Had this same problem with a different BT headset, what I had to do was make sure that the watch was not paired with the phone Not just not connected but not paired and that the headset was not paired with the phone. you then can pair and connect the headset to the watch and then pair both with the phone.
Hi Psutfin
I have tried what you said, but still no able to pair up at all.
Im having the same issue with Gear 2 and a jabra headset. I tried the above instructions as well, any other ideas?

no problems here. tested my ac p311, emerson em510 and plantronics backbeat 903.
I just tried it out with my old school bluetooth handset and it works fine...
It looks like your headset is probably the issue. what model is it?

i have Sony DR-BT21G which pair for both phone and media playback, but i cannot get my Sennheiser PX 210 BT to pair with media. They pair with phone which is kind of useless since they don't have a mic, but i cannot get them to pair for music playback. The Sennheisers worked great on my Nokia N900. Gingerbread is supposed to tweak Bluetooth so i am waiting for OTA update from my carrier (Wind) before i experiment with ROMs.
SOLVED found an options menu for the headset, unchecked use for phone, checked, use for media, and it works GREAT!
UPDATE: Sennheiser remote controls do not work. No NEXT TRACK, PAUSE/PLAY etc.
No problem staying connected to my blueant v1 or my car. What ROM are you on?
Works well with my Moto S9-HD and 8xxPlantronics headsets, both for phone use and music. Didn't notice any difference after gb update from stock.
Hey all,
I'm planning to pick up a S6 next week but I have one quick question. I have used Samsung devices in the past and the one thing that pissed me off that was that if I had my headphones connected and I paired my device with my car or Bluetooth speakers the audio would continue to play through the headphones and I would have to disconnect them before audio would play via the Bluetooth device. Is this still the case with the S6?
I will try to remember to test this out. It might be BT-device-specific, though.
I just got my OPO. It currently has the latest build on it, CM12S. I have a 2013 Hyundai Gen coupe. The Bluetooth on the phone will pair fine with my portable speakers and headset. When I go to pair it in the car, my car nor the phone find each other. I have tried several times but it will not pair nor find my car. Are their any known issues with Hyundai cars and Bluetooth on the OPO? Because if it doesn't work then I will be returning my OPO. I use Bluetooth in the car quite a bit and need it....
Tried again this morning, nothing. It doesn't even see the One plus one. Yet I can pair any other Bluetooth device with it no problem....
So after a bit of experimenting, this is what i have going on. I have my gear s2 and a nexus 6p and a 2011 Toyota 4Runner with the navigation. My nexus can not gain access to my car via Bluetooth, either phone or car audio as long as the gear s2 has it's Bluetooth on. When i turn the Bluetooth off on my gear s2, i can then access the phone via car Bluetooth. Afterwards, i can turn the Bluetooth back on on the gear s2 and everything is fine.
Incidentally, i can pair and use the gear with my car Bluetooth (but can't get access to my contacts on the gear s2). With both available to my car phone, only the gear s2 will automatically pair with the car. I can't switch to my nexus from the gear. But if the gear is off, my phone then pairs automatically with my car.
Now i know the nexus 6p has some documented issues with Bluetooth. Both portable devices use the A2DP profile. But has anybody had issues similar to this with their car and phone? (Incidentally, I didn't have this issue with my gear s2 and my galaxy s5.)

And this is why we don't use Samsung smartwatch with non Samsung phones. Even though they will tell you it will work with any phone, it will only work "properly" with a galaxy phone. I gave up trying to get the gear s2 to work properly with my 6p. Having to soft reset the watch every time I went out of range of my phone drove me insane. Sold it & bought a Sony smartwatch 3. Haven't had any problems since. As for the nexus Bluetooth issues, I haven't had any.
I'd guess its the S2's fault as well. I have a moto360 attached to my nexus 6p and have never had any form of bluetooth issue. I usually have my moto360 and a pair of bluetooth headphones or a bluetooth speaker attached and its fine.
Hey everyone,
Does anyone else have the issue where voice/speech via a BT headset isn't recognized when Google Assistant is prompted unless the phone is unlocked and manually launched?? I can prompt it with my Bragi Dash Pros, or squeeze and talk via Bragi Dash Pros, but it acts like I said nothing.
Yes and it also doesn't work when connected to my car via Bluetooth. I googled it and it appears there are many issues with Bluetooth on the Pixel 2s.

No, they work for me good so far. I've been using it with my good stereo BT headset (Plantronics BackBeat Pro, older version) and just tried two cheaper just single ear BT headsets. I also tried it out the other day with the speaker phone BT that is in my truck. I don't have a built in BT device in the truck.
They all appear to work okay.
