I have the same problem (using Z1 Compact and 4.4.4). I thought it's isolated to my devices but apparently is something wider.
Before upgrading my phone to 4.4.4 everything was fine.

After update sw2-app is working, if someone calls, there is an notification on the watch, no more app crash or FC.

After updating SW2, the incoming call will appear on the face, but without contact photos.

Fortunately, that has been running for Android 4.4.4. We must wait for second updated.
with the new update for the sm2, the call-app is working again for me!

I've just got my Sw2 and I'm using it with my Z (4.3). It keeps disconnecting. I was using CM11 just fine and went back to 4.3 (stock) to solve my problem with no succes at all. Stil disconnecting.
I have the latest software, no other choice. And even with no extra apps installed it reconnects allot.
I've read about LG users having issues but Sony is marketing the watch for my Z, it should at least connect
Anyone else has this problem?

When connecting to Sony Update, it updates every time. I dont know if this is normal or my SW2 is DOA and won't save the update. After de SW2 update and connecting it updates again trough the phone.

Worked for me. Tried everything. Roms, settings, apps, phones.
See if it lasts. I hate having 0 logging on the phone :/
For me to disable Google search apk helped. Don't know if related but since I did it my watch stopped disconnect randomly. I think is some Sony memory management problem. I have Sony SP, stock 4.3.

Bluetooth Auto Connect apk from play store will fix all the blue tooth frequent disconnections. I was quite frustrated with my sw2 until I found that apk. Hit thanks if this post helped you in anyway.

i just flashed and rootet my 2 years old tablet.
Here some facts from the tab:
Phone model: GT-P5100
Android system: 4.4.4
Kernel version: 3.0.31-CM-gaf80b62
ROM: samsung/espresso10rfxx/espresso10rf:4.2.2/JDQ39/P5100XXDNA1:user/release-keys
I use this tab for calling with a bluetooth headset.
When i flashed my tab, there happend weird things.
Normally everything works well, when i use the headset, but when i call some special contacts, then even the call tone starts to make sound like "krrrrrr" and "bruum".
Then if i start the call the voices are very weird and just scratch, you cant understand a word. If i stop the call, my phone app normally crash and i cant call again and i must restart the tab.
Its crazy, because it works with 3, 4 calls perfect, but if i call somebody with the same provider (simyo), then the call crash.
What is also very weird: I sit near to my tab, and suddenly the headset starts to make noises and i hear a "piep". Then everything is quiet and the tablet shines. But there was no call and no action, which would explain this reaction.
WHATS WRONG HERE? Is there the NSA listening?
My question ist, do somebody know, why my tab is so weird with the call app?
If every call would be bad, then i could say its the Version oder the Cyanogenmod, but sometimes it works well, sometimes not.

Are you using the latest radio for your device?
The 4.2.2 had a new radio built into the OTA. Did you update to that version before rooting and flashing a custom ROM?

I have a Dual Z3 (d6633)but since I upgraded to Lollipop I noticed a bug: use "Check with Xperia movements (in practice when you receive a call pull over to your ear and opens the conversation) first with KitKat worked well and now works only if you receive a call from SIM 1 and SIM 2 by not working:someone has noticed the same flaw?:crying:

You usually come up with such bugs when a new firmware is released. Have you tried repairing your phone with Sony Companion ? That might fix it.

I would like to ask if anyone has the same problem than me, I have a Sony Smartwatch 1, today is not so good, but solve my requirement.
I recently upgrade my Asus Padfone S Plus from android 5 to 6.0.1 and in this moment most of the apps stop working in my watch, because I am a smart ass, I think reinstalling all the apps will solve the problem, but... really mess up the apps that was working, and now only displays the time and show the missed calls (any other app or function is not working in the clock).
When I download a Smartwatch app in my phone, if appear in the Sony Smartwatch app, appear in the watch, but did not work (all the screen is black when enter to the app), and with other apps, even do not appear in the Smartwatch app.
I know that is an old watch, but i would like to know if its time to replace this sonys scrap....

Morning all.
I Have just purchased a second hand SW2 and I'm having big problems getting it to work with my rooted (6.0.1) Z2.
I've installed Smart connect and the Smartwatch 2 app.
I cant get call handling to work. Have uninstalled it and reinstalled it but nothing comes through to the phone.
I'v installed Messaging and that kind of works. I can see messages sometimes, but even then I cant reply and I can only get to see recent messages by turning bluetooth off n back on.
The weather app again works when it wants too.
Is this how it is or am I missing something stuppidly simple ??????
