[Answered] Auto tapp app with no root - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

So I am on a Verizon SCH-I535 with 4.4.2 which everything I read says cannot be rooted because the bootloader is completely locked down. [insert sad face]
What I am currently looking for is some kind of app that can record actions and repeat them. like clicks/taps. So if I wanted to click something over and over and over and over...I wouldn't have to physically do it and would not have to come up with some robot to tap for me. They exist in Play store and online but I am yet to find one that can be used on non-rooted phones...hence my predicament. [insert sad face again]
Anyone know of anything out there that can do this without being on a rooted phone?

You can get root on 4.4.2. Search for "Towelroot". Its an apk, so it's super easy. You just can't unlock the bootloader, so no custom recovery or roms.

Either its not installed or installed incorrectly.
How did you root? And how did you install busybox?
The method outlined in this thread is best: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28785461
As the zip installs super user and busybox for you.

As long as you're rooted, you can download busybox from the market too.

Toss it my way. Correct none of the unlock apps will work for the I727, I've tried many. Your IMEI is still in the database, It is just AT&T not wanting to give it to you. Your best bet would be to use one of the MANY online sources. There are several that offer unlocking for under $10.00 others that offer for around $30.oo ish. Find one in your budget that will work for your time constraints and go with them.
As far as busy box, you have a few options from the market that will quickly and easily install it for you.

Don't know anything about the unlock apps, but are you installing busybox through the market and THEN opening the app and installing it through the app? If not, the app is worthless.

You can just download the stock rooted version. Is way easier and you won't have problems.

I've tried myself and I ended up saying that I have something modded or something from the ota download. I finish downloading the ota for sense 5.5 and I've tried to lock the hboot and unlocked. Same results no matter what. I think it's the missing apps. The calculator and some others. Just download the stock rooted. You'll end up rooting the phone anyways. What is the point of that?

Please Help : SCH-I535 4.3 updated

Hi all,
I don't know whether I'm posting my question in the correct forum or not.
My Phone is SCH I-535. Accidentally, I upgraded to 4.3.
I have rooted and downloaded rootchecker from play store and it is rooted successfully.
Basically, I did a big blunder last time, by flashing a wrong ROM altogether. Flashed the International Version ROM and it hard bricked, and it was a mess. I could not use my phone for almost 6 months since, I did not have time to work on this. So now, I got the phone up and running and I did not know that, I should not accept the 4.3 update. So I did accept and now I'm on 4.3 and rooted.
Basically, I have 3 requirements.
1. Get a clean, fast, simple ROM, which has only essential Apps and no bloatware - CAN ANYONE SUGGEST ANY ROM-SCH-I535,4.3,ROOTED
2. Get the HotSpot feature working - I downloaded foxfi, and it is working fine. But if the stock Hotspot feature works, then it will be great. I don't like many Apps in my phone. I feel they make it a bit slow. I want my phone to be as fast as possible.
3. Increase the Brightness of my screen. I read somewhere about the kernel modification or something. I tried to do that last time and I messed it up badly.
So, I did not want to do anything stupid this time and I'm posting here.
I have read different threads and there is a lot of information, and that's how, I was able to root this 4.3 SCH I-535. But I don't want to do anything on my own, with out expert advice. So I'm posting here.
Any help is highly appreciated. Thank You.
1. Lots of great roms available, take a look at all of them and see what looks interesting. Every rom will be experienced differently by everybody, so your best option here is to systematically try them out until you find a good one that runs like you need it to. Remember you need safestrap in order to do this and the rom can only be 4.3 TouchWiz.
2. I think there's a wifi hack somewhere that will remove the Verizon prompt completely. Not sure where to find it though, might not be s3 specific.
3. Increasing the brightness may not be possible. If there is a way, then an xposed module might be able to do it. Take a look at all of them and see if something allows you to modify that.

Fake gps locations/ mock locations

Ever since i upgraded my note II to 4.3 none of my fake gps apps work anymore. I used it a lot in a game i play and am very frustrated that i cant anymore. Does anyone here know how get it working again? My phone is rooted, but the bootloader is still locked. Ive almost bricked it once already trying to flash roms, so im hesitant to try again until i can get a new phone and use this as backup.

You can unlock bootloader and even change your ROM. Search your device type here on xda and read first the comments from the people who already have changed their ROMS. If they don't have significant problems why should you worry.

Im not so much worried about the process, im more worried about screwing it up lol. I am a noob to rooting and flashing roms. But thanks for replying.

Try downloading "Fake GPS Pro" from the play store, it works with android 4.3

[Q] Suggestions For Rooting?

Could someone suggest the best (safest) method of rooting my AT&T G3? I've only rooted a couple of phones over the years, so I'm not terribly experienced at this. I don't want to flash any new ROMs or change the phone drastically. I don't even care much about removing bloatware. I'd be happy if I could just remove that stubborn circle clock widget on the lock screen and would really love it if I could restore the FM radio.

IO root (I think that's the name) is simple just enter in two commands
In the adb and that's pretty much it. Also I think the radio is a hardware thing and is only on the D855 international model.

I'd go with Towel Root. Its unbelievably easy and works perfect. Google towel root and go to the website to download the apk. Once you download and install, open it up and hit "make it rain" then boom your rooted. After that I'd download SuperSU.

This. Towelroot is by far the easiest and safest route. Doesn't even have to reboot the phone. IT JUST WORKS
Curious, I'm relatively a newbie, after Towel Root method and the phone is rooted what benefits are gained? For example, Is it possible after rooting to install an app for Hotspotting?

After root you will will be able to download apps and tweaks that would require root to run. Its like having full access to your phone and files. Like having admin rights I guess. I'm not sure about hotspot.

Thanks for the tips everyone.
About hot spots. I rooted my G2 and was able to tether whereas before, AT&T prevented this function unless I paid extra.
Not sure I want t o do it at this point because the risk/benefit isn't worth it for me. This phone has so much storage that the bloatware isn't an issue and I never really tethered as much as I thought I would. Too bad about the FM radio. Regaining that function would persuade me.
