parts ..
Besides this if anyone can answer, if all the firmwares are the same then why does Samsung bring out a Different Firmware for every country?
Cant they just have one firmware for one phone universal around the world (except for network branded phones).
Ok, Jerry's CWM works with our device.
Been fiddling with my phone for the past couple of hours. No noticeable increase in battery drain nor heat issues so far.
The 4.2.2 features have been posted by our I9105P brethren, e.g most welcome for me is that moving apps to ext sd is now supported.
Developer options is hidden. To enable it, "about device" -> "built number" and tap it 7 times.
That's it. I've nothing else to add for now.

I can't download. The link is just way too slow and it gets stuck somewhere in between. Have to put it download from the starting again.
Can anyone mirror it somewhere where download is resumable ?
Will download and try that one instead of I9105P version. Had some strange error with libEGL and hopefully it has been fixed :fingers-crossed:

I'm guessing one reason is that the size would be bloody huge if they included every supported language and character module in just a single release. This 4.2.2 itself is almost 1gb

Well we do have all the languages in the firmware available right now. Dont we ?
Like the Firmware from Germany almost everyone around the world is using it. There must be some other major point
Yes 1GB was a surprise for me too.

Nope, there's no Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese character input modules i believe. While non Russian/Balkan firmwares don't have support for cyrillic script.
By the way If you make a factory reset after flashing this new firmware, your phone's default language will be Russian

Don't really understand, sorry.
But only a guess what you really ask;
If you flash official firmware manually with Odin, TW will remain untouched and the default launcher, unless you instal an alternative launcher from Google Play and set it as default.

however, if I do flash an official firmware, will I loose my warranty?? (I am deciding between a brand new one and used one)

I'm no expert on regional warranty, but I see no reason why you should lose warranty. After all, the firmware is an official release....
