Hi , everyone.
This tool is for you to make an CWM update zip without pain...
The function of this tool is to help you guys add apks into /system/app and /data/app
You can edit the updater-script to extend the function of this tool . Enjoy
Usage: (Make sure you have java runtime installed already, if not just do so before going further steps)
So simple.
1) Just extract the tool to c:\
2) browse to c:\apk_customized_install\ folder
place apk(s) into /data/app/ or /system/app/ folder, depends on your need
(The difference between these two folder is if you put apks in /system/app/ folder you can't uninstall apks through app manager. you need root uninstaller to do so instead.)
3) run the batch file
4) You have your signed CWM update zip file under c:\apk_customized_install\ folder
5) Copy to sdcard
6) Boot into cwm recovery and flash it
7) laugh ...

Thanks bjdanny. This is an excellent ROM, great improvement over the 0713 firmware.
Wifi is MUCH BETTER - better strength, no problem with WPA2 anymore.
Screen transition is noticeably smoother with no jerky movement, but not by a wide margin. I don't have to use TouchScreenTune anymore. Browser scrolling is still slightly jerky (I use Dolphin).
I still cannot get my BT keyboard to work - just like the 0713 ROM, there is no problem with pairing the device. However, nothing happens when I type on the keyboard. I don't use BT headphone therefore I cannot test.
Just like previous firmwares, the GPS can only pick up 2 satellites here in Canada - I used wifi to assist GPS search, and I use FasterFix to change the NTP server to "North America" but has no effect. I understand that this is a Chinese phone and it had been tuned to Asia.
Front and back cameras work fine.
I use MX player which can play to up 720p H2.64 videos stored in the memory card. MX player has hardware support which seems to work. 1080p videos won't show anything on the screen.
I intend to use the X710D as a mini tablet, therefore web browsing is a major requirement. Browsing of regular webpages is really fast. However, I am not happy about the Flash streaming video performance in the web browser (NOT using YouTube app) - if you use the last Flash version for ICS, it cannot play in full screen. I found an older version for ICS which works OK, but it can only play youtube videos at up to 480p resolution (and it may also stutter with some 480p videos). The audio and video may be out of sync. By comparison, my "old" Galaxy Tab P1000 can play streaming Flash videos in the browser smoothly in at least 720p resolution (even some 1080p), and it has a higher screen resolution (1024x600). I know Flash on Android is always buggy and is on the way out, but it will be some time before html5 is perfected and becomes the norm.
BTW the comment about Flash has nothing to do with bjdanny or his ROM. I think that you did not include Adobe Flash player in your ROM. If anyone needs it, here it is:
http://www.iapktop.com/adobe-flash-player-11-1-111-10-android-4-x.html
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
P.S. I notice that the external SD card has been renamed to "sdcard2". This causes problems in some apps eg. Dolphin browser: when I try to make a download folder there, the app says the folder name has illegal characters. Maybe the future ROMs should call the external sd card something like "extsd"?

Thanks slim_thumb for using my ROM ... I can't fix the booth keyboard problem right now because i don't have one...As for 1080p video playback display black screen .try using mobo player with software rendering ...
I will make a gps fix for North America ..
I have done several test on Flash streaming video and can play very smoothly ... i suggest you try play with home wifi in order to find out wether is problem of the rom or the network speed..
Actually samsung has been doing very well on web browsing optimization, because i have a i9003 before...that's why i know that...
I have tested 1080p video flash stream on youtube with youtube app and stock web browser .The result is quite nice...both through wifi and 3g .
My suggestion for you is to play 1080p videos on youtube with stock browser through wifi at home or somewhere with strong 3g signal...
I will release flash-able update to add flash player onto the rom...soon thanks for remind.
I am now working on 2.5 GB phone storage for my rom now...so most of the problems hopefully will be fixed in coming release...Of course, more tweaks and optimizations are coming up as well ...
I flashed your rom last night and im currently putting it through its paces. So far so good. Very fast and respsonsive
Keep up the good work and keep the updates coming :good:
Thanks for the feedback bjdanny.
The streaming Flash video problem is not network related. I use it at home on wifi (15 Mbps) and I have never use it on 3G because I never intend to use it as a phone.
I know a lot of the "problems" are hardware related and they were there in the previous firmware versions. I am very happy with the improvements you've made.
Thank you for your hard work and looking forward to future versions of your ROM! I posted in another X710D thread here in XDA to let people know you developed a custom ROM.

My front camera has always worked.
If your front camera does not work in every version of firmware you tried, could this be a hardware problem afterall?
Have you tried camera apps such as Vignette?
if the ffc works in official rom but not in my rom then i dont know what the problem is because i have tested without problem and so far no one who use my rom say that you may try use 3 party cam app to test the ffc
Sent from my X710d using xda premium
Now, that my FFC is finally working, i am up to new Roms.
flashed this Rom yesterday and everything seems to be in good condition.

I flashed your ROM last night, I'm still testing it, but I wanted to know how did you root your phone? I used the root procedure posted by 'jaw2floor' based on the 07/06/2012 at the beginning of the thread but it has the external SD problem, so then I follow the procedure posted by 'Ratzenberger' to get around the SD problem by flashing just the 07/13/2012;

HEY FOLKS! I have great news! After flashing the X810d with this tutorial, it was corrupting the memory card. Then I flashed the original recovery, boot.img + original preloader and original MBR from the original ROM of X710d (20120410_e1108_v73_jbl1). WORKS LIKE A CHARM!!!! Now the device continues WITH root ACCESS and memory card is working perfectly! This will also work with devices X710d too.
The problems i'm having are;
1) Bluetooth to my Plantronics 510 headset works OK when I'm actually talking on it, but if i'm not in a call and the headset is in standby mode it keeps disconnecting and re-connecting every 2 or 3 minutes , driving me crazy!
Bluetooth to my Sennheiser MM450 headset works OK, but 50% of the time when connecting, it won't connect and the phone just shows "Connecting..." and the Bluetooth is gone off into never-never land (BlueTooth will turnoff but won't turn back on) an I have to remove the battery to correct the problem , driving me crazy 2!
2) WiFi won't connect to corporate enterprise wifi use WPA/WPA2 I get "Authentication Problem", or 5GHz networks.
I wonder if what i'm going thru to root is overriding your changes? Do you have a better way to root?
If I can get these two problems fixed the phone would be great, but if not I may have to dump it I really need my Bluetooth, and having to always remove the battery is not cutting it for me! Any help would be appreciated .

I rooted the phone by extracting the rom's boot.img and add su binary & busybox to kernel's bin and xbin folder and put superuser.apk into /system/app
actually you can extract my rom and just flash the boot.img with flashtool i provided on 1st floor to root the phone ...only if you have cwm recovery flashed already
actually using my boot.img not only give you root access right but init.d support and also some dns and sd card tweaks..
i Included some tweaks in my boot.img ...you can check /system/init.rc to check what i have added ...
The best way to solve your problem is either flashing offical rom with my boot.img or simply flash my rom...
Don't ever try to flash rom wasn't built for your phone ...you are always on risks...
If you use my rom ...WPA/WPA2 works perfect. and wifi speed is improved too ..as for the bluetooth problem ....I am currently don't have a booth headset to test with...but i will get one soon...

Unfortunately you can no longer download the firmware it says the "The allotted time to download the file has expired and file is no longer available", Can you please uploaded it for people to get?
Nexus 7 USB Audio Support
I originally started looking into this as part of my Nexus 7 car project. Rebooting just to get USB audio working conflicted with my goal of being able to "dock and forget". It took a bit of experimenting and debugging but it's finally working

This program should enable USB audio support on your Nexus 7 - that means you are able to plug and unplug a USB sound card without having to reboot in order for it to work. Other devices should also work but I have not been able to fully test.
It works by downloading your devices services.jar which is then extracted and de-odexed if required. The necessary classes are then patched and a new services.jar is packaged up, re-odexed, re-signed and finally re-uploaded to your device. The previous method replaced the entire services.jar which turned out to be a really bad idea!
As always please let me know of any issues you stumble upon. The patching software was written quickly so there will most likely be bugs!
Instructions
Obtain a full backup of your device. This patch is experimental.
Ensure your device is ADB enabled, rooted and has busybox installed.
Make sure your PC has Java and .NET 4 installed.
Download usb-audio-patcher below and extract to a folder.
Run usb-audio-patcher.exe, the software will guide you through the rest of the process.
Flash a kernel with USB audio support. Nexus 7 Wifi kernels can be found below although any kernel with USB audio support will work.

Hi,
I was exactly looking for such program !!
I've an HTC One XL stock ROM rooted. USB Audio is supported by kernel as I can use alsa_aplay on my external USB sound card.
But I was looking for a player. Your patchs are even more interesting !
Do you think this can be working on my phone ?
As I'am newbie to Android, I don't know if I can just copy services.jar in place of my current HTC file (making backup of course) ?
Here is what I can see in /system/framework
-rw-r--r-- root root 313 2012-11-08 18:21 services.jar
-rw-r--r-- root root 2983720 2012-11-08 18:21 services.odex
Thx for help,
Vincent.

To be honest I really don't know HTC tend to do alot of things to their ROMs so it could break things horribly for you.
Without a working services.jar the device doesn't even boot - it will just hang at the boot animation and you may never be able to restore the backup.
If you can get a copy of your ROM and place it on your device prior to testing then you could flash the ROM back over the top via CWM/TWRP to restore the original services.jar file without losing your user data.
I would be interested to hear how you get on should you decide to give this a go.
Good luck!

Thanks for your reply and warning.
I'll be very careful then on this topic even if I have TWRP installed and ROM backup done.
As I haven't find Android source code for my phone (except kernel code available at HTCdev.com) I was wondering if this
method could be a way to patch the existing services.jar : www(.)jordanhotmann(.)com/2011/09/android-hacking-101-compiling-and.html
(sorry I'am still not allow to post url)
Have you ever try that ?
Thx,
V.
Hello, i have a very similar goal for usb-audio. The difference is, i want to plug in a USB-Headset
when i do skype and other VoIP calles. So i want also audio input from the usb-device.
Where to find your scource?
Hi!
I'm also interested in getting usb-audio-in to work!
My usb audio device is already supported by builtin usbaudio driver kernel module and is detected by ALSA
Do you think there are any chances to get it to work without patching? AFAIK android cannot switch automatically except for 'accessory mode' usb audio events which are supported for dock stations. Maybe it is possible to change audio cards priority via config files? As far as I understand audio_policy.conf is of no use?
For those who cannot find sources: the link is in the first message, read carefully!

I have no idea what tools are available on android for audio stuff yet but I'm getting a nexus 7 and this looks interesting. I have some experience of doing audio stuff with linux though.
In linux, you can specify the default sound device via alsa with asound.conf or .asoundrc file. You can make relatively complex setups that will make alsa switch automatically when plugging in usb devices. the wiki:
http://alsa.opensrc.org/.asoundrc
what sort of sound related commands are available to you in android any way? Can you try these in the terminal?
aplay -l
amixer
alsamixer
aplay -l is specifically useful for determining the names of your hardware to configure alsa correctly (you should use names such as USB Audio Codec rather than HW 1,0 values).
OK well this is very interesting. I'm off to check what's been made available to android so far...
This is exactly what I am looking for. I have just got my N7, isn't even rooted yet. But I am going to try this out in a few days, and test it with the FIIO E17, which is why I bought the N7.
It will take a few days before I have access to a windows computer for the rooting, but then I will come back with my experience of it.

I am working on moving the code to a separate service which should allow switching to USB audio without having to patch any files you could instead install an APK, it would also be much safer than replacing the entire services file. I'm afraid that a config modification alone isn't going to make this work as there is simply no detection code to make and execute the switch.

The alsa-utils package was the first thing I tried when attempting to make this work and while it can be compiled and successfully used to play and record audio it cannot be used to make configuration changes that are respected by the Android audio system.

Sounds good - let me know how it goes :good:. I have personally tested an E7 and it works fine, the E17 I believe needs to have USB charging disabled or it draws too much power.
Just a small note - I have had some people getting UI crashes after replacing the services file. As mentioned above I am working on moving things into a separate service which should solve compatibility issues across different roms.
My first initial test did not work.
What i have done: I rooted the device ( so I am in standard rom 4.2.1) installed the trinity kernel, and your two zip files ( and the trinity instead of the CM10 kernel). No sound in the FIIO yet. Is there something I have missed? Do I need to also install another ROM - I thought that the trick was the kernel.
I will be willing to test what you like, so can you give me an advice of what to try?
my next try was to install cm - I took the newest version, which apparently was a mistake. The installation went fine, but when I added the audio mod, it got stuck in the startup cm animation. Just to clarify - the CM version you are using is it a 4.2.1?
Same here:
stock rom 4.2.1
rooted;
latest trinity kernel
flashed both zips
sound either works over speakers or over usual headphone jack but not over DAC
the tested soundcard is an asus xonar u3
Thank you very much for your work. I'm highly interested in this project and a solution for my problem. If this would be implemented in CM10/AOKP it would be a great feature. Greetings from Germany
Thanks for the input.
As previously mentioned changing the entire services file is probably not the best solution as you have seen it has caused a few roms to stop responding. As for things not working entirely I am not sure yet.
I will attach the separate service soon, providing I can get it to work reliably so you can test without having to change the services file.
If that doesn't work out I will attach a build with more logging enabled so we can workout what is going on.

That sounds great. Can you say which version of android (CM) you working successful with ( 4.1.2, 4.2 or 4.2.1?).
All the best
Henry
I can really get nothing to work. I installed a 4.1.2 rom, with the appropriate trinity, modded the asound.conf, but with no sound out.
I then also tried to but the pcm.usbdac command into a newly made asound.conf in the 4.1.2 rom, also that did not work. What am I doing wrong??
Not working here either:
- M-Kernel
- 4.2.1 stock rom
- flashed both zips
USB DAC works with M-Kernel when Nexus 7 is booting with DAC connected, tested with Nuforce uDac 2 and Atoll DAC D100
Samsun S3 works on the fly, just plug in OTG and DAC and it works, remove and speaker sounds.

But your S3 is running a Samsung ROM?
My S3 with CM10 wouldn't work with my DAC. I had to flash back to stock Jellybean to get DAC working.
I would love to get CM10 and DAC working on my S3!!!
Thanks for all your hard work. It's great to see progress on this.
I tried on my Nexus 7 running the latest Faux kernel, stock 4.2.1 ROM. I plugged in a generic USB headset, with volume controls and a power on//off button. When you first plug it in, the volume buttons actually controls the Nexus 7 volume sliders! Very cool. But when you power the headset off and back on, it loses the ability.
As mentioned in the thread, hotplugging doesn't work. When you boot up with the USB headset connected, it works great.
Hahhah, whatever you guys do... don't flash these files on a Galaxy S3 !!!
Hard bricked my phone. No display, no turn-on buzz, no download mode... nada!
Ahh well, I shoulda known better than to flash kernel files meant for an entirely different device on my S3. I just really, really wanted my S3 and CM10 to work with a DAC!
Please tell me where to post a query if here is incorrect.
I bought the Zero for my daughter last year. It had problems from the outset with soft keys, reboots and microphone not working. UMI would not refund or replace. OTA updates did not help. It was running Kitkat at the time. Installing Rootjoy and ROM R.50 V4 did work. I got soft keys back by editing the System/Build.prop file adding qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
A few weeks ago the keys disappeared and all sound: notifications, ring, music, Youtube. The headphone jack stopped working. Bluetooth for music does work. The phone rebooted at random.
I installed TWRP recovery and the ROM CM 12.1: no sound or keys.
I flashed individual partitions via Fastboot but could not change System or Recovery. I didn't try erasing first. ADB does not recognise the device.
On the assumption the sound drivers were included on the earlier UMI ROM's I tried ROM's from NeedRom and SPFlash but could not get it to work. Presumably because I had the wrong USB drivers. My pc runs Windows 7.
Back to RootJoy and I installed V3.10: no sound. Then one at a time the OTA updates 3.03 3.05 and 3.06 still no sound.
I then reinstalled the ROM R.50 V4. No sound. I added soft keys by editing Build.prop.
I tried changing the audio settings in Engineering Mode: nothing.
I tried the Soundabout app, ignoring in/out detection for the headset: nothing.
I tried canned air and a pick in the headphone socket: no fluff, no sound from the speaker.
I compared the Build.prop file with a reference I found on the web. They were almost identical apart from the name of the engineer, date and where the name of the device was recorded.
When I used TWRP to wipe and install the Cyanogen mod I used advanced wipe and also erased the internal storage. Was that a mistake?
Does anyone have any ideas, please?

I am part of the team for Ainur Sauron, and I am here to present improved audio on the Le Max 2. Sauron has a userconfig which can be adjusted. Download the latest from there and place the attached file at /sdcard before installing. Make sure to remove the '.txt' at the end of the file too! Enjoy :victory:
Impedance is currently set to 16Ω which can be changed to whatever you desire. To set edit the attached sauron_useroptions file and change qc.impedance to whatever your headphones impedance is in Ohms multiplied by 1000 (eg. for 22Ω it would be 22000).
Tested by @I_Raptor_I on his x2, if it doesn't work just send me a log
EDIT: Attached the file
I did not know that anyone else was using Ainur Sauron on LeX2 It really improves the audio quality significantly on Oreo!
Quick question - why does it say "Axon 7" during installation procedure?

Hello GaetanoS.89, first things first uninstall the MK II Magisk module. Now place the given text file in /sdcard folder, then go and flash that module again, it should state that it has detected the user options text file and that's it.

Magisk isn't needed as it'll install with any configuration. All you need to do is placed the attched file at /sdcard (called Internal Storage) and rename it to sauron_useroptions (remove the .txt. at the end).

Did it, and after What I have to do?
@Lazerlord: I tried your mod today by described method.
I copied "sauron_useroptions" into sdcard folder by TWRP file explorer.
Afterwards I flashed latest zip (17.03.) using TWRP. Everything was fine with it during this.
Wiped chache and dalvik and rebooted without any problems.
Result: No ringtone anymore, no message sound, but media sound works fine and was adjustable, no app or menue occoured in regard to your mod. I did not check more.
I could succesfully remove your mod by described method (flash again same file from TWRP)
After removal everything was fine as before :good:
My Phone: X829 with latest AEX 8.1 using Magisk 16.0

I removed the "sauron_useroptions" from sdcard folder (as it was described in the file itself, that UO is not mandatory) and reflashed the zip-file again.
With this way everything works !
Will read a little bit the instructions now...
Generaly I have to say I am using Leeco CDLA as headphones atm which are extraordinary by themselves.
So maybe I will use adapter for 3,5mm jack whithin next days and try some user options. Leeco Loadspeaker judgement is difficult imho.
Also new AEX is very good ROM in regard to speaker sound I have to say.
On Oreo 8.1.0. PixelRevenge 15.1 works very well in music playback. He gave me a strange problem. I removed the system camera that I can not install anymore. I had to put another one. I have not tried calls and notifications yet
edit:- Notifications and ringtones ok. In-call audio worsened, the voice is less clear. In speakerphone there is a loud hiss that makes the speakerphone unusable

We're working on a fix for the mixer_paths that'll correct notifications, ringtones, and other audio. I'm happy that you're enjoying music playback. However, the system camera app problem is nothing to do with Sauron it's probably a ROM issue, or possibly even a Magisk issue.
I've installed this Mod by using Magisk 16.0 (v5.6.4) on RR 6.0(22-03-18).
Before I did this I placed the file sauron_useroptions to /sdcard folder.
During the installation Magisk showed that the useroption file was found and used for the installation.
In Poweramp I get the message that there is a problem with app native libraries (libampffmpeg.so).
I don't know whether the error message has something to do with that, but the volume control in Poweramp after flashing this modul is faulty.
Just when the volume is set the half I can hear anything. The volume control steps seems to be broken, but just in Poweramp.(After uninstalling, the issue is gone, but the error message is still sthere)
In other Apps the volume control is normal.
Since I use RR 6.0(8.1) instead of RR 5.8.5(7.1.2) the speaker sounds cheap tinny - Ainur Sauron didn't help to solve this issue. I removed AudioFX, can this be the reason?
It's difficult to describe the issue "cheap tinny", but I think the audio drivers have problems to divorce the difference frequences.
On RR 5.85. the speaker was more "smooth" and the frequences were divorced much better.
Sorry for my bad english and the critic. I think I'm an individual case and other people don't have the problems which I have, but in my case, the Mod seems not to improve the audio quality.

I've heard from @I_Raptor_I that RR already has a loss in audio quality. I advise the use of another ROM and if the tinnyness persists use the attached Sauron zip.
The Poweramp problem is probably due to DVC (Direct Volume Control) in their FAQ they state it may cause issues with 24-bit or HQ audio. The native libraries issue is not related to Ainur as it doesn't touch that file.
About the audio. ROM (which Sauron edits) isn't the only thing that contributes. the HAL and kernel do too, so RR's bad audio may not be able to be fixed or corrected by Ainur but we'll take a look into it.

Magisk viper?
I have installed viper on RR Oreo via magisk and audio quality is now on point with how it worked through flashing viper and Dolby Atmos on the nugart RR via twrp. There are a couple of things to consider though, viper must be activated before listening to music through your app, viper does not work over Bluetooth by default in viper meaning you must go to viper settings and set mode to compatibility from normal and then viper will work over Bluetooth. The last thing, and I can't remember if this was true on nugart but viper seams to only work with music that you have downloaded to your device and will not work with streaming music from the web.

*WARNING USE AT YOUR OWN RISKS*
Though the poco F1 has stereo speakers, the earpiece is sort of weak in comparison to bottom one and so the sound quality falls short when compared to other phones with dual speakers. With this guide, you can make your phone sound much balanced, immersive and better. Basically what it does is increase audio coming out from earpiece by using viper in combination with Dolby. Also this does not increases sound from earpiece beyond max level but instead reduces volume of bottom speaker slightly so it will not damage your speaker
REQUIREMENTS
Any custom rom with magisk and permissive SElinux
STEPS
1. Flash permissiver zip or use SElinux switcher to make SElinux permissive for Dolby module to work
2. Flash viper4a rootless zip in TWRP
3. Flash v4afx zip in magisk then reboot and test if Viper4A is successfully installed and working
4. Flash ACDB zip first in magisk then flash dolby audio zip and then reboot. You should now have moto audio app installed and working.
5. Put XHR WideFX irs file to main storage/Android/data/com.pittvandewitt.viperfx/files/Kernel
6. In Viper, enable convolver then choose the file to enable it.
7. For dolby, the default settings (smart audio) is great but personally I use film mode with surround sound and volume leveller enabled.
I have tested this in evolution X rom and it should work in other roms also. For stock rom it may require a custom kernel. If Dolby Atmos doesn't work then try Dolby Digital instead.
If you face issues like Dolby getting disabled automatically then heading to viper settings and switching Attach Audio Effects toggle or rebooting the system fixes it. If dolby app force closes then reflash it and clear catch after installation

On first choose no then select patch (new logic) then again choose no for notification helper and select remove volume listener library
Even if you skipped it wouldn't matter much because ACP is used just to fix audio not working in some apps and it does slightly enhances audio quality and volume.
For usb dac you can choose yes if you don't use wired headphones from usb c port
For viper though, you shouldn't get that warning
Maybe problem could be in your twrp
Manually mount system in twrp then try flashing again. If it didn't work you may have to reflash recovery
But you said that it is working? Did you tested the audio also? Because the magisk module only installs the app and some configs. The drivers are installed from recovery. You can also tap on the chip like icon button in viper and it should show the driver info and enabled as yes properly

Yes even tho i got warning, but it properly working. I already use it like 6hour, all is working fine.
but when i installing Dolby Atmos, i got bootloop and force me to bootloader. but when restarting phone i can access twrp, just removing them in module via twrp everything is back normal.
but i think it doesnt support latest MIUI Global 11.0.4 ? i got stock MIUI11
Anyway, after wiping module via twrp my viper now doesnt have driver on the app. i already doing the exactly same step 1 - 3 to install viper and it didnt work rightnow. driver still doesnt work even tho i tried installing this many times.
I already go to viper4x thread, someone say need to overwrite 2 file ( post-fs-data.sh & sepolicy.rule ) but still doesnt fix driver.

4. Flash Dolby Atmos zip file in magisk (you can download it from guitardedhero's post also for new version) and reboot. You should have both Dolby Atmos and Viper4A working at this point
5. Now to get that stereo sound effect, put XHR WideFX irs file in main storage/Viper4Android/Kernel folder
6. Open Viper and enable convolver then choose the same.
You can now test the sound and enjoy the stereo sound effect. It is best for gaming or while watching movies.
I have tested this in evolution X 4.0 rom and it should work in other roms also but I am not sure for OOS. For stock rom it may require a custom kernel. If it works in your rom then please comment down below so that others could also know it.
If you face issues regarding Dolby getting disabled automatically then heading to viper settings and switching Attach Audio Effects toggle or rebooting the system fixes it.

I have personally tested it in PE pie and Evo X 10 version. But this one should work in any android 10 based custom rom as long as you don't have any other audio mods installed conflicting it or else you may require AML also.

I already go to viper4x thread, someone say need to overwrite 2 file ( post-fs-data.sh & sepolicy.rule ) but still doesnt fix driver.
maybe you know how to ?

+1.
Viper is working fine but after installing Dolby Atmos and rebooting i am stuck at Fastboot, had to remove the dolby module.
Is this related to Miui 11 or some selinux problem??
Please suggest some workaround.
Will this work on miui 11?

Looks like it doesn't work in miui as of now
But you can try dolby digital instead which is also good. Dolby Atmos is still like an early release and currently only works in custom roms and kernels
But remember to choose the IRS file in viper. That makes the earpiece work more balanced. Dolby is just to further enhance the sound quality.

Same is happening in Evolution X I'm stuck at bootloader..
It's not even working in a custom rom.
Works perfectly with Pixel Experience (Android9) + No Gravity Karnel.
Thank you, so wonderful!
Thanks for stereo convolver file, but dolby atmos giving bootloop on miui 11.0.6 android 10
I'm running Pixel Experience Plus Android 10 on my poco. I've managed to get V4A to work but when I flash Dolby Atmos and reboot the device and try to open it nothing happens and after some time and after 10-15 attempts of trying to open it a crash message appears. I also tried installing Dolby Digital Plus for Android Q but that crashes as well

Make sure that SELinux is permissive as they will not work in enforcing
Flash permissiver zip file to fix it
I am also currently on PE+ latest and have not encountered any such issues
My recommendation is use Dolby digital instead as it is more stable (v7.2)
