Latest stable CM7 Question.

Every other day or so, I will lock my phone with the power button. Upon trying to unlock it, the screen will not turn back on, will turn on but at dimmest setting, or it will power full on (like normal) but will not unlock.
This occurs whether or not I'm using ADW, Magiclocker, or CM7 for my lock screen. It usually only occurs once every other day, maybe 3 days. Has happened at 3 different clock speeds (3xxmhz, 7xxmhz, and stock).
Just curious if this is a common issue or maybe I need to reflash the ROM. Thanks for anyone's help.

The CM Q&A thread isn't just for show, questions for specific roms should be posted in their respective threads...I really don't get why that's a hard concept to grasp.
I would say that's an uncommon issue however, or at least that's not something I've heard many users of CM ROMs say before...again I would post this question in the respective Q&A thread so at least the developers will have a shot at looking at it...or at the very least give others a chance who use that rom specifically to see if it should be considered a real issue or just a bad flash.

Thanks for the reply. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Little side note on your first comment: I have hughesnet for internet (as in, if I wanna enjoy my little ROM hobby, I have to stay up until 1am to start any downloads and get up before 6am to shut it off). I try to get my threads, on any forum, in their proper spot. But, for whatever reason, certain pages on this forum will not load for me. So I do the best I can. I would appreciate it, as aggravating as it is for someone to post is the wrong section, that you try not to be derogatory with your remarks. Unfortunately for some of us, Cable/DSL isnt an option. No hard feelings, just something to think about. Again thanks for your input.

LOL, honestly if you found the first part of my comment to be more on the derogatory side then informative, I suggest you not take things so personal when someone is trying to point you in the correct direction. I'm going to be very straight forward and if you want to confuse that with derogatory or take it personally, I can't help you there mate, that's an inner struggle. To be honest, what I said was probably on the more polite side when it comes to unnecessary threads, if you don't believe me, kids get flamed for far less..hang around long enough and you'll see it for yourself. I'm a straight forward member, you'll see that in all my posts, if you take it personally or as a personal attack at your internet situation, sorry man wasn't my intention?

Oh no, I didn't find it offensive or take it personally but, it did come off as a derogatory remark, or at the least, that's how it reads.
I continue to try and load the proper page to re-post this thread but, it just wont open. Like I said before, thanks for the info, it is appreciated. I'm gonna just have to wait until I get to work and post it when I can.

No worries man! I hope you get it all figured out! if you can't get it to open, let me know and I'll get the question into the proper thread so the CM guys can give you an answer. Like I said originally, that's a first time hearing about this problem, I'm not an avid CM using but from the known bugs with CM ROMs I know of, I don't believe that's one of them.

Why can't I post

When I am on the xda app and when I go to post to reply on a topic it says the server thing then proccessing but it keeps me at that screen and doesn't post

checked the form rules,I must reply first.

you need to have 10 posts before you can post in every section on xda, right now you are allowed to post things in Q/A

i had the same problem, i couldnt even post in q/a, also i couldnt edit my profile at all, so i had to make a new user, but does anyone know why it was like that?

I try to post an answer to some guy's question in the S3 Original Development form... but it won't let me... I've been going through these forums for 2 years, and have been a developer (not android specifically) for 15 years, and finally decide to help someone out and they won't let me until i post 10 questions? SO what now, just make up 10 BS questions?
Ugh... i guess this counts as 1?

That means you have 9 to go, and we expect quality, contributory posts, not spam. That's not to suggest that you personally would do that, but I deal with "10-post spammers" almost every single day.

Exactly... We'll I think the 10 post limit (in area's i'm not interested in posting to) is forcing me to post spam... I get that you want people making quality posts, but it feels like this method forces spam posting... my other post was quality, genuinely helping another user on my provider...

The pointless threads will never end. And questions in General will never end. You would thinking checking Yes to "Is this a question?" and seeing the [Q] appear in the title would light a bulb in their heads telling them they should be posting in Q&A. But then again, you would also think that checkbox would automatically post it in Q&A.

Yea I don't doubt that the list is very long. Thanks for requesting it, though! Next thing needed is a report button on the app. I know it used to be there, but I can't remember if it was the xda app, the tapatalk app, or both. But now neither seem to have it. And I don't know who that request would go to, either xda or tapatalk.

It's got 32gb standard and a expandable sd card alot 5.5 inch 1080p screen and a 3140 milliamp battery that's removable. It's also just 200 at att

Look, this is an apology to everyone about a post I submitted yesterday, but I am NOT sorry for what I was trying to say, I login to get information on different things, and in order to even get where you want to go, you have to sift thru the same stuff over and over, like today, 5 threads started with the same info I saw on tech news sites everywhere, so the google phone is going to be released, what in the heck does it have to be here, in this forum in 5 threads, I am looking for fixes not tech news. Again, an apology was in order. This post is to all that are here for the same purpose I am, to try different things out on our phones, can't we at least stay on that subject?

I know, I saw where you were trying to politely say that..Pretty soon, it is going to be full of this type stuff, but on another note, I think what is happening is everyone is getting in a hurry to do something with this device, and there is nothing more than root for 1st timers. And there will be alot of them, coming very soon, and the search option can be at times for new people a nightmare. We are going to be in trouble, or the moderators are going to be super busy with the volume that is fixing to flood this site.

That was removed because the report system was changed. But on the XDA App tap the message, hit more, hit open in Browser and you can then hit the triangle to report a post.

When you see redundant threads please report it and in the report link to the first or in the redundant thread to make it easier to close and redirect these useless threads.

HOWEVER is there a forum here for this device?
I will never use a phone that I cannot root or customize! LOL (That's what Apple is for, jailbreak excluded)

You will have less to worry about because there will only be 10 people there to follow the rules.
The real reason that there are useless threads is because there are so many people checking in here. Most aren't your normal XDA member. Most just bought the phone and want to hang out somewhere to talk about it. They have no idea that the phone black clips, lags, or has a locked bootloader. They read threads, find problems that they weren't aware of and then ask questions.
These people also keep the numbers up and view the advertising that XDA needs to survive. So its not all one sided.

Request for sticky

How do I get my B2R script stickied here? Its got 6K+ hits and I think its justified. People shouldn't have to dig for it, and its moving down the list after the final release as the thread is dying to completion.

Hey mate,
Thanks for the tip but @MartyHulskemper was nice enough to PM them for me. I'm sure his voice will add some clout. Hopefully they will accept the request. When this project is done I want to rest easy knowing I can "walk away" and users can easily find this tool without me having to maintain its visibility by continually bumping it up the ladder. I think your suggestion of moving it elsewhere might be a good idea, although the word is out that it can be found here and that may break stride and throw a wrench into viva voce communications, especially for people that have difficulty navigating and searching the forum. And without a second sticky here linking to the dev thread, it could represent equivalently the same problem. Also since the thread for "B2R doesn't work in JB 4.2" is here, I think they pair together (problem/solution). At this point I leave that decision to the mods and will gladly take the adhesive any way I can get it.
Slightly off topic, but please be aware that there is a typo for UC HD in the latest script release. Recently a user brought it to my attention. It should be browser not brower. I will fix it in the next (final) release.

i installed this and everything went great but, the wifi is not working. it just says wifi is turning on, but nothing happens, any help?

Not sure... There is nothing WiFi specific in this build, just plain CM. Maybe reboot, reinstall, etc.
Also, I do not plan on regularly monitoring this Q&A thread that XDA automatically creates...please stick to the main thread

ok, im going to download from the mega link and, not flash the donkey kernel to see if that works

Running the rom on Boost, and so far so good everything is working as it should be. Well with the exception of the data, however i'm generally always around wifi so not a deal breaker. However running it full time if anyone needs any logs or anything would be willing to help.

If you can, definitely head to the main thread. We are definitely in need of some logs right now though. Anything you can get for us would be greatly appreciated. Looks like we have several people including @mightysween and @crouse digging deep into this to try and get data fixed for all of us unlucky (or perhaps lucky, in a twisted way?) CDMA device owners.
In other words... I want my candy.

I still haven't breached the 10 post threshold to post in the main thread otherwise would be helping more.

All issues still stem from Sim dependencies. Got some things in mind to try, and I don't see us giving up on it. At least, I don't plan on it. One more post it seems and you'll be on main thread.

Would it work better as a kernel mod or a radio mod to flash it for other ROMs besides CM12?

I'm new to android coding, but were not touching the kernel or the radio. These are changes made directly to the OS. These changes, if we ever got them working, would most likely have to be a compile-time change.

From now on to keep the thread clean, I'm just going to ask: can this work with multirom?
